Welcome to The Car Guys (And Gals). This topic is for people to discuss their passion of vehicles. You know, the car guys (and gals).



Please be mature and respectful
You might be one of those people who's into sports cars, while other people are into mini-vans. Don't crap all over somebody who's excited about their new mini-van just because you're not into those kind of vehicles.

Please no spamming
If you want to talk about it, one or two posts at a time is acceptable. However, posting three or more is considered spam. What's also spam? Anything not-related to this topic. This topic is about cars, and anything else can go to PM.

Advice
If somebody has something wrong with their car, please advise them to go to their local mechanic, and not advise them on what it might be if you're not entirely sure. If you are absolutely 100% sure about what it is, then of course let them know what it might possibly be. But there's always that chance that you could be wrong, and you don't want to get somebody to fix something that doesn't need to be fixed.

I'm honestly surprised there's not more car people here tbh.

You'll have to get a really good job in order to have a Porsche, but they're certainly very good looking cars!
Is it hard top or soft top convertible?

I am surprised, too! I just happened to feel car vibes that day. I love
cars, for my dad fixes them occasionally. he's currently fixing someone else's
Thunderbird, which I want to steal so bad. though it doesn't ride too smooth.

I'm planning on becoming a pharmacist in any company, and I plan to work in
pharmacy tech in college while I'm at it. That way, after a few years or so, I'll
have enough saved to buy something like a 911. And I'm going for a hardtop,
for more security. [though it is more expensive.]

Ahhh my boyfriend is in love with Thunderbirds. Currently he has a 2010 Dodge Challenger. He lets me drive it occasionally

I was going to get a 67 Camaro, but the guy said it didn't start at all and I unfortunately didn't have the money to fix it, so I got my lil 2000 mustang instead. (It's a start).

Hardtops are definitely the way to go when getting a convertible. Less likely to leak, if you live in a rainy state (or province).

What other vehicles has your dad worked on?

he's worked on a bunch, but my favorites have to be Skylark from 1953.
This guy he was fixing it for had bought it at an auction out-of-state for
a series amount of money because of it's year and such. He comes back
to us with his newer Buick and other cars he collects. He's brought in a
Farlaine, it looked like something from the 1960s. He doesn't drive it,
though. The engine's bust and we can't buy him a new one :U he just
can't let go of it. Those are just two. My dad owns a business, but no
storefront. his customers jsut come down to our garage and he fixes
what he can. it's sort of his job, though he works at a car dealership in
our city, too. Cars are just his thing. I guess I enjoy them, too.
