Jared's eyes widened slightly when Erik kissed his hand, but he smiled softly when he found that it felt kind of nice. He glanced at the the ride when he saw the other man looking at it and asked, "What? The Ferris wheel?"

"Yeah." Erik chuckled as the other riders got off and it was there turn, he headed on with him happily, he was actually excited for this, he loved trying neew things.

Jared's smile grew bigger when he saw Erik's excitement. They got on and the wheel turned in a slow circuit as the other cars filled. Once it was full though it sped up some and they were on their way. The first spin seemed to go on ok, but as their car approached the top a second time Jared seemed to tense slightly and gripped Erik's hand a little tighter.

"You okay?" Erik asked as he looked over at the other boy when he tensed, he was a little worried as he looked around. He squeezed Jared's hand gently. He didn't want him to be scared about this, and Erik wanted to help him relax and enjoy the ride as well.

Jared took some comfort when he felt Erik squeeze his hand but it didn't last for long. "Umm... Not exactly. I have this thing about heights..." he trailed off, biting his lip and shaking his head slightly.

"And you wanted to go on the ferris wheel?" Erik asked in shock as he looked at him, "Why would you do that?" he asked as he squeezed Jared's hand once more to try and reassure him.

"I wasn't one who wanted to, you were and I didn't want to tell you no. Besides sometimes I can deal with it. I guess this time I couldn't," Jared explained a level tone. He kept his gaze trained on their hands while they were still on the top of the wheel, but began to relax and looked up at Erik as they began their descent.

"You should have just said no." Erik said softly as he looked at the other guy, he didn't want Jared to be uncomfortable. "It'll be okay, we are almost done." he said softly, rubbing the back of Jared's hand with his thumb.

Jared sighed, Erik's soft voice and touch calming him. He leaned into him and closed his eyes and rested his head on his shoulder. "Erik, we still have a few more rounds to go. They give everyone, like, six rounds on the wheel," Jared muttered as the Ferris wheel continued to turn. "And it's only the top that I don't like. Being that high and not having something to protect you from falling..."

Erik lookd at him, "I will keep you from falling." he said softly as he looked at Jared, "It'll be okay, just keep your eyes closed." he said softly as he kissed Jared's hand once more and wrapped his arm around Jared's shoulders.
