Long-ish post ahead!
Thank you so much for the welcomes, guys!
Also, I have already managed to obtain two new characters in the past day, who I'd like you to meet! (Along with one slightly older character who is still in need of a name >.<)

First up we have my new lil boy Macabre, he's a vixling! (Species by Ampersand with design by me)


Next is an unnamed Kleeare I just received as a custom. Any name suggestions? Currently I'm considering the name Amarillo with the show name 'Don't Mess With Texas', but I'm not sure if it fits him. (Species by canis, with design by Salute The Private)


Finally, my only slightly older wolf character! They're really in need of a name, and any help would be appreciated! (They don't have a specified gender yet, so that might depend on the name they're given ^^) (Lines by BugaBee with design by smarty)

Now, on to some question answering~ c:<

Pick 5 Characters, order them 1-5! (Just names are fine!)

Characters 1 and 3 are in an argument about sharks, which one is the most logical whilst arguing?
Arthur.
He's much more calm and collected, while Jupiter's big personality gets in the way of proper debate.

Character 5 went swimsuit shopping, what did they get?
Dovesplash isn't all that in to clothes (seeing as she is a common cat), so she just browsed. If she had to buy something, it might have been a beach towel.

all of Characters are at the beach, who's doing what?
Jupiter is trying to splash everyone as much as possible. Kainai is sitting under an umbrella on a towel, grumbling about how sand gets everywhere. Arthur is making a small sandcastle, although he hasn't quite come to terms with the fact that it'll be washed away or destroyed soon after they all leave. Auryon is hesitating at the water's edge, not sure if he wants to try swimming or not. He's never actually tried before, and he's rather nervous about it all. Dovesplash refuses to be near the rest of them, and so she's at the other end of the beach looking through tide pools.

Character 4 is on vacation, they bump into character 2! What happens?
Auryon would be both confused and delighted, and probably rather oblivious to Kainai's irritation. He was on vacation too, and he was hoping to be left alone.

Hey guys, I wanted to get some feedback on the questions I have for making my own species.

There have been some controversy over on dA, on whether or not people should or shouldnt make species closed or open. I personally dont mind either way, but I dont want to turn users away from joining any species I plan to create.

So my questions to you guys are

1. If I made the species semi-open, but you had to first-time purchase the rights to own the species (example: I upload the information and charge 150 points to be able to create adopts/color in the lines with your own design that you want, following the design guidelines I set) would you be more inclined to join the species.. or would you prefer I kept them close with certain artists designing the designs.. Or would you rather them always open, and you just follow my design guidelines?

2. What type of species are you most interested in seeing more of, that arent overused already or arent already copyrighted design aspects?

3. Similar to question 2, do you have any design suggestions that you would really like implemented in a species, but havent been able to translate those designs into art and want to have me do that for you? or include those ideas into my own species?

The first is by ThulianShadow and is based off of the Yoszume from Japanese (I believe) Lore: (She is the one with blue wings!!!!)


And the other is part of a new semi-open species by a friend of mine, EyesLikeMorphine, called a Nirios: (She is the white one with blue hair and red eyes!)
