I wanted to bring this back, I recently got a few new plants, and they seem to be doing well - i got two roses as well but one of them died :c

anyone got any advice regarding keeping roses?

Well, my orchids are doing well and I used to have roses before I gave them away. I would cut the stems diagonally so water would get to them easier. My aunt told me a trick is to put sugar in the vase or pot, but I never really tried it. Make sure they are in cold and fresh water. Instead of adding the preservative in the water, add some aspirin.

oh wow, from what i've heard orchids are tough to grow - do you have pictures?

Yeah, I posted pictures before on the thread. xD One is on page 12 and the last post, that one has all my orchids in it. I actually had to get a few more since some of them wilted. :c

sorry abt taking so long to respond i didn't see your message until now, they're gorgeous, i hope they're continuing to grow well!

does anyone have any advice for procuring and caring for tillandsia? I'm looking into getting some but I've never had it before and wouldn't even know where to acquire it from - I've heard they're easy to care for, is that true?

i didn't know the name for them until now but I love
queen anne's lace - so pretty and it grows everywhere
near me! Succulents are definitely my faves though!

hehe me too, i sometime find it hard to keep ontop of
keeping threads I make active so sometimes it disappe
ars out of existence!

I just bought a bunch of new succulents - and 5 of them
had no names so I spent about an hour searching the in
ternet to try and identify them. And I think I got all of
the names; since it's late summer I also managed to get
all of the babies from them so I hope that I'll get more
plants than I started with! ^u^ Also, I just purchased so
me more plants from online, an Aloe Vera and a Varieg
ated Ivy which are supposed to arrive within the next week.

(I'll try to get some pictures and post them!)
