I'm new here, so uh, hello!^^ This summer I actually created my first fursuit with one of my friends, (might post pictures later if i can). so if you need any tips I can try to help. I think many different sites sell/auction fursuits, but that they tend to be very expensive. You may have better luck just buying a head and creating the paws by yourself or just buying the suit and making the head by yourself etc.LadyBlueBird wrote:I'm having a hard time making a suit...
This site is very helpful and provides lots of useful fursuit making tips, instructions etc.

Cool, making a fursuit is very time consuming, but it's also really fun. My friend and I made our fursuit heads out of foam as demonstrated on the website i linked earlier. We had to use a lot of hot glue though, and we ended up with a huge mess with all the fur and foam we were using. I recommend making your suit in a place where you don't have to worry about the mess as much, like the basement etc. Also, a sewing machine makes the paws go a lot faster. XD

Thanks for the advice.
I would love to make a fursuit someday, but Mom probably won't let me use it and she can't sew. She is a little overprotective sometimes. How long does making a fursuit usually take, anyway?

Ohh its been a while since I posted on the cs furys thread <3.
Love the sketch bongo aww but he has one arm >;.
Critics I have none seeing I cant draw worth a flip.
Oh yes yet AGAIN I changed my fursona =.=.
I feel retarded because I cant stick to one thing to long but eh I keep fining another animal that seems to match my personality more. So far I tend to do this trend thing were I'm in love with one animal move to the next. So far I'm a coon named Kit-Kat lts attept to stay this way hopefully.
Well maybe this new verson of Kit is the one if not I'll keep swaping till I find the right animal markings ect.
Tips on making or finding a fursona... sorry no help there << I cant even stick to one animal long enough so might want to look up a few things befor asking around it helps alot more to look things up on your own. I did and I know alot more of the fandom I'm still a new n00b but I still know a bit more today then yesterday ^^.

Call me Kit.

Just for sharing:
For those of you who have a more permenant fursona, how did it come about?
I'm encouraging the story sharing in a way to give some hope to those furs 'round here who think they 'can't find one'.
Here's mine:
Originally, I went by NightCat. In fact, my fursona was a housecat- with blue hair. A far cry from her current appearance. Over the years, she began to change. In 2001 she was a big cat. In 01 I added the double-tipped ears. In 04 she became a hybrid (half wolf) and I changed her coloring from white to brown. She didn't become more hybrid until about 06, and I recently added lemur markings this year ('11). I feel that sometimes, a fursona's appearance can change with you. We all change as we get older, and the character that represents us often does the same.
Anyone else have any input?
As far as everything else I didn't reply to: I can never critique art, I'm actually terrible at doing that, but I always pop in here and look at all your guys pictures.

@ Cacophony
Well, the story of my fursona goes like this. My and my friend had decided that my personality almost completley fit a wolf so she came up with my first fursona Autumn. She was a quad for a while then I changed her to anthro. One day I found out that I didn't really click with her and me being a complete wolf wasn't really working. So I brainstormed some other species and came up with a dragon and a husky and combined them with a wolf. Kat was born. I have no idea where the name came from but I liked it. Her design changed only once and then I finally clicked with her and have had her for about two years.
