Name:
Niles
Gender:
Male
Form:
Tasmanian devil
Personality:
Niles acts normaly like any other Tasmanian devil. He acts very, well, devilishly. He's always sour with others and feirce. Just ebcause of his short size has nothing to do with his ability to bring on a fight among the other Bones. He has no soft spot, or bone, for other Bones. He tends to treat everyone negativitly and rather fight then talk things out.

Name:
Rasha
Gender:
Female
Form:
Grizzly bear
Personality:
Rasha has a motherly instinct in her. She takes care of her kind- the Bones kind. She's sweet the one moment, but when her 'family' is threatened she gets pissy even with her 'family' untill things settle out. She doesn't like to cause harm within her group unless it's need. She'll stepforward at times, but it jsut content with lying back.

{Is it alright if I drop my old seer charactor? I jsut realized that there's alot of seers and just three bones against a bunch of tigers.}

Razi listened quietly as Seirra talked. Her words made the fur along his spine stand up with unease. His eyes shut for a second, whishing for a second that things could be back to where the Bones were kept at peace with songs. What had gone wrong? Everyone knew what went wrong, just that no one seemed to admit to the Tribe's fault. They ahd forgotten- forgotten about the past Tribe's lifeline legacy of traditions. The traditions had fadded away and so had the barrier that had protected the Tigers from the Bones' mission to rule over the stripped felines.

When the white Seer's word snapped the young cat abck to the present, angsiety prickled along him again. Her commands were simple to follow, something that he knew he could do with ease. The hunter sprang to his large paws and sprinted off back towards the village to warn those that couldn't feel the unease. He saw Seirra go a different way, to most likly to go warn the other Seer's. Razi loward himself slightly to the ground as he gained another second of time because of his improvement in his run. He skidded to a hault as the distance between his past spot with Seirra wasn't far from the Village's center. "The Bones are here." He huffed as he tried to gather himself up from his worries. Although it looked as if most knew already. The sound of the fight was loud and easily to hear. Only the deaf wouldn't be abel to hear what was going on not even a mile away from the edge of the Village. He debated quickly over to either go see what was happening or stay and defend if a second attack would happen. The first idea won though and he dashed off clumsile through the bushes as the thought of silently lurking to the action, didn't come to mind.

Razi paused beside two other firmilular tigers. He saw as they were tensed to spring. He loward himself so that he was in the samepostion before coming up on Azta otherside that wasn't occupied. "I'm here." He said softly when he heard Azta's last comment. His tail flicked slightly as he noticed that the current Tiger fighting was his fellow hunter, Errol. Anger bubbled up in Razi as his tail whipped sharply; nearly missing hitting Azta on her flank. His paws kneeded the ground for a moment before he acted purely on blinded instinct. Instead of waiting for the other two, he sprang out of the hiding spot to help his fellow hunter. He roared his challange to the snarl that lurked in the shadows of the trees and bushes. He paused only a few meters from Errol, shooting him a look to see if he was okay. The cry that had erupted from Errol was something that Razi had heard on his run to the battle ground. The cat's golden eyes flicked hesinetly towards the Tapir- who at first he thought harmless- and then the cat snarl from the other side. He knew he had thought to rationly, with not thought of the after-math, but he couldn't back out now. He braced hismelf, waiting for any of them to make a move towards the camp, Errol, or himself. His eyes though seemed glued to where the snarl had come from as Errol leaped at the Tapir, hopefully having that Bone under control for now.

Gamba's eyes beamed as Lyra told him that she beat Otava. The glint in his eyes was lost as she insisted on working today. He listened the best he could to her intructions about his lame endurance needed to work on. Which led to today's task of a game of chase basicly. In the back of his mind, Gamba thought it was slightly unfair as Lyra's legs were long and able to cover more distance. His tail flicked back and forth agaisnt the ground as she talked. When asked if he knew what to do, he gave a nod of his head annd removed his gaze from the ground to look up at Lyra.

