Wings of Fire: The Darkest Hour (Not Accepting)

Gale broke into a fit of giddiness at the hybrid's remark. "AHAHAHHHHAHAH! RRRREEAPER!" he yowled, tumbling over himself and accumulating multiple scratches and bruises in the process. "WE'RE ALL DOOOOOMED ANYWAY!" his crazed grin widened, and he cackled a psychotic cackle, spraying spittle everywhere. His whole body convulsed and he retched just outside the bars of his cell, throwing up the remains of whatever the guards managed to get to him without losing a limb. He continued his laughter, a tortured, sorrowful, humorless laughter that betrayed the real depths of his insanity.

Snowstorm continued to study the necklace on the hybrid, her talons feeling warmer as Pharaoh placed his on her's. "It's animus-touched," she said quietly. "It must've been to keep him asleep." Under her talons, the stone felt like it was constantly shifting, making the world.. seem off. "The whole entirety of the tunnels are enchanted," she observed, "to carve itself into the coming futures. Thousands of them. It must've been enchanted like this over two thousand years ago." Snowstorm tapped a claw on the smooth surface. "Then they paint what has already happened. It makes sense, doesn't it?"

Pathfinder quickly covered his ears before Chaoscaller exploded, but her mind was equally furious. "We'll get them before she realizes they're down there!" he said quickly. He tried scanning Snowstorm's thoughts, the distance making it difficult. "Let's go." Pinning his wings to his sides, he bounded past Chaoscaller and into the tunnel, the layout memorized from the thousands of times he went down in the massive network of passageways. After a long while of running, he sharply turned to the right and under the spiral staircase, into a small hole that no dragon would've noticed immediately. Pathfinder easily slipped in, walking cautiously down the steep passage. It felt like hours dragged on, until the darkness was illuminated by an eerie, faint blue light. The tunnel slowly leveled out, and Pathfinder stepped out onto a ledge high on one of the walls of the main history cave. He gestured with his talons for Chaoscaller to stay silent, and pinpointed Snowstorm's thoughts. She's in the center of the room, down the circular tunnel.

[AGGUA!]

Pharaoh-
Pharaoh's face lit up, like it always did when he discovered something amazing. "That necklace is the only thing keeping him from tearing this world apart. If anything happens to it, he'll find his own way out of the wretched prison he finds himself in." He removed his talons from Snowstorm's, which now felt much cooler, but in a nice way. "We should get out of here... Maybe go after Star. What if she warns the nightwings?" He HATED thinking about that... He didn't want to think that she would betray them. AGAIN.

Chaoscaller-
I'll approach her, first. She trusts me more than you... Even if that isn't a lot, she muttered, brushing past Pathfinder and diving silently off of the overhang. Chaoscaller landed at the rim of the hole, reaching her front talons in, then jumping down and landing with a loud thump on the rock ground. She looked up, stalking towards the icewing and the sandwing, the sandwing turning to look at her with his eyes wide. "Odd finding you down here, isn't it?" Chaoscaller said smoothly. "So... You basically made your way down here... In a different tunnel... NOT the one I was leading you to... But still, I'm a little wounded, considering you didn't give a damn about what happened to me. Those guards nearly FRIED my ass." She let out a sigh, shaking her head.

Snowstorm glanced over her shoulder at Chaoscaller, and kept a calm look on her face despite her surprise. "Nice to see you again," she said coolly. "And what were we supposed to do? Trust a NightWing in Foreseer's army? We're not stupid." She dropped her front talons to the stone floor, and slowly circled Chaoscaller, eyes narrowed slightly. "And odd finding you down here. Why lead us to here, when it's undoubtedly an important place? You run the risk of running into guards." I guess we're rather lucky in that department. I'm surprised patrols haven't gone down here yet.

Pathfinder crouched down on the ledge, blending into the shadows, despite his lighter scales around his spine and face. He strained his ears to listen to their conversation, and blocked out any minds except Snowstorm's and Chaoscaller's. He wished he could hear Pharaoh's, but, like all the dragonets, he had skyfire. Should I come down? Or follow Star?

Vine turned a corner and almost screamed when he saw cages full of prisoners. His gaze was fixed on a SkyWing. He was laughing, a sound that made Vine want to curl up into a ball. "Who are you?" He demanded, slowly creeping towards the crazed prisoner.

