She sat outside of the dog's shack, twitching her tail impatiently. Ugh... it's so boring around here... she thought bitterly, her ears drooping. A few moments later, she spotted Romeo and barked happily to him, her tail thumping against the ground. "Hey Romeo! How's it goin'?" she asked excitedly, bounding over to him

He drew in a long breath, the smell of salt and moving water flooding his nose. The beach was empty except for him, and he exhaled slowly just as the water rushed up over the shore again.

He leapt up onto the railing of the porch in front the cat's shack, sighing to himself. He knew he would never fit in. Someone like him never could. Lowering his head, he padded to the edge of the railing and sat down, his eyes narrowed and focused on the horizon.

Eyes shift in myriad hue,
hollowing from the wearying
nights of unblinking watch
as innumerable miles pass
beneath a fatigued soul.
I am she; my spirit grows
thin as the gentle curtain
of eons settles over reticent
dusk, starved for the day's
rich history.
Each thread drawn to it is
plucked, a shallow fray left
in the wake of its sudden
severing. Its modest scar
on every heart and mind will
go unnoticed and forgotten.
Each of them I commit to
memory, attaching a solemn
piece of myself to the gossamer
veil of time that billows across
a ceaseless and unbroken sky.
xxAmmy, or Am to old travelers I fear have moved on from this exhausted path.
You may see an odd sketch or two from me on occasion, though I have far less time
for such things now than I used to. Despite the responsibilities voraciously eating
up my days, I carry on with the stories in my head I have yet to learn how to tell.

"Awesome, since you're here!" she replied, copying the male and pawing at his face. "There's literally nothing to do around here..."

She spun in circled joyfully, chasing her own tail. "Then what are we waiting for? I'll race ya there!" she yipped, a could of dust in her wake as she sprinted off.

Adam; male; tags - none
Adam sighed, watching the waves crash over the beaches edges. Not wanting to get wet, he quickly forced himself to his paws and began walking to the shack. "Hmm.. Where is everyone..?" He mumbled under his breath, his tail shaking slightly.
Ava; female; tags - none
"GAH!" She screamed as she was hit with much water. "Stupid beach waves!" She shouted, hissing at the waves as she "retreated" back into the ocean. She groaned, taking in a sharp breath before scrambling off to the cat's shack.
