I think there is about 10 or so dragons.. and 2 or 3 mimics with crests x3 <-- Meaning they ARE the rarest, also proven by Birdy.
and of course I have a dragon corgmic <3 xD

I wonder, does genetics carry through to the far kin of mimics? Akita's father is Cadycatt's custom (The one with bird feet) and Akita is a dragon. Like, do Kat and Kacey (And their littermates and their littermates' kin) carry the dragon gene? (And possibly the bird-foot gene) Essentially, if Kat or Kacey were to have a litteer, could there possibly be a dragon kit? A dragon kit with bird feet? Kacey is Kitara's great-grandchild and she still has Kitara print...

Example that's easier to understand:

Mimic A has a certain marking. She breeds with Mimic B and Mimic C is born. Mimic C then has a litter with Mimic D, of course producing Mimic E. Could Mimic E, Mimic E's littermates or Mimic E's kits have Mimic A's special marking?

It all depends on the artists.
But I think only the one that HAS the dragon lineart will pass its gene. Since the artists are not going to look if his litter mates are normal and vise versa. If you understand what I mean.

A question for customs: are people allowed to 'invent' mutations?

Dragon-base is least used because I believe only birdy has that lineart ^^
Sata and I only have regular, bobbie, and corgmic :3

I like using the corgmic base the most, so sorry for lack of variety there x3


As for customs, yes you may invent mutations but it costs more. Such mutations have a chance of appearing in the wild though (although slightly different), with the owner's permission ^^
