blackpaw was born to a breezeclan tom and a kittypet molly.
her mother, pepper, insisted that her unnamed kits be raised
in the clan so they'd never be separated, and so her father s
mokeflight took them away. he left them beside a queen who
se kits had died the day prior, and never confessed that they
were his. smokeflight watched them grow up from afar, as th
e queen, bumblefrost, nursed them as her own. they were na
med cinderkit, nightkit and blackkit, and all seemed healthy
and full of energy. however, after they all reached three moon
s disaster struck. cinderkit had gotten very sick, and died a f
w days after. both smokeflight and bumblefrost were devista
ted, and from then on the queen became even more protecti
ve of her adopted kits. the two soon became nightpaw and b
lackpaw, and while nightpaw excelled in his warrior training
lackpaw kept failing. however, she had a way with herbs and
always loved to watch the medicine cat work in her free time.
finally, blackpaw confessed she wanted to become the medic
ine cat apprentice, and it soon happened. sadly, nightpaw di
ed of a fox attack and since then instead of succumbing to gr
ief, blackpaw has kept on with her duties in order to honor h
her dead siblings and foster mother (who died of greencough
). smokeflight has since become a loner and his whereabouts
are unknown. to this day blackpaw is happy with her work, &
wouldn't trade her job for the entire world. ────────── ★
