Why do I Want Him?
As I scrolled through the kennels, my eyes landed upon this dude's bright coloring. I don't normally like green, but on this guy, it ROCKS! The green base truly makes the lovely orange, blue, and stone-colored accents pop from his pelt, and create the illusion that the wing marking is delicate and highly detailed. I love everything about his design - from the orange crown of his head to the blue-tipped long tail he's got, he's perfect in every way.

I felt just the slightest bit disappointed when I saw what had happened to the poor boy. First I saw he didn't have many breedings left, but that he was single - this confused me, until I looked at his form more closely. He had been with Aqua for several breedings - four, in fact, almost to the cap (currently set at five, if memory serves me correctly) - and with little to no notice, she disappeared out of his life. I dug around and asked other users what had happened to try to get some ideas for the form and figure out exactly why Aqua left him...but nothing really came together. I couldn't figure out why this awful thing had happened to poor old Morph. I contacted nearly everyone, and finally got ahold of viixen - Aqua's current owner. After a very long discussion between the two of us, we figured out that the two of them had split due to reasons regarding religion. Using this information, I then turned inward and reflected upon this fact myself, conjuring up a story for how this had all gone down. With this idea in mind, I set out to create his form, bent on doing my best to sweep this poor little one into my arms and get his life in a better state than when I found it.

What Will I do With Him?
Well, I've FINALLY completed my RPW Website, so he'll definitely get a spot on there. He'll be a beloved character of mine, as I will sketch and draw him whenever I can (I sketch once a week). If I can't draw him personally, I will probably order art of him every so often, when I can spare the CS pets as payment - I know several people in the RPW community who offer art of other's RPWs, and I'd definitely PM them about art of this lovely babe. I love writing, as well, so I'll be writing stories about him and his family and friends, which I hope to do frequently. If there are ever any RPW events, I could probably use him in them as well, as long as he fits into the storyline properly.

Joyful by nature, Morpheus can rarely be found frowning or in an upset mood. He's tried to deal with life by thinking of the silver linings to every cloud, instead of focusing on the dark storm on the horizon. He acknowledges that hard times will befall him at some point, but he won't let that fact get him down. He doesn't wallow in self-pity and rather would like to put his energy into trying to fix whatever problem be plaguing him at that point in time. When he's in an extremely sour mood, he'll tend to only see in negative shades and will put himself down a lot. He'll never shout or yell at others unless he's extremely provoked, in which case you wouldn't want to be around him. He tends to get violent when he gets infuriated. Thankfully these moments are few and far between, as Morph tends to be a rather nice guy.

Short Story:
Morpheus trotted down the street, feeling as if he were being watched by every RPW he passed. He muttered to himself, "It's not my fault...why are YOU staring at ME?" He shook his head, trying to snap himself out of it.
It didn't work.
He soon entered a clogged portion of the sidewalk, entering into a crowd. He knew it was because of the new stores coming in - the old ones had been renovated and were very clean and looked great, and the new stores were high-end and expensive, thus drawing out the more refined crowd of RPWs to the storefronts. Morph didn't care about the stores, though - he just wanted to get home.
The longer he walked the more paranoid he got, and soon he was breathing heavily and had started to sweat. He wasn't even running - on the contrary, he tried to keep his pace as normal as possible.
But, try as he might, nothing he did could calm his frayed nerves.
After a particularly judgemental look someone gave him, he snapped, yelling, "STOP STARING AT ME!" before bolting off, racing as fast as his legs would carry him.
He didn't care where he was going...he only wanted to be free.
The voice in his head snickered, jeering at him. Aw, c'mon. We both know you're stuck with me, and there's no getting rid of me, buddy.
Tears were streaming down his face as he panted for air. "Just leave me alone!"
You wanna know why you can't get rid of me?
Morpheus did his best to not retaliate, but whatever was inside his head could hear his thoughts, so not speaking didn't do him much good.
I'm YOU, silly. The you you never allow out, that is. I'm the twisted side of you - the part of you that only wants to see what you're capable of, now that SHE'S gone.
He sobbed. "SHE was the best thing that ever happened to me...and now, thanks to YOU, we're done."
The voice cackled. No, buddy. You've got it wrong. See, it's not MY fault she's gone...it's YOUR fault, just like it always has been.
Tears continued to flow freely down his wet cheeks as his paws pounded the pavement.

