"I don't know..." Rabbitfur admitted, a hint of shame in his voice. "I'd sent her back to her mother before she told me why. When I pried for an answer, she wouldn't give me one, only saying how she 'didn't know', or how she 'just didn't feel like it'. She's bound to have told me off to her mother, so we could try asking her when we return." He looked at the rodent he'd caught and wrinkled his nose, not at all satisfied with his catch.

She was now back In the nursery and noticed her dad walked in and padded quickly over to him. Still In shock about her brothers death her fur was a little fluffed up.

Adderpaw smiled at Gingerpaw. "Fine," he meowed, stepping into the elders' den. "What are you.. doing?" he asked, wrinkling his nose because of the foul odor.

"We could ask. Like you, I've never seen a kit who didn't stop bugging their mothers about their ceremony," One-eye meowed, still shocked. Mallowkit was pretty mellow, but.. not an apprentice?

"We were cleaning Leopardstripe's vomit." Gingerpaw hissed. "Fox-hearted dung-face."

"What did he do?" Adderpaw asked, startled.

Rabbitfur supressed a sigh and nodded, an ear going back.
"I'd ... rather keep hunting until I find something decent to bring back. Otherwise..." He didn't want to continue. Admitting his fear would only make it sound ridiculous, and he didn't wish to be ridiculed. "You like kits. ... Don't you? It's a wellknown fact I don't, so I don't believe anyone would take me seriously if I asked." He crossed the creek at a shallow location, shivering at the cold water, and chook his coat when he reached the other side. He was determined not to let this hunt be a waste.

"He attacked Stripestar in the middle of the nursery! He also vomited and made me clean it up!" He hissed.
