She got up and paced her room quietly, careful not to wake Scott up, but he was heavy sleeper. After a few minutes, the walls seemed to start closing in, so she started wandering the hallways, lingering outside of Steve's room, but ultimately deciding not to wake him.

Her voice reached him through a wall of sleep, and he was up in an instant, "what is it Coal?" He tried to shake the sleep from his voice as he walked into the bathroom. As he entered his jaw dropped, and he looked from Coal, to the splatters of blood that surrounded the bathroom, "what the heck?" He finally managed to get out.

She gave him a weak smile before turning so he could see the back of her head. "I'm sorry for being you into this mess I made of myself. Just I had a bad dream and I hit the head board..." She laughed then winced in pain. The wince made her whole body shrink even more, turning to look at him again she had one eye open the other closed in pain. She was biting her lip, "I'll clean up the blood and f-fix the headboard... But can you help with the.." She pointed to her head she stared at her feet. A feeling of regret filled her, she didn't mean to make the mess and she didn't want him upset. The way he looked at her made her see how sad she made him. "Am I making you sad?" She asked, looking up at him. She actually had to tilt her head back to look him in the eyes, seeing as how short she was. "I don't want you to be sad, Cappie.."

He looked at her for a second, before shaking his head, "Coal, you're not making me sad," he put his hand against her face before thinking, but didn't move it, "but tell me the truth, okay? It wasn't a dream, was it?"

She leaned into his hand, closing her eyes taking in his warm rough touch. She didn't answer him for a moment then sighing she didn't open her eyes or didn't stop leaning into his hand. "I thought it would hold him.. And I thought they could keep him from getting to me, but he came anyway..." Then a thought hit her, standing up straight she looked around panicked. "Leonardo!" She cried, looking around. Racing from the bathroom she turned on the lights in the room, "Leo! Answer me please!" There was nothing, no out lines, no brushes of wind in her ear, nothing. "He got rid of them." Look back at Steve she stared in horror at him, "HE GOT RID OF THEM ALL! LEONARDO, RAPH, DONNIE, MIKEY..." She went on listing them, "Bumblebee, Gaige, Steven, Holly.." She pushed her hands into her ears, making the shirt raise up slightly. "Oh my god... Its so lonely without all the voices..." Looking around she tried to find something that wouldn't break. Throwing out a hand she let her flames hit a wall, "I HATE YOU JOEY!" She screamed. "I want them back! Give them back!" She yelled at nothing. "Leo... Please I need you.." She whispered, hoping he would show up knowing Joey wouldn't undo it.

"Coal! Stop!" He raced to her, taking her in his arms before he thought about it, "shh," he cooed into her ear, lifting her off the ground, and walking over to his bed, sitting her down on his lap, and trying to ignore the flame on the wall, "Coal, sweet heart, calm down, okay? Calm down, everything is okay," he looked into her eyes, and brushed her hair out of her wild eyes, "you're okay, Joey won't hurt you as long as I'm here, I'll protect you."

She struggled to get out of his arms, "He wont hurt me! He cant! I'm his puppet! He needs me! But he'll hurt them!" She kicked his chest, escaping his tight grasp. She wiggled off the bed the shirt getting hung everywhere, but finally on her feet she raced for the bedroom door. Flinging it open she came face to face with Raph, "Raph! Your okay!" She threw her arms around his neck but he didn't return the hug. Pulling back she realized he wasn't actually there. Looking around in confusion she whimpered, "Whats happening to me..."

As Steve's door flung open, she flattened herself against the wall, and held her breath. Something told her Coal was in there, and she wasn't ready to face her just yet. Her friend's voice sent chills down her spine, as she called to an unseen figure, maybe she was insane.

"Coal," he caught up to her in the doorway, "you're not a puppet, and he won't hurt anyone, I won't let him, your, erm, friend's, they'll be okay, I promise, please come back so I can fix your head."

She took his hand in hers and stumbled back into the room, her head low. Giving him a look of someone waiting for orders. "Go ahead fix it..." She played with her hands, forgetting all about the pain.

The door finally closed, and she let out a sigh of relief, but was suddenly taken over by guilt. She shouldn't have hid from Coal, she should be offering the offering the emotional support she knew her best friend would be needing.

"Come on," he led her back into the bathroom, and locked the door, so she couldn't spontaneously run out again. He rummaged through his medicine cabinet, retrieving the peroxide, and some bandages, "this might sting," he warned, before applying the peroxide, and attaching the bandages.

She winced as he cleaned her wound. After he was done she turned her body so she was facing him, but stared down at her hands. Not wanting to make eye contact because it would make it even more embarrassing. Quickly she looked up and gently pressed her lips to his, then pulled away and looked back down at her hands.