Three years prior...
Morpheus sat at the table, his gaze averted from his wife's. "Aqua...you're sure about this?"
"I'm asking YOU if YOU are sure, Morph. I'll agree to anything you think is best. I trust your judgement."
Morpheus swallowed in nervousness. "Well, the thing is...we've been together for years, but...you're an agnostic, or atheist, or...whatever you self-identify as...and I'm not. I just...I feel like you're pulling me away from God. I know I didn't start out as a Christian, but when I converted about two years ago, I felt so much happier. I wanted to share that joy with you, and when you didn't change, I was okay with that - maybe you just needed time, I rationalized." He took a deep breath before continuing. "But now, I feel as if you've become a wedge between God and myself. You try to get me to agree with you about things I don't feel morally right with agreeing to. You believe things I will never hold to be true again, and...I love you, with all of my heart, but if you want to end this, then I'll agree."
"If you love God, and you feel like that's where you want to go in life, then who am I to stand in your way?" she said with a tilt of her head and a smile. "Now, we don't have to get divorced to let that happen, you know. We could just...take a break for awhile, you know?"
"Yeah, I've all ready considered that, and...I think it would be best to just end it." He sighed, putting his head into his paws. "I love you so much...please don't just hate me, Aqua."
She laughed. "I'll never stop loving you. It's just that we've come to this point of no return, and we have to accept that fact and move onwards, in separate directions. You'll always be my loved one, and the amazing father of my children. For that, I am happy that I met you."
He smiled. "I love you."
"I'm just so pleased this happened after the children were grown," she murmured.
"I agree with that. If this would have come up earlier, well...I probably wouldn't have done anything and just suffered through it for them."
"And that's why you'll always be my favorite wolf, Morph."
"And, just so we are clear - you're forgiven for any bad thing you may have done. I don't want us to end on bad terms."
"We aren't. I love you as well, and I forgive you for all the bad you've done."
They hugged.
"We're still going to be friends though, right?"
"Of course, Morph."

Present day...
"No," Morpheus said aloud, crouched under an awning, taking shelter from the rain. "You're wrong. We ended our relationship on good terms, and are still great friends. I don't regret leaving her. I was holding her down from becoming everything she wanted to be, and she was pulling me away from God. We ended it for the betterment of both of us."
Oh please. You left because she pressured you to. Duh.
He frowned. "No...I left of my own accord."
The voice suddenly screamed.
Morpheus flinched. "What was THAT for? It was rather loud..."
That's what she sounds like, now. She cries every day because YOU LEFT HER.
Morpheus had had it. "That's not true!"
Oh, and how do you know that, loser?
"Shut up!"
Oh, come now - is that any way to talk to yourself?
He stood up, stared dead ahead at the wall in front of him, and bolted towards it. "Maybe hitting THIS will knock you out!" he yelled before careening into the solid bricks.

Morph awoke in the hospital a few hours later. "Ow," he murmured, rubbing his head. When he did so, his paw twinged with a bit of pain.
The doctor walked in. "Sir, we checked your blood and we know you were not drunk upon voluntarily launching yourself at that wall, but could you please explain why you did so?"
Morpheus blinked, not wanting to say anything.
The doctor's eyes narrowed. "Can you hear me? Are you deaf or hard-of-hearing, sir?"
Of course not, you idiot. What, you got your medical degree and you can't even tell if I can hear? Psh. What a stupid little wolf.
Morpheus sighed - the voice was back. "No, Doctor. I can hear fine."
"Then please answer my question. Why did you jump into that wall? Did you WANT to die? You're lucky you just sprained that paw and bruised your head - you could have broken several bones doing that."
Morpheus nodded, looking down.
"Why did you do it?"
Because I was annoying you, right, pookie?
Morpheus gritted his teeth. "I didn't want to die."
"Then why jump?"
"To stop it."
"Stop what, sir?"
The voice screamed at him. IF YOU TELL HIM, YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!
Morpheus took a shuddering breath. "To...to stop the-"
DON'T YOU DARE!
Morpheus choked.
The doctor frowned. "Sir?"
"To...to stop the...the voice..."
SHUT IT! SHUT IT YOU STUPID WOLF!
He sighed, squeezing his eyes shut. "I did it...I did it to stop..."
AQUA NEVER LOVED YOU!
"I did it to...to...to stop the voice in my..."
AND GOD DOESN'T LOVE YOU EITHER! HE COULD NEVER LOVE SUCH A WRETCHED CREATURE LIKE YOU!
Morpheus looked up with tears in his eyes. "I jumped into that wall so I could shut up the voice in my head."


Three months later, Morpheus was feeling much better. After seeing the proper specialists, he had been prescribed a strong medication to alleviate his constant headaches and shut up the voice in his head. He was back to his normal, happy self. He no longer wallowed in self-pity, but looked at the world with new eyes.

