A Machibo is a serpentine-like creature with a hooded neck and a tufted tail. They're generally nocturnal or live in darker places due to it being more easier for them to live - they don't have any eyes so they have to rely on their surroundings to hide them while they find food with a strong sense of smell and taste. Their larger size, claws and teeth help them capture prey easier.

Machibos are bulky nocturnal animals that typically live in darker places on land, preferring caves, thick forests and generally barren lands, however some are known to adapt to lighter or underwater areas, taking on temperate forests, cave and deep waters. They prefer darker areas due to their lack of eyes - they don't need the light and it's harder to detect the large predators without it.

They find their prey primarily by their strong sense of smell and if necessary taste, however they also have a hearing mechanism similar to snakes, which allows them to hear vibrations that the animal creates. Machibos prefer going after larger herbivores to sate their need for food but they're known for not shying away from predators their size or smaller, same as with smaller animals, such as rodents. Instead of actively stalking their prey, aquatic Machibos prefer to lie in wait near the shore and pull their meal into the water or to simply hunt in the water and consume whatever their preferred home provides.

Machibos typically live in small groups from two to five (2-5) members but they can also live either a solitary life or in larger groups, which have no known hierarchy. They lack sexual dimorphism, so any differences between them are usually due to individual mutations. Breeding occurs between two or three (2-3) Machibos of any gender combination, which results in one to three (1-3) eggs in a nest. Baby Machibos typically lack a neck hood and the tail tuft, but hatch with hard teeth and claws. Some may have their growth stunted due to whatever reason, but it is rare.