(I probably won't be on much because I am in India and here wifi is rare. I'll be back on the 8th of July, but due to jet lag I will most likely start being more active around July 9th.)

Cutting off his fit, Gale turned to the newcomer, pupils dilating. "Whooooo am I?" he repeated. "Whooooo am I? Who am I?" He clasped his talons to his head, lashing it back and forth. "Whooooo?!" he demanded to nobody in particular. He then cowered in the corner of his claustrophobic cell, quivering.

There's no life down here... Nothing to eat... Nothing to KILL... Nothing... Those were his first thoughts as he progressively shook off drowsiness enough to think and say complete sentences. He had opened his eyes, but there was nothing but inky blackness for miles. Nothing here. If he were lucky, an animal would find its way in his prison every once in a while, so there WAS a way out... But it was likely very small and out of reach. He felt starved. Malnourished. His thirst for blood growing stronger and stronger with each passing hour. He had been gone for far too long... But he would be back before long.

Reaper-
"You're a LUNATIC, THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE!!!" Reaper fumed, slamming his barbed tail on the stone ground over and over and over again. He let loose a bit of frost breath, but it barely reached the bars of Gale's cell before evaporating into the air. Being in this heated environment for this period of time must be messing with his icewing side, and with his frost breath, which was something he had never experienced. He had been here for so long now... So long...

Chaoscaller-
Oh, you should come down, Chaoscaller's mind growled at Pathfinder as she kept her face expressionless. "I am not associated with Foreseer, believe you me. She tried to murder me not long ago; when I was the one to capture the rainwing queen, not her. Making me do the dirty work while she sat by and watched. Stabbed me in the back. I've learned my lesson, dragonets." Chaoscaller wasn't sure where she was going with this conversation, but it would do until Pathfinder showed up. She took a small step back towards the exit hole, not wanting them to escape. There wasn't another way out.

Pharaoh-
"So?" Pharaoh demanded, lashing his barbed tail as he stood up beginning to circle Chaoscaller as well, but at a larger distance than Snowstorm.

"And we've learned ours," Snowstorm replied calmly, still slowly circling Chaoscaller and flicking her wings ever so slightly upward, like she was about to take off any moment. She met Pharaoh's eyes for a moment, continuing to flick her wings upward, then turned back to Chaoscaller. "Sorry, buddy. But we have to go. Can't hang around NightWings." Snowstorm suddenly burst forward, bounding towards the older NightWing and roughly slamming her talons on her side. "NOW!" she roared to Pharaoh, snapping her wings open and launching into the air.

Yeah, but.. They'll recognize me. Who knows what they'll - do. Pathfinder's thoughts trailed off for a moment as he watched the IceWing shoot upwards. Before he knew what he was doing, the NightWing had barreled into Snowstorm, knocking her off-course and towards the ground. He then twisted around and extended his talons, latching his jaws just below Pharaoh's barb and attempted to climb onto his back. He was momentarily distracted by a new mind suddenly popping up in his own, filled with sinister thoughts, but brushed it away for the moment.

[AGGUA!]

Chaoscaller-
"You get the HELL BACK HERE, MISSY!!!" Chaoscaller roared, shooting upwards and through the hole in the ground. She knifed her talons between Snowstorm's tail scales yanking her back downwards and swinging her around, releasing her when she slammed into the wall with the image of the hybrid. Chaoscaller pounced with her talons outstretched and a wild look in her eyes, drops of blood rolling off of her talons.

Pharaoh-
Pharaoh roared in pain and rage, flailing his wings in an attempt to loosen the larger nightwing's grip. He tried to stab his barb into the dragon, but he didn't have enough room. He felt his spine slam into the rock mouth of the exit, feeling something like a snake slither down his scales, knowing it was blood. More pressure was applied to the area near his barb, and he was worried that the nightwing might even bite it off. But he also knew that the venom that circulated near that area would ooze into his mouth and kill him. Pharaoh felt claws everywhere, felt sharp things all over his scales, like he was being attacked by more than one dragon. He thrashed around like a dying carp, breathing fire in all directions and lashing out with his claws. He was a poor fighter, but sometimes going completely nuts worked.