His mentor was gone though, and he suddenly remembered her shouting go just a minute earlier. The young lad heaved himself to his paws and dashed off into the forest that the Tribe lived in. His sall body frame easily wove in between the shrubry and whatnot that onyl gave him half the struggle that the gibber cats had. Sure, he was pretty big, but he was still smaller then his mentor. Once in awhile, he would catch a glimpse of a bright, ringed tail slightering away, but Gamba would then slow down; huffing and puffing. His legs ached, screamed, basicly threw a tamtrum for the yearling to stop. The only relief he gave them was the common slowdown. After thinking about Lyra's win against Otava, he thought it would be better to atleast give a good effort before pooing out even before they reached camp.

He realized where Lyra was leading him now. A smirk formed on his lips as his surroundings became more noticable. With the Bones around, he wasn't allowed to venture out too far. The area around him was well know to the little gy. He veered from Lyra's tracks and into the unmarked ground. Glimpses of his pelt could be seen as he streaked between the sunned ground. With a new found strength, Gamba pushed himself for all he had. He could feel the strength falling though, but it was enough to see Lyra's shadowy figure slightly. He began to make his way towards her, moving slightly to left; slowly closing in. The sound that his body was causing was only that of his paws thumping lightly agaisnt the ground and the huffing he was making through his slightly parted jaws. Knowing that he should either make a move know or lose, Gamba pushed him self. With a last leap from the ground, the youngling braced himself as he crashed through ferns and scraping his back legs slightly agaisnt a tree as he reached his front paws out for the large tigeress.

.L. .y. .r. .a.
.Driven by my toxic dreams.

The large tiger’s body flew through the air, straight for camp. She knew her apprentice well. He was smart enough to figure out the lesson within her fight. He had probably taken a detour knowing where she was heading. Lyra was known for studying anyone that was in her life. If Gamba kept his follower attitude intact, he would follow her orders and do his best to capture her.

As the tigress’s paws touched the soil of a small clearing, she was ambushed. Gamba had torn through the bushes, crashing into her. The impact sent her flying backwards, her back touching a tree trunk. She groaned, her ears whipping backwards. There was commotion nearby, something that had to do with the bones. She shook the look from her maw, smiling softly, “Great job. Loved your intercepting move. Now, I have some things to check into. If you chose to follow me, stay behind me and keep your maw shut. If not, you’re free of your training today.” Her green eyes sparkled in the light sunlight entering.

Turning her body, Lyra made a deep rumble noise inside her throat. She had defiantly pulled a muscle in her back or something. This slowed her down a bit; her movements were much slower. If she made sudden movements, it would bring agonizing pain to her attention. Her ears swiveled forward, listening into the conversation ahead of her. There were a few familiar voices, but most she hadn’t really known yet.

Otava, being as dense as he was, was one of the last tigers to pick up on the presence of the Bone. When he did, a shiver ran down his spine, the quivering of his pelt obvious to anyone around the tribe. Otava's grey-green eyes widened and he raced toward Razi, his past anger sliding off his back. The Hunter had gone into the woods, obviously after the Bone. He was just with a Seer.

So Otava took after him, sending dirt flying under his paws, his armor rattling loudly on top of his skin. But Otava's lips were bared, his claws digging into the dirt with each step. This time, rather then fighting with blind rage, he had it harnessed and under control. A Bone was after his people, how could he simply stand by?

Otava was shocked when he saw Razi, and forced himself to skid to a stop without getting caught by the Bones. Otava looked over at Sierra and Azta and a low snarl entered his throat, "Why are you all just standing here?!" His question was just a whisper but full of ferocity and anger as he saw his tribe-mates standing like dead geese. The maltese looked up, placing his giant paw over the head of one of the tiger's heads without looking, "He needs help. And now." With those words, Otava leapt over the bushes and landed next to Errol, his face turned toward the Snow Leopard. Otava's tail flicked back and forth angrily and a loud roar split from his jaws. He ignored Errol for now, his fight was he's own for the time being, Otava had to focus on the other Bone.

Image
You're like a black cat with a black backpack full of fireworks,
And you're gonna burn the city down right now.

