The beeping of the alarm wakes me up. The same beeping I hear every single morning for the past few years. I go on my usual routine. I wake up, take a quick shower, pick my outfit for the day and, obviously, do my makeup. I grab my coat as I head out of the door and headed to Thornberry High. As everyone knows, I'm the 'mean queen' in school. After a while, it turned into a compliment to me. It's fun to just go up to someone in school and you know, tease them a bit, though I tend to go overboard. But, who cares, right? I get my spotlight and that's all I want. Simple.

As I walk into school, I see her. Her. This girl who dared to just stroll right into my school and try to take my spotlight? Like I'm going to let that happen. I walked up to the lockers where she was. "Don't get too full of yourself." I said to her as I pushed the books on her hand to the floor. I scoffed at her. Who does she think she is? I scanned her with my eyes. She wasn't anything special. She was plain. Dull. How could someone like her dare to out-shine me?

august continued to read peacefully on the bench until a fight had started. he was about to get up and stop it but soon saw ollivar bell, his not so favourite person, stepping in to help the kid that was being beaten up. this surprised him but decided not to question him this time. august dropped his book and helped the injured boy up. he managed to get the boy away from the fight before returning in hope of stopping the fight. august tried to pull the two boys away from ollivar but to no avail. he knew it would be hard to stop them seeing as he was too short and weak to push through them properly.

august watched the fight stop when one of the two boys decided to stop his friend from fighting bell. once the two boys started to leave, he made sure to inform them to go to the school's nurse then report to the principal's office before he turned back and started walking to ollivar. when he heard a comment coming from bell, august frowned it feels like you are blaming me for your mistakes he muttered, crossing his arms anyways, you will have to report to the principal's office august added. but this time, i know your reason behind beating those guys up august said and sighed when he saw the stain on ollivar's shirt i'll try get you a mild punishment although i can't promise anything, those boys have also been severely injured so the principal will most likely take that into consideration he said and sighed once again i'll make sure to get you an ice pack for your eye august finally added.

spencer was asleep, peacefully tucked under his covers. however, spence was awoken soon enough by his dog, beatrice, a white american eskimo dog. he opened his eyes and started at the dog who seemed pleased with herself. spencer sighed and turned around, only to see that his alarm hadn't gone off at the right time which meant no extra time for him to finish reading frankenstein. he sighed softly and pushed himself out of bed and straight for a shower. spencer got himself dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a slightly oversized hba sweater. he managed to get his messy black hair to stay in place, got his shoes on and left the house quickly.

luckily for him, spencer didn't live far from his school and managed to get there in no time. once he had arrived to school, he began his search for his best friend (and crush), jessica, hoping to spend some time with her before class. turning on a corner, spence saw skylar, the school's drama queen, picking on jess. this made spencer, run over to the two and immediately started picking up jessica's stuff books what do you think you're doing? he asked, quite angered if someone did that to you, you'd get all pouty and say that it is unfair so what the heck makes you think you can do that to other people?

Jessie quietly pulls out her books out of her lockers by herself. Behind her people began to fill up the hallway as school is almost about to began. Just as she turns, the books in her hands were on the floor. She looks up at the person who cause them to fall. Skylar, why is not surprised. For some reason, the 'mean queen' was out for her. She sighs as she adjusts her shoulder bag. She didn't bother to say anything back, she was too tired to fight back. Luckily for her, her best friend, Spencer came to her rescue. She gets her book back from him and bites her lips as the angry boy spoke up for her. She puts her hands in front of the boy. She didn't know what exactly to say to Skylar, so she quickly mutters, "We'll be going now. Class is about start." She leads the boy away from the girl, staring at her with a strained expression. Once they were far enough, she let out a breathe. "Thank you, Spencer." she says with a soft smile, which was quickly replace by a worried expression. "But, I can take care of myself. You could of gotten in trouble if that got worse."

Ha. This is fun. She doesn't even dare to fight back to me. Who would? "Hey yo-". I get cut off by this nerdy guy. Great. Here comes the gang. Who even is he? I watched and rolled my eyes as I watch him pick up the books for her. My face turned sour when he looked at me and talked back. He's a nobody! How can someone like him, talk back to me? I was taken back. I didn't say anything. I couldn't anyways, both of them walked off before I could even respond. "He's going to pay for this," I muttered to myself. Embarrassing me in front of everybody like it's no big deal.

spencer's eyebrows furrowed, especially when he got pulled away from skylar but followed jess. he had to look down at jessica seeing as he was almost an entire foot taller than she was but simply smiled and wrapped an arm around her. you're welcome spence said and let go i know you can take care of yourself but she had no right to do that to you he added and sighed. spencer looked at the floor anyways what's the worst she can do? give me fashion advice till i die? he asked sometimes i really feel bad for her, she needs to bring others down just to make herself look better which is really sad and pathetic.
