Nick was doing just fine until the Gravity was gone. Unlike the astronauts you see in movies he was not a fan of floating around. Nervously the engineer kicked his legs as he began to float up, frantically reaching out for something that wouldn't start floating. He curses as he remembers his toolbox was left open, meaning his beloved tools would be floating all over the place! It'd be a real hassle to find them all in the aftermath. He squirms out from in between the machinery, only to find himself floating uncontrollably about. "Ah hell!" Nick grumbles as he frantically grabs his tools as they begin to drift away. "Wait! Come back here you little..." He flapped his arms about in an attempt to grab the items out of his reach, stuffing what he already had in his pocket, which didn't really help.

"Wait," Wesley said, floating gracefully by her struggling co-worker, "you don't magnetize your tools? What are you gonna do if the artificial gravity goes out?" The engineer laughed as she kept on going, arriving at the far wall, where her toolbox sat, anchored by a large magnet in the base, and got back to work trying to put the Taurus section back in some sort of order. Not that it mattered, she doubted any repairs they did would remain repaired after they landed. "Captain," she said, speaking once more into her communicator, "This is engineering. We've got things as good as they're going to get down here, but I don't think it'll last long. Anytime you want to get us to that planet would be super, I think Frosty's missing his gravity."

Frost scoffed, "well unlike you I'm old fashioned. Magnets are for the weak! They're for hipsters!!" He said defiantly, continuing his struggle, this time trying to doggy paddle his way around. Somehow the poor engineer loses control however and begins to spin uncontrollably about, his cries faint as Wesley speaks through her communicator. "I'm about to be losing my lunch in a minute if you don't get off that stupid communicator and help me before I throw up...I can't stop spi--" he makes a gagging noise. "s-spinning d**n you!!" The disoriented engineer cries, racing his arms in a circular motion trying to stop himself before he slams into something important. "

"Oh, calm down, ya big baby," Wesley said, pushing off of the wall and floating over to Nick, effectively body-slamming him into the opposite wall. It probably hurt, but there wasn't really any other way to stop him from spinning. He was out in the middle of the room, away from anything Wesley could have used to brace herself with, so attempting to grab him would have just sucked her into his spin as well. "Didn't you do zero-g training before we launched? Don't flail around like that, it only makes it worse. Getting off of her fellow engineer, Wesley grabbed onto the lip of a missing wall panel, taking a moment to examine their handiwork. All in all, it could've been a lot worse. The structural damage was still pretty severe, they'd need a fully stocked drydock to get it back in shape, but most of the systems damage had been repaired. If it hadn't been for the power issues, they might have been able to land smoothly. "I'm going to head down to the reactor," she said, "see if we can't do anything about-" the engineer stopped suddnely, turning a faint shade of green as rather strange sensations began emanating from her stomach. "Oh god," she said, her voice strained from trying to keep her lunch down, "bad sandwich. Bad sandwich." Again, she pushed off the wall, trying to reach the small lavatory located just inside the entrance to the Taurus sector. She almost tore open the door, and pulled herself inside, just as she became unable to contain it. A series of unprintably disgusting retching noises emanated from the small room, and a few seconds later, Wesley emerged, still a faint shade of green, looking understandably worn out. "Don't go in there," she said, sliding the door shut behind her, "and don't open the door. Also, toss that stupid sandwich into the engines."

Rikimaru's eyes lit up and they froze. "Crap. Reinen's not strapped down." Rikimaru turned around, pushed their long floating hair out of their way, and pulled themself our of the cockpit. Monty whimpered and attempted to follow, only succeeding in flailing his little legs around. Rikimaru looked back at him and grabbed the poor corgi. "Come on, bud."
Rikimaru pulled themself down the halls by the beams and outcrops in the ceiling and walls. They came to the med bay and sighed when they saw Reinen's body floating about. "At least he didn't go anywhere." Rikimaru told Monty, letting go of the happy dog and letting him chew on a treat. They grabbed Reinen's arm and pulled him to the bed. Grabbing a floating tourniquet they looped it around his wrist and pulled it towards the bed, wrapping it around a bar on the bed. This effectively restrained Reinen to the bed by his wrist. The tourniquet was loose enough to slip out of but still firm enough to keep him from drifting off in the lack of gravity.

Theo wanted to go help Reinen but his place was on the bridge. As the gravity shifted he grabbed the underside of the console next to him, pushing himself against the floor, to keep himself "upright" and orientated to all the readouts. Everything seemed to be in place. All the calculations where showing a positive outcome. Well, positive, in that they wouldn't all die immediate horrifying deaths. He left the adjustments up to the AIs aboard. Their computing power and speed far out shone even the best of humans. The planet drew closer. The lack of artificial gravity wouldn't matter in a few minutes.

August

When no answer came across the comm, August sighed and made his own way out of the lab. Perhaps the med room could benefit from his assistance; after all, there had to be some sort of injuries from the chaos currently unfolding outside. Just as he passed the barracks, however, a snatch of conversation came filtering across the transmissions, one that made him stand still. Oh no- A moment later, the bad feeling was fulfilled: all of a sudden, he was free from the laws of gravity, floating in the dark corridor. August drew in a sharp intake of breath and reached out for the nearest handhold, his stomach already churning. Antigravity is the worst.
ALEC

The portion of Alec that he wasn't devoting to calculations and management watched the inside of the ship with mild amusement. Unable to waste power on his holographic image, he settled for filling the boredom by sending little messages to the screens in the cockpit. "hey guys. u think there might be aliens on this planet?" "lol i can't wait to see u all die" "jk it would be boring if u all died maybe just 1 or 2 of u"

Theo was unamused by the sassy AIs messages. He appreciated the AIs attempt to lighten the mood but right now was "go time" and he needed everyone to buckle down and keep things together. Maybe it was the inorganic's defense mechanism? Did they have those? He shook the irrelevant ideas from his head and got on the comm. "All personnel to secured locations for reentry. T-minus 120 seconds."

“Actually, we will be the aliens on this planet. But if you are referring to intelligent life forms, which I am assuming you are, then yes, there is indeed a chance of encountering such, since the planet seems to be an ideal environment.” Probably not what the AI really wanted to hear, but how should Philip be able to tell that the question wasn’t meant to be taken serious? He took everything way too serious, because he didn’t understand banter.
It was about to get quite uncomfortable in here. They would get gravity back in a few minutes, and once gravity was back, it wouldn’t take long until they hit ground. Everything seemed to work so far, he had checked his calculations again, just to go sure. However, he had to stay here to keep an eye on everything, even though the cockpit was everything else than safe. Getting the humans out was much more important, and this included the pilot.

Rikimaru growled at the message the A.I. sent, though they may had appreciated the humor had they not been in mortal peril. They put a hand to Reinen's forehead to check for a fever and was satisfied they felt no such thing. Tucking Monty under their arm gently, they pulled themself out of the med lab and began to make their way down the hallway. They had to move their long floating hair out of the way once or twice and if they had a free hand they would have been holding their cap on their head. As was, they were a mess of floating hair carrying a happy ball of corgi.