Fleck's gaze turned toward Phyre as she came into the picture, completely unaware of Errol's next move. This battle just simply wasn't a good move for her. As Errol's feet came down upon her spine, one of her ribs cracked before Fleck let her structure fall to the ground like a dead body. The bones tumbled down to earth, the one broken rib falling to Errol's paw in two pieces. Before anything could happen to Fleck though, she pulled her body together again, this time her aura thicker and darker blue then before. Her rage was truly getting her. Thick black orbs took the place were her eyes would've been in life and she screeched out at Errol, her ribs all perfectly aligned with one blank space.

She stood her ground away from Errol, her attention on Phyre, though her "eyes" remained on the tiger, "Are you trying to get me killed?! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you showed, but did you have to make such an entrance?!" Fleck's words sounded like more dying wails to the tigers, but were perfectly to Phyre and Fleck.

The little tapir continued to stand her ground, her two crack bones standing out like, well, obvious flaws. Fleck began to pant, an odd sound for a Bone, a sort of wheezing screech, when Otava jumped through the bushes. Fleck almost lost her body structure again as she realized how many tigers were around them. They were all over in the bushes. How could two Bones stand up to this? They needed more. And soon.

Azta
Image
You see me?
I'm content. Satisfied.
But the shadows...
The never leave me.

The other tigers appeared one by one to join in the fight and Azta sighed with relief. Without the others, they could very easily have lost. "Let's go. I'm after the feline." Azta crouched lower, closed her eyes for a second and then leaped through the brush, her eyes opening in mid-air. A shadow flickered on her left side, which she ignored. With two large bounds she was directly behind the leopard skeleton. Her lips curled way back and she let out a growl from deep within herself. Azta turned and crouched, ready to spring and leap at the leopard.

Her muscled rippled as she prepared to attack, although they weren't visible beneath her armour. She gathered herself, swing her tail and leaped. Her paws stretched forwards, heading directly towards the Bones's back.

{ Tegue }
I am a moth who just wants to share your light.
I'm just an insect trying to get out of the night.
I only stick with you because there are no others.

Image
Tegue's ears twitched in indignant irritation when he noticed the knowing smirk spreading across his mentor's face when the older cat realized that he was daunting the yearling. He didn't bother speaking up about it, for Tikaani didn't wait long to respond. "You're right; I wouldn't," the Seer's voice rumbled in a deep purr that was the texture of water. An unconcealed flicker of amusement gleamed in his piercing blue eyes as he went on. "But if I simply let go, you really would be flung." His grin suddenly seemed mischievously wicked to Tegue; it had the desired effect of shaking the apprentice Seer's false sense of paper-thin security, and he almost leapt off of the bent trunk at once. He secretly submitted to his superior although he did not display his surrender immediately, for the rather inexperienced tiger was earnest to hold his ground for a few seconds longer, at least. Tikaani wouldn't release him within the next few heartbeats.

"Watch yourself," came the larger feline's low voice again, his scolding eyes soundlessly berating the victim which they trapped. "With anyone other than me, that could have been the start of a battle you would have lost." The final word of the warning was almost hissed; his tone clearly stated that he would tolerate no more resistance. Tegue was loath to succumb to the whims of such an assertive cat, but he had grown accustomed to it during the three months that he had started attaining knowledge and following orders from the older, much more experienced tribal Seer. He was reluctant to be the cause of a dispute as well. He might as well simply give in now before Tikaani actually did follow through with his scantly sugar-coated threat.

Then something hauntingly unsettling occurred. The armored Seer spasmed suddenly, appearing as though he were receiving a jolt of electricity. His clutch on the tree's trunk loosened dangerously, causing Tegue's heart to skip several beats; it felt as if it were attempting to escape from his chest by pounding almost to the point of pain against his rip cage once it started again, its unsteady, racing pulse obtaining the frequency of a hummingbird's wings beating. His eyes bugged; he considered the fact that they were playing nasty tricks on him, for he could have sworn that the faintest traces of alarm and fear flitting across the pale orbs that were Tikaani's unblinking eyes. "Get off now," the metal-clad tiger ordered, his voice much more serious and firm this time. The humor had completely dissipated from his icy gaze, leaving only a pupil-less stare to blaze through Tegue's skull. "And stay in the camp."

