He listened to her response, taking mental notes. Gosh... I hope I don't have anything growing... He was grasped out distraction as she'd said it was her first day. "Mine too, at least I think... I've met a number of people... Two people together, Ash and Alex, then this massive guy with wings appeared and took Alex away, I ran and bumped into this other guy... Darkin, I think he said. And now, I've met you. " Zach responded. "It's been a long day."

The deer-fox-human hybrid gazed up at the sky once more. "I guess I should try to get sleep or something... After all, there'll be a drastic need for food and water for everyone out here, and I bet the supplies are limited." He spoke as though they were taking part in something like the hunger games - fighting for life and attempting to avoid death.

Anna folded her wings behind her back again. She was surprised when Zach talked about the amount of people he had met. She didn't realize there were more people here. Zach was the first person she had met so far. She wondered how he had met so many people in his first day here. She had only met one person, which was Zach. This place hardly seemed like somewhere a lot of people would be, but if they were all like her, hybrids, then it made sense. She couldn't help but wonder how many people the scientists had given DNA to and made into hybrids.

As Zach spoke again, Anna nodded in agreement. She should find someplace to sleep too. That had been her original goal when she got here, since it had already been getting dark, but she hadn't had any luck finding anywhere that seemed like a good place. Anna wasn't sure what she was looking for exactly, just someplace she could sleep that wasn't out in the open, like maybe under a tree or near some sort of shrub. It seemed like she would have to sleep out in the open though, as there wasn't even that many plants around. She felt unsafe here. From what she had seen, the desert offered very little protection. Anna was not looking forward to the next day. She knew the desert would be hot when the sun came up, and she had no idea what to eat for food, or where to find it. She was also unsure about water. She knew that there was water underground, but she had no idea to get any water. The whole situation made her feel uneasy, nervous, and a little scared about what was going to happen. Anna felt like she should leave, as Zach probably wanted to be alone, but at the same time she didn't want to leave. This was the first time in a while she had been able to talk to someone, someone who was nice to her and didn't treat her like an experiment. Anna hesitated for a moment. She wondered if she should ask Zach if he knew where to find food or water, so she could be prepared for tomorrow, but she didn't think he knew, considering this was only his first day here. "Um..thank you," she said awkwardly, not really sure what to say. "For all your help." The young hybrid wanted to say more, but she had no idea what else to say.

Aki stood, she couldn't mope for much longer or she would regress into a sobbing pile of herself. 'I need to clear my head, I need to run and forget'. She ran from the pile of rocks, storing it in her mind so that it could be used later. Aki didn't know what she was searching for, but she was going to find it. Keeping a eye out for any possible water holes or worse, enemies, she began to pick up a scent from something that she couldn't quite describe. 'A friend or foe' she wondered. She decided to check it out and came upon a young teenager, seemly around her age. She cautiously moved closer, circling the teen. 'Looks can be deceiving and I don't want to take any chance'. Her claws ready to rip into him if needed, touched the boy seeing how he would react.

After hearing something approaching from about 100 yards away, Seo slowly pushed his upper body up as the tingling in his arms died down. He felt eyes on him and someone was circling him. He blinked a couple times to clear the rest of the grogginess from his mind and his ears lowered slightly and his tail wagged nervously at the tip. He felt something touch him and he let out a small growl, his tail slowly curling under him, his eyebrows furrowed, his eyes meeting the others.

Aki narrowed her eyes at the male, he did not seem to pose a threat, however he growled at her which was a sign that he was as alert as she was. ' I won't kill him just yet, but if he strikes me I will have no choice but to fight back.' She came to a stop and said
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" She hadn't seen someone for a while and hoped he wouldn't be hostile towards her. Inwardly she was hopeful that he would become her friend but on the outside as usual, displayed a cold mask towards him. "Are you injured, if so I would be willing to help you."

"You don't have to go." He blurted, seeing the uncertainty in her eyes. "I mean, we could do shifts or something, keeping watch on if anyone comes, and then tomorrow... Well there's safety in groups..." He continued, suggesting ideas."Don't feel like you have to stay though." He quickly added, looking away.

To be truthful, he too had no idea where to go, what to do or where was safe. There's mountains." He said, remembering where he had been travelling to earlier. "Mountains usually have valleys, valleys have water?"

His eyes narrowed as she spoke, his grey tinted nose twitched a little as he re moistened it with his tongue, letting it flop back into his mouth. Actually where the heck was he. He started to get up, feeling a little more alert but now slightly on edge. "I.." He started, what would he even say. What if he gave a fake name, nah this female didn't seem dumb. "I don't actually know where I am." He said, his voice small, kind of sounding like a mumble. "I'm Seo" He said afterwards, his ears slowly perking up under the dreads in his hair, one tilted backwards to catch any other noises.

"It seems we have both been moved into an area where civilization isn't present. I do not know our exact location however I know one thing is for certain, you aren't exactly human either." She looked around observing if there was any others. " My name is Aki, this place is unknown to me at the moment, but I do have a shelter that we may preside at. It is beginning to get dark and if you don't come with me, it is likely you will freeze to death or become ill, the desert we are in will get colder." She paused for a moment, kneeling down and offered a hand. "I won't bite, if you don't."

Anna paused for a moment, thinking. Her uncertainty was somewhat alleviated by Zach's suggestions to stay together, but she didn't want to be a burden to him. His suggestions made a lot of sense though, and she did kind of want to stay. It had been a while since someone she had met had been nice to her. It almost felt as if she had a friend again.

"Sure," Anna replied after a moment, "We'd probably be a lot safer that way. As long as it's okay with you?" If I start to slow him down or cause problems, I'll leave, Anna thought to herself. I don't want to cause any trouble or be a burden to him. As she listened to Zach's ideas about finding water in the mountains, she realized how good of an idea that was. He was right, there was probably a river in the mountains. Would they be able to get there though? Would the scientists or whoever they were let them get that far? Or would they be captured and put in some other part of the desert? And what about water until then? The questions filled Anna's mind. They had to try though, didn't they? It seemed like the best option at the moment. "The mountains seem like a good place to go," she agreed. "Do you think we should try to find some water here first?" the young hybrid asked. "So we can maybe take some with us while we're walking?"

Seo kind of scoffed a little when she said he wasn't exactly human. "Maybe that's why we're here, because we aren't human." He said, is tail twitching lightly. When she told him about the shelter he pondered over the thought for a moment. She could easily kill him at any time, she was probably waiting for the first sign of weakness. But he took her offer anyway, nodding and grabbing her hand, using it as a leverage to pull his small body up. After he was standing he reached behind him and dusted himself off, getting clumps of dirt and whatever was on the ground out of his tail.
