She followed him back to his shelter and took a seat back where she was.

He nodded and said, "Yeah! Scouts go out daily for food." He weaved through the crowd of people. Most people moved out of the way for him, while some just stayed in the way

Zoey followed Beta. "Well that's good. Although I'd feel bad for anyone out in this storm right now." She said.

(( I literally just woke up and it's almost 3 in the afternoon o-o ))

He sat down next to her with a little sigh

Beta
He nodded and said, "Yeah.... We usually don't send anyone out during storms. They're usually the ones to alert us, actually."

She put her hands between her knees. "So was there anything else you wanted to tell me about yourself? I promise this time I'll stay." She said with a small side smile.

He smiled and said, "Well it's about my past..... I was born here and left for dead. Got taken in by a lovely family and lived a happy life. Then the waves hit..... Second wave killed them all..... The last thing my adopted little brother said to me was, 'Survive.....' I found Beta and his family, but the Third wave killed them all..... Then we were alone. Then we found more survivors and created the Hounds. And I found you...... And to be honest, my life just got better."

She listened intently to his story. It was sort of as expected but still sad. When he meantioned her she blushed a bit, her already rosy cheeks got pinker. She smiled genuinely then. "I'm sorry about your past but I'm glad it's a little better now." She said, not sure what else to say.

He smiled and said, "Thanks...."

"My turn I guess." She said taking a breath. Seeing if he was finished and if she wanted her to speak.

"Spot light's yours." He said to her

"Alright. Well my dad left when I was only a few years old. I had a step dad for a few years before the first wave. I also had an older brother by two years. We didn't get on most of the time. A normal life until the waves hit and killed them. Somehow my dogs survived which I'm glad for. Oh and my last name is Clarke. Thats all I can really think of." She told him, speaking slowly.
