Cloudgaze said nothing, just keep weeping over Mousekit. She didn't want to have to try and argue against his self blame right now, but his presence was comforting anyway. After a short while she finally composed herself enough to say, "The worst part is that I don't even know what happened." If somebody who was able to see was here, like the medicine cat, they could have told her what it looked like might have happened. She had nothing to go off of though besides knowing it was a wound on his neck.

"She...She took him away." Icekit whispered, still shocked and horrified. She was referring to how her mother had taken Mousekit's body somewhere and how Snowhare had killed him. What she thought was a StarClan cat had murdered her brother right before her very eyes and she didn't even realize it at the time.

Leopardstripe bent over Mousekit's body and took out the cobwebs. He sniffed at the wound and leaped back. It smelled like fox-dung! He stepped forward again and felt the edges of the wound. It seemed like bite marks... He couldn't tell for sure, though. "They feel like bite marks, and they smell like fox-dung. I don't think it was a fox though, they have small muzzles, and foxes can't get into camp... this was a cat."

"Oh, he had to retire early. He's blind." Gingerpaw whispered.

"Oh" she then snarled " that still doesn't mean that he has to be rude"

Rabbitfur felt the tom was getting more and more confused with him. He hung his head low, averting his gaze until they reached the creek. He gave his shaggy, sodden coat a shake, giving his shoulder a nervous lick afterwards. He couldn't forget what he came out here to do. He sniffed around for prey, not exactly surprised he couldn't scent anything.
"About ... Mallowkit, ah..." He looked back at him, tailtip flicking. "Perhaps Clan life isn't for everyone."

"Well... his kits hate him, his mate died, the leader hates him, Thrushleap hates him, he likes Cloudgaze but she is loyal to Stripestar... it's just a whole list." Gingerpaw finished cleaning the vomit and got mint to make the den smell good.

"Well... i wouldn't say with the dead mate and hating kits, but that's a whole different story." Gingerpaw explained. He started cleaning out the nests and adding fresh moss.

Rabbitfur's pelt ruffled against the cool air, making him look more like a black and white thistle than a cat.
"Mallowkit told me she wasn't looking to become an apprentice." He blinked at the tom, unable to hide the alarm in his gaze. "She doesn't want to be one; Not a warrior, nor a medicine cat. I was alarmed by this, and you should be, too."
