Are you bothered by slight differences between art pieces of your OCs? (i.e. if the 'official' pawpad colour wasn't on the ref and some art showed them one colour, and some art another colour).

Oh yes, very. With gift art not really because the thought behind it is more than enough, but with art trades and commissions, there should be a level of quality put into it. Like, with a trade I put in a bunch of effort to make sure the character looks correct, so I'd expect the same amount of quality. Otherwise, I just feel cheated since I took the time to do art while the person on the other side wouldn't spare the same amount of effort. With commissions even moreso- I do pay to see my characters in a certain style so I don't want my payment wasted. If they don't fix it period then, well. :B To be completely fair, that's not someone I'd bother commissioning again.

Unfortunately, I've gotten used to it. It's not usually colors or markings -- usually, it's features, like Chio's limp ear (I've only had one, maybe two, artists who've gotten it correct!) or Mouat's double ears and the way they work. I try putting artist's notes on the website with their image, but it usually isnt followed.

nope! i actually tend to encourage people to change my characters designs to fit their style and change things like hairstyles and clothes to give the character different looks; this might be different for me rather than most people since my ocs are mainly human, though, lol :0
i just dont like it when they change race a lot, since i hate whitewashing, and that tends to happen to a lot of my characters with darker skin.

Nope not really. As long as they don't forget any markings or body parts (like feathers, horns, etc) or get any colors totally wrong I'm pretty much okay with anything!

nah, not really xD especially with a situation like that
if it wasnt on the ref, and i didnt tell them, i cant get bothered by them not knowing it?
likewise, if someone gave me a ref and didnt tell me the pawpad color-and i had to take a guess (though generally ill go with the nose color since in most cases they should be the same flesh tone) i'd be a lil irritated if they hassled me to fix it/ put it as my fault in the situation when my art style v obviously shows the pawpads 90% of the time and they just didnt bother to tell me it. Ill fix it in the case of an expensive commission but if its somethin little i wont bother, ive been on both ends of that cause i tend to draw so much i can miss things every now and again
im super lenient on art trades, the only time i might ask an artist to fix a mistake is if i paid a lot for a commission or somethin and they really got my chara wrong

Not at all! Like, if it was a major difference then I'd ask the artist politely if they could change it, but if it's a small little one then I don't really mind. I love all the art I get of my characters so to me I don't mind if, like the example, the pawpad is a different colour. Though, what does bother me is when I take commissions and people link me to stashes of the character that has the art in where there are some differences from piece to piece. Since I use these as references too (So if I can't see something on the ref for example) I tend to get very anxious about colouring/adding/taking something away/etc because I'm worried I'll mess up the design! This is why whenever I order art I keep an up-to-date ref that is as detailed as I can, or if anything isn't showed I let the artist know.
