Flame was started to feel out of breath as they ran, barely letting out a quiet yelp when a large thump came from behind them. She looked back to see Flash, who told them to keep running. Flame ran beside Winter as they approached camp.

Arrow stalked around camp, slipping through the shadows occasionally. He smelled Flash, Winter, and Flame approaching. Pricking his ears, he bounded towards the entrance to greet them, although standing in a shadow.

Apathmo nodded. The humans had found them again, and they knew the pack had pups. The fact that even the calmest healer wolf could easily defend the pack like Galen had was comforting, but Apathmo could just imagine the place swarming with humans. Apathmo looked at Galen, then looked away again. His color was most definitely bright and fierce, though Apathmo hadn't looked long enough to identify it. Instead, Apthmo turned to the other wolf. Ember looked fairly normal, but her color reminded him of a mix of two colors Apathmo couldn't identify. "Yes. We should tell the others. Perhaps the pups have made it back to the camp by now? They might need some help calming down," he said in an almost monotone. He had shown way too much emotion in front of these wolves, and Apathmo decided he didn't like that.

"Let's go," Ember said, eyes darkening. She started to head back to camp, her morphed wings disappearing.

"H-Human!" Flame said breathlessly to Arrow. "I think we saw a human and I think we have to move again!"

The beta walked quickly as she herded the pups back to camp, her guard hairs on end and ears perked. She stopped occasionally to look around, checking for any unknown figures moving around in the darkness. after seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she'd put her head back down and continue, nudging the pups forward whenever they fell behind. Many things were swarming through her mind at once; the image of Ember, Apathmo, and Galen fighting off hat human, the idea that they could no longer trust this area, trying to get the pups through this forest safely, and how Snow would feel about all this. She briefly wondered if Luna had alerted the Alpha yet, but forced herself to ignore most of those thoughts so she could focus on Flame and Winter.

The strong wolf scent of camp wasn't far now; it seemed they had made it. Flash sighed in relief, but did not entirely let her guard down, knowing the humans could still be nearby. In fact, now that she thought about it... Was camp even safe anymore? Instantly, she was on edge again, her lapse of relief forgotten. She noticed Arrow's scent was coming up ahead, and sure enough, she saw the wolf standing at the entrance to greet them. Flame surged ahead, Winter in tow, and began panting to him about the humans. Looking serious, the winged wolf sped up and stood over the pups, looking down at them. "Both of you go to the caretakers' den and wait for Ember." She said sternly, her silver gaze sharp and tail raised authoritively. She did not want either of the pups out in the open, nor did she want them to hear the inevitable discussions about moving that would be coming up soon. She briefly glanced up at Arrow and gave him a withering look.

Being rushed along by Flash and non too enthusiastic about lingering in the human invested woods himself, the little pup was sure to move as quick as his legs would carry him without getting too far away from Flash. He sought her comfort, but was also anxious about getting back to camp, making him travel at a small distance away from her. Every twig snap, ever rustling leaf, every chirping bird made him jump, thinking it was a human. It seemed to take forever until they got back to camp, but the minute he smelt the scent markers and saw the sentinel ahead of them, both he and Flame took off running. He was standing right behind the she-pup, panting along with her as she hasitly explained what was happening and what they saw. He was quickly nodding his head to all of it, softly whispering "yeah!".

When he heard the beta come up behind them, he pinned his ears back and crouched low to the ground, looking up at the larger wolf submissively. With a glare, stance, and tone like that, he had no intention of rebelling against the she-wolf. He crawled over to Flame's side and nudged her in the direction of the den. "C'mon Flame..."

The healer remained silent as Apathmo and Ember went on, his expression unreadable. He just stared at the dead human, deep in thought. Just this one human alone had required three wolves to take him down, and that was with the added advantaged of a surprise attack. His stomach twisted in worried knots as he imagined more humans, closing in around the camp and pointing their weapons at every individual, giving the wolves no way out. Granted, the wolves also had the advantage of using powers, but not all of them could use them offensively, himself and Apathmo included. And the pups? It was possible Winter didn't even have powers, and even though Flame did, she was still so young... He flattened his ears and turned away from the human, giving a shaky sign. He didn't want to think about it anymore. He didn't want to feel anything about it anymore. He just wanted to get back to camp and let whatever was going to happen happen. "Yeah..." He murmured, then began to pad back in the direction of camp.
