Alexa smiled. "Sure." She rushed over and helped Patric with the anchor. She quickly hid the keys in her pocket.

Ella banged on the door, calling for help.

The wind was howling and the storm was thrashing the ocean into clouds of yellow foam. Patric heard a bit of yelling, but didn't pay it any mind. It was probably some drunk sailor, floundering on the beach. The anchor came out of the water with a loud creak and Patric slipped belowdeck to tie off any loose supplies before the ship sailed out of the harbor.

Milo turned halfway around to look at Jessy, then turned back and trudged off again without a word. He really didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment. All he wanted to do was leave town, find a pub, and get very, very drunk.

Ella heard someone moving around. She banged even harder, causing the wooden door to splinter and her hands to bleed. She yelled louder, causing he mouth to go dry. Neither of these things stopped her from asking for a rescue.

[Wouldn't you be? I mean, he basically just got told that he can't love the person he loves most.]

Patric heard thumping and banging and yelling coming from right above his head, from... was it Ella's room? He grabbed a broom and pounded it against the ceiling, trying to get her attention.

Ella heard the extra banging. She dropped to the floor, banging on that too. "Patric! Is that you!?!?" she shouted.

Patric pulled over a barrel of salted meat and pressed his face against the ceiling, hoping Ella could hear him. "Yeah! Are you okay? Why are you banging on your door?"

Ella stopped banging now that she had his attention. "Someone locked me in here. There is no lock on the inside." she shouted. She thought she knew who it was, but she didn't want to voice he opinions until she knew they were true.

"Locked you in?" asked Patric, incredulous. "Who? Why?"

"I don't know why. But I think it was Alexa." Ella said. She looked around for any thing she could use to get out. The room was almost completely bare.

"Maybe she doesn't want you to go after Milo," suggested Patric, although why Alexa would do such a thing he had no idea. "Maybe she won't let you out until we're too far away from the harbor for you to swim back."
