How do they deal with their difficulty hearing?:
Ana finds it very difficult to actually fit in, with the way her hearing is. So because of this, she doesn't tend to stay around big crowds. She has a friend, Ryanne, who helps her around - makes sure she doesn't run into any trouble or get herself hurt. Even with her difficulty of hearing, her ears are rather sensitive, and she wouldn't appreciate having them yelled into. The distance of how far she can hear is also very small, you have to be within a few feet of her for her to actually notice you're trying to get her attention. But even from far off, with the help of her friend, she has developed a way to still communicate and understand. She often lip-reads, so she can see what others are saying, and respond back in her own voice.