Tegue was far too intimidated by this abrupt change in events to revolt although nary a muscle moved. His claws were the only part of him that made any motion; they sunk even deeper into the weathered wood in which they were already latched onto, their owner frozen in place by the now roaring flames of curiosity that threatened to consume him. Nothing frightened him more than watching Tikaani react to something like this, something that was both strange and attractive to the young cat. Tegue contemplated the possibility of a member of the Bones being nearby; he had not been taught how to sharpen the particular instincts that detected his tribe's sworn enemy if they were nearby, so that was most likely what was bothering Tikaani. Somewhat encouraging of the vague theory, something sparked within his mind as well although it was as subtle as the nearly invisible flecks of gold in his eyes. He had to move, but he could not. Instinct and weeks of being mentored by the white tiger shrieked at him to comply, and his motionless paws were burning to do so, but the mere notion of whatever caused that made the very same paws stick fast to the wooden structure; a jumbled mess of barely lucid thoughts vied for his attention, many of which beginning with "how", "what", "why", and the works. All of them ended as a question.

Tegue was internally battling with his inane dilemma when an unfamiliar set of jaws fastened around his scruff, which was still very existent as its owner was still growing into his stripes and the skin underneath them, and lifted his indecisive paws from their support before the other feline released him, dropping him to a lower, less precarious tree that also overlooked the clearing. In any other position, he would have growled at the newcomer regardless of the current situation -- he had not been treated like that since he was a kit! The unforeseen action had caught him off guard, and he had to react quickly in order to refrain from missing the much slimmer branch from a different tree than the previous one on which he perched. His almost dainty paws came close to missing it, but he hooked a few claws from each set into it and regained his balance before his momentum overwhelmed the spindly branch. He was forced to coil the scrawny muscles in his hind legs and launch himself into space in order to avoid a less controlled tumble due to the sapling snapping under his weight. The golden tabby tiger cringed at first when the ground rushed up at him, but once he landed, all four of his paws met the ground simultaneously. His landing was jarring because his paw pads absorbed the painful brunt of his impact, but he shook it off and rolled expertly, allowing his momentum to abate and diminish entirely after a trio of complete revolutions. Tegue ended in a standstill crouch and turned his head to watch the pair of Seers exchange dialogue several yards above him. His triangular, thick-furred ears swiveled and strained for any snippet of the mysterious conversation that probably pursued his unwilling departure, but he could not make out a single syllable. Slightly exasperated, the apprentice carefully got back on his paws and cast a short-lived scowl up at the tree canopy fringing the clearing in which he now resided although the brief glare was without too much rancor.

I have no idea what I am talking about.
I am trapped in this body and can't get out.

[[Hm. . . This has a bit over one thousand words, but it is pure fluff. I believe that I have the opposite symptom of writer's block. . . When I am afflicted by it, I force myself to write unnecessarily long, boring posts if I do so at all. ;_; Sorry it took me so long to get this out, also.

Errol.

Errol was

considerably surprised that his most recent assault had made contact with his target at all, let alone dealt any damage at all upon his opponent. Especially since a rather loud crack! resounded through the meager space between them as a result of his blow. He reminded himself that there was no time to be surprised. First he had lost his temper and let it control him; he did not wish to risk another strike. At least he wouldn't have to compensate for failure. . . A faint, short-lived flare of victory coursed through the tiger for just a moment; it ended, as well as his heart for a few beats, when another skeleton's entrance was revealed by the telltale sounds it made of bones scraping against each other in the most unpleasant way reached Errol's quivering ears. He barely noticed the much smaller Bone collapsed to pieces upon the ground, and the armored hunter only spared it a brief glance when it rehabilitated itself and made itself whole once again, the blue mist weaving through the off-white anatomy as it reconstructed; he noted that it was moving more furiously now and was deepening into a darker shade of blue. He did so just barely, however, for his gaze was fixated upon the much more formidable opponent entered the break in the dense foliage. It was the remains of what appeared to be a large feline, not quite as large as a tiger, but close enough to make the fur along the back of Errol's neck lift and prickle as though an entire colony of insects were swarming all over that small space. His eyes were immediately drawn to the predator's wickedly long claws as well as its permanently exposed teeth, particularly the canines. He blinked hard and averted his eyes for a moment to focus on the skeleton tapir. While he was affirming that the smaller Bone was not taking advantage of his momentary surprise, his eardrums were nearly split in half because of the relatively quiet but guttural roar that was more like a snarl, except far more intimidating.

