What is your inspiration for giving a character its name? (personality, history, design, species, etc.)
Usually a bit of each ,depending on the character
If they have a design element that would impact their name (eg, a strange physical trait) that their parents would notice/ name them due to, id incorporate that
but if their unique-ness is more attributed to accessories or scars gathered later in life it wouldnt effect it unless it was in their story that they changed their name or something

Thinking about shading the first one at some point, the second one was like a 5 minute sketch ;o;

if anyone wants this species I'll give them to anyone wanting to do something with them.
I do have some more thought up information about them.

What is your inspiration for giving a character its name? (personality, history, design, species, etc.)
Names from history, biblical names, mythological, things like that can really inspire names for me. The character information itself really doesnt inspire a name, I don't pick names based on character information at all really. Sometimes design can inspire a name, if it reminds me of something, in my case most are knights/medieval so names come from that aspect of design.

How do you decide on a name for a character?
Kind of agree with Sixbane on this one c: If it works with the design, it stays, if it doesnt feel right I don't choose it.
