Greywing - Deputy - Status: Sick
Greywing stood, shaking out her pelt gingerly so not to upset her already gurgling stomach. She felt as if she must have eaten crowfood, or possibly been in a bad fight where her stomach was ravaged. But, she had done neither, as the scrawny squirrel had been fresh and the full moon had just passed. She padded to the entrance, glancing around camp hesitantly. Did she really want Pinepaw with her at the moment? No, not really. With a sigh she turned and went into the territory, grey and white tones blending easily with the fresh powder on the ground. As she padded up a well trod trail, she felt that it was a bit icy. The sun had come up and melted a bit of the surface snow, making it slick and dangerous. However, the trail was narrow and thin, dropping off sheerly to her left and the mountain rising just as steep to her right. A slight wind picked up, blowing unpacked snow from above into her view and making the trail even more dangerous. "Okay, time to go back," She muttered slightly. This outing was supposed to help her get fresh air and calm down her stomach, not make it tense even worse. She supposed it was her fault for choosing this trail instead of one at the base, but she couldn't help it. It was usually easier to breath up here. The trail widened just a bit and she slowly turned, digging her claws into the icy ground. However, a sudden burst of wind hit her broadside as she was mid turn, putting her off balance and causing her to fall. She yowled, more of screeched, as her already snow-slicked fur caused her to slide down the slightly tilted trail. She pawed desperately at the icy snow, crying out as she only sent herself closer to the edge. "Starclan, help me!" She choked, haunches slipping over the edge. She just barely found paw holds before she fell, though, they weren't the best. They were already slipping as she attempted to drag herself up. Snow flew into her eyes, forcing her to close her eyes. She felt her paws drag over the ice and, no matter how hard she gripped with her claws, the wet ice simply wouldn't catch her. Even as her paws came loose she gave another desperate attempt to launch herself back onto the trail, but she only fell back. She pawed at air for moments, before everything went black with one, awful thump.