Errol's golden gaze flickered by default to the new threat and wondered fearfully how he would manage to fend off his foes when the odds were now twice as bad on his part. Then he remembered to swallow his fear -- just as he had done in order to survive the jungle for his short lifetime -- but choked on it when the sight of the new Bone's black hole of a maw reminded him that the odds were not in his favor that day. His eyes watered slightly, but the male tiger took a safe three steps away from the creature that was originally his quarry, fell into a defensive crouching position just before a thicket of ferns that would enable him a quick escape if his cowardice overcame him, and bared his teeth to emit a threatening snarl of his own before the hunter analyzed his surroundings once again, begging instinct to solely take over his actions. He just hoped that his growl wasn't as pathetic as he felt inside.

Falling asleep in the middle of the battle would not be a problem anymore; Errol was practically buzzing along with the adrenaline rush that now coursed through his veins more than blood was. He could almost hear the very air humming with his now-alert hearing. Fear was less of an issue as well; he found it easier to concentrate on courage with his liquid lightning zipping through his bloodstream, but he was forced to keep an iron jaw on his head to make sure that it did not soar into the clouds. One bad decision would be all it would take to end Errol's life.

He was bracing himself for the first move, watching the Bones' every move as they wailed and growled back and forth to each other, commuting in the eerie language of the dead. They didn't make a single movement towards him. It seemed as though only seconds later of silence injected with hyperactive tension until other tigers were accompanying Errol. Razi, Atza, Otava. . . He was soon too grateful for any help at all to keep track of his cronies as they gradually filtered into the ever-so-conveniently placed clearing. His confidence received a double dose of alleviation, and the hunter suddenly felt much more willing to partake in a deadly battle with the two Bones. He could hardly feel the sting of his wound before, scarcely noticed the scarlet liquid gushing from the deep gash. Movement at the corner of his eye compelled him to look at its source, and Errol shared a look with his fellow hunter Razi. He interpreted it as something along the lines of "Are you okay?" The injured tiger was almost flattered by the notion that another tiger was concerned about his well being; he responded with a barely perceptible nod, returning his eyes to the pair of Bones mistrustfully. They did not have the advantage at that moment, but how long would it take for reinforcements to aid the already dangerous skeletons?

Niles

-_-_-_-_-

The male Tasmainian Devil waddled through the forest undergrowth. His teeth barred whenever a plant managed to smack him in his eyes. His stocky legs picked up the pace so that now the ferns were only a blur. He glowed a medium red, the sign of irritation. By looking at the creature, one couldn't exactly tell what he was in his past life. All that the creature looked like was a short, stocky animal with canies that implied that it was a meat eater.

Niles' head whipped back and forth as a rustle was echoed his way. His boney jaws parted as he veered to the left and pushed his way through the ferns and plants, the medium red aura that had surrounded the creature shifted to a light blue for curiousity. His fleshless feet pounded against the soft dirt beneath him as he manuvered his way towards the increasing sound. Voices filled his ears- where ever they were- which he identified as fellow Bones. As his oval head bursted through the last clump of plants, the creature let out a crackling sound- which to him would have been a snarl if he was fully fuctional. His jaws opened and snapped shut as bone met bone. His blank eye sockets flashed towards each of his enemies; the tigers. He may not like the other bones, but it was the Bones over the tigers any day.

The area around Niles had once been the light blue was now it's usual deep red. Frustrated as hell that this furred creatures were simply knocking around the Bones out in the open. Even though it was nature, but it was cowardly to go after the herbivore like hwo they were now. Niles wasn't stupid, he knew about the other Bones lurking in the shadows, stalkign the big cats. He threw himself towards the Tapir's side, his bone jaws opened as his eye sockets were trained in front of him on the striped cats in front of him.
