"My name is Argos, and I'm going to be the BEST pirate ever!"
The small Kalon grinned up at you, his paw proudly resting upon his fluffy chest.
You quickly looked the bold kit over. You noted that he was shorter than most, almost like he was the runt of the litter. Not TOO short, but still enough to notice. He had a wide array of markings that spread upon his pelt, and he had a very cocky smile plastered to his face. You raised an eyebrow and tried to suppress your laugh.
"Hey," Argos' face morphed into a pout and his ears dipped down. "What's with that skeptical look, huh? You think that just because I'm short, I can't be an awesome pirate?"
He puffed out a haughty laugh and dramatically whipped around. He took a few steps forward, then turned his head back and watched you.
"ｗｅｌｌ, ｓｔｒａｎｇｅｒ. ｌｅｔ ｍｅ ｔｅｌｌ ｙｏｕ ａｌｌ ａｂｏｕｔ ｍｙｓｅｌｆ, ａｎｄ ｙｏｕ'ｌｌ ｓｅｅ ｗｈｙ ｉ'ｍ ｇｏｉｎｇ ｔｏ ｂｅ ｏｎｅ ｏｆ ｔｈｅ ｇｒｅａｔｅｓｔ ｐｉｒａｔｅｓ."

Argos has explored the waves aboard a massive pirate ship since the moment he was born. He lives with his father, Chadwick and the rest of the crew on their pirate ship. The ship is his home, and the ship is where he belongs. No one could convince him otherwise. He believes it's the only place he'll EVER belong. He has travelled onto land only a few times, and every time he did he absolutely despised it. Every time he climbed onto sandy beaches, he ended up turning right back around and climbing back onto his ship. The locals were always mean, the smells were bad, the food was gross, the animals were obnoxiously loud. Besides that, life upon land was surprisingly...boring. Argos could not stand it-where was all the adventure? Where were the raging sea monsters? Where were the life and death battles? Where was the heart-racing treasure hunting?
The water is his home, and that's all there is to it.
ｔｈｕｓ, ｈｉｓ ｏｐｉｎｉｏｎ ｏｆ ｐｉｒａｔｅｓ ｗａｓ ｆｏｒｍｅｄ;
"Most believe that pirates are dirty and thieving things. They believe that all they want is to kill, drink, and pillage. Well, not every pirate is like that. Not every pirate dreams of that. There are some pirates (take me for example) that dream of heroically saving others. Who dream of swooping in and defeating the evil sea monsters. Heck yea, I'm going to steal a few things. I'm going to make bad decisions, I'm going to get myself into trouble, I'm going to say things I shouldn't say. I'm a pirate, for heaven's sake! But my point is that not every single pirate is cruel, like most people believe. I'm just a Kalon with a thirst for adventure!"

Argos is a sprightly Kalon; full of adventure and very daring. He can get overly excited- literally bouncing off the walls and buzzing around like a caffeinated bee. He'll throw himself into almost any situation and somehow manage to strategically work his way around the serious problems. This kid always has some kind of bruise or scrape. His loud mouth and easy-to-pick-on size gets him into a lot of trouble. Argos is a loyal Kalon and has learned to be only dependent upon himself and his crew. Don't get me wrong- making friends comes naturally to him. He just rarely has any opportunities to meet any other Kalons. A good friend of his, Kai, is a pirate aboard a totally different ship. Since he has very few friends and there's not much to do aboard the ship, he lives for perilous adventures and battles. Every single time Argos fights a monster or other Kalon, he insults them before leaping into battle. It's like a tradition. It also often gets a lot of his crew members in trouble as well...
Nevertheless, Argos is a short kid with a big dream.

Argos' relationship with Anahita is...rocky. It's definitely a love/hate thing. Anahita stayed with Dommy and The Jackal on their ship, while Argos went with Chadwick on his pirate ship. This makes communicating with his sister pretty difficult. Argos has always known that Anahita was destined for land, where as Argos knows he's destined for the sea. Despite that major difference, Ana is one of the closest Kalons to Argos. The two of them frequently send letters back and forth to each other. Argos tries to help Ana with her problems, even though he can sometimes get aggravated at her for always sounding gloomy in her letters. Though it's rare that Argos will ever set paw on land again, he hopes that Ana will come visit him aboard the ship sometime. He's supportive of her decision to move to land, but Argos knows he could never happily move with her.

Kai is Argos' half brother. Just like Anahita, Kai stayed on The Jackal's pirate ship. Argos knows that Kai can't be trusted as much as Ana can, but the two still have a close bond. The two don't speak often, but sometimes the two pirate ships will cross paths. It's always exciting to get to see Kai, mostly because Kai shares Argos' dream of becoming an amazing pirate. Argos hopes that one day the two of them can be a part of the same crew.

Chadwick Easton is Argos' father and easily the most important Kalon in Argos' life. Chad is everything Argos dreams of being- he's impressive, good with guns and fighting, he stands up to their intimidating captain, and he's an overall awesome dad and pirate! Argos and Chad have a sweet relationship. Chad shows him the ropes of running a ship and being a pirate. So far nearly everything Argos has learned has been taught to him by Chad. Argos hopes to be exactly like Chad when he grows up.
