Cloudgaze carefully set Mousekit's body down on the nearest nest inside the medicine cat den before going to the herb storage. Everything smelled so strong in here and she absolutely hated it but if the medicine cat wasn't here to save her kit than she would have to do it herself. She nosed around until she felt cobwebs which she quickly grabbed up before returning to her dead son. She pressed them to the wound on his neck, which was no longer bleeding because he was dead.

Leopardstripe looked around. "Are those pigeons back?!" He whispered-hissed.

Cloudgaze didn't have time for whatever Leopardstripe was going on about. Her son was dying for StarClan's sake! She gave a choked sob as tears rolled down her cheeks. He hadn't moved or even cried since she had found him. He had no heartbeart. He was dead. The queen had left for only a short while and returned to this...She was such a terrible excuse for a mother.

Leopardstripe turned his head to Cloudgaze. "Are you okay, dear?" He lifted his own body up and walked over to Mousekit. Was he deeeeddd?? "I'm so sorry..." He whispered.

(I feel like Leopardstripe is just going insane at this point in time)

(cloudgaze doesn't want an insane mate. she could deal with a blind one, though that isn't preferable, but not so much a crazy one. she needs someone to protect her and her babies! if you want him to go crazy, go ahead, but she won't want to get into a relationship with him then i'm afraid :c )

Cloudgaze stopped what she was doing to curl around Mousekit. She hardly heard what Leopardstripe had said as she was too busy sobbing over her son.

Leopardstripe bowed his head and started grooming Cloudgaze. "I'm sorry... I should've been in the nursery... this is all my fault.."

She awoke when she noticed her mom was gone and she smelled blood "whe-where is Cloudgaze? And what happened" she said with a yawn while turning to icekit.

Cloudgaze said nothing, just keep weeping over Mousekit. She didn't want to have to try and argue against his self blame right now, but his presence was comforting anyway. After a short while she finally composed herself enough to say, "The worst part is that I don't even know what happened." If somebody who was able to see was here, like the medicine cat, they could have told her what it looked like might have happened. She had nothing to go off of though besides knowing it was a wound on his neck.

"She...She took him away." Icekit whispered, still shocked and horrified. She was referring to how her mother had taken Mousekit's body somewhere and how Snowhare had killed him. What she thought was a StarClan cat had murdered her brother right before her very eyes and she didn't even realize it at the time.

She was now more confused than before "wait wait..? Who took mousekit? What happened to him and why do I smell blood?" She meowed starting to panic a little for her brother who she guess icekit was referring to because he was no where to be seen along with her mom

Icekit's blue eyes flickered onto Skykit now to stare into her gaze. "Mousekit is dead!" She suddenly blurted out, only fully accepting this now. She might not have been very close to the skittish tom and was always teasing him but he was still her brother and she would never wish him dead. The white tabby whimpered with guilt and fear.