The journey was hard. Going to all those meetings, ignoring the voice shrieking in his skull to tell why he was there...and the slow process of recovery from his extreme case of depression was really difficult. He had figured out that he'd gotten depressed after being laid off from a job he'd had for twenty years, and being unable to find a new one. Once he had a job and had gotten some food and water into his system, he was able to sleep all right at night once again. He stayed in the rehab center for almost two months, and then was able to rent an apartment with the money he'd earned while staying there.

He still had daily struggles. Negative thoughts still plagued him, and without anyone to talk to about them, he found himself searching for a counselor...but he really didn't trust anyone enough to tell them about his feelings. He tried to go back to the clinic where he'd undergone rehab, but the sweet RPWs who worked there couldn't speak to him, because, by law, the clinic wouldn't allow patients who were not in rehab to speak to them. It was around this time he started looking for a church. He decided he'd go to one on a whim one Sunday, and that's when he met Baltic.
The young-looking pup took one look at him and trotted over, tail wagging happily. "So, what're you here for, mate?"
Morpheus was a little taken aback. He suddenly realized the pup wasn't as young as he'd thought, and was probably half his age. "Um...I just need a friend, honestly...someone who will listen to my story, and give some advice."
"My sister's real good at giving advice. You wanna meet her?"
"Uh...I suppose so...maybe?"
"Iwa! Get yer keister over here! You got a new buddy waitin' fer ya!"
An RPW as blue as the ocean trotted over, a smile on her face. "Hello. My brother told me you wanted to see me, sir?"
He cringed at the formality. "Call me Morph, please."
Baltic smirked. "Like...you can change into other critters?"
The blue RPW smacked her brother. "Be nice, Baltic!" She turned and smiled at Morpheus. "Morph, what would you need help with?"
"Your brother - Baltic, was it? - said that you were good at giving advice..."
"Sure. I'm Iwalani. What's your name? I know you said to call you 'Morph,' but...do you have a full name?"
"Morpheus."
"Nice to meet you. What's on your mind, Morph?"
Morpheus told them of his plights with the voice in his head, and of his past and his family, whom he'd not seen in at least six months. He ended his side of the story by asking, "I feel rather lonely. I have an okay job now, and I rent an apartment, but apartment life just isn't for me. I feel so...isolated. I want to be around others. I want friends again. Any tips?"
Iwalani nodded her head. "Sure. You've all ready made two, so why not make one more? I may also be able to get you a job, if you're willing to leave your apartment for good and never come back."
Morpheus frowned. "Would I still be able to see my family from time to time?"
"Yes, that I can guarantee you." Iwalani smiled.
"Okay, then. Introduce me to your other friend."
Iwalani looked at Baltic, and both of them trotted off to find the other RPW.
When they returned, an older RPW was in-tow. He looked stern, yet had just the slightest kindness in his eyes. His left ear was pierced, and his gaze swept the room before landing on Morph. "Are you this 'Morpheus' my children have been telling me about?"
Morpheus blinked in shock. "Oh, you're their father?" He looked at Iwalani. "I see the resemblance." He looked back up at the wolf with a smile on his face. "Where's your mate?"
"I don't have one, and both of my children are adopted."
Morpheus was humiliated. "Oh, um...never mind, then. I suppose you look alike to them...heh."
His eyes narrowed and he sighed. "My daughter's judgement has never been wrong. I am trusting her to have made the right call in regards to you." He looked at Morpheus with judgement in his gaze.
Morpheus felt weaker than he ever had. He knew this wolf held authority and power over him, and he had to keep himself from backing away or cowering. He wasn't a chicken, by any means - but up against such a strong wolf, Morph knew there would be no fight for dominance.
"My name is Caspian. I am Captain of a ship docked in the waters just outside this sleepy little village. Would you like a job on-board?"
His mouth fell open. "I would love that! Thank you so much!"
Caspian smiled. "Your job is to be an Order Clerk and to find someone to be our new Frieght and Cargo Inspector. Do you accept?"
"Sure!" Morpheus was so happy he could have jumped up and down like a puppy. "Oh, I have a few questions though. What's the pay like, and how often do you dock?"
"Crewmembers get paid vacations once very three months. The pay is sometimes below average, but is usually average. We dock during vacation-time, and we will also dock to pursue business ventures throughout our travels."
"How often do you dock here?"
"In this town? Probably twice every year."
Morpheus nodded. "All right. How soon must I come onto the ship? I have to say goodbye to my family and pack my things."
"We are docked here for another three days. Show up before sunset on the third day, and you're as good as hired." He nodded.
"Thank you," Morpheus said with a smile. "Oh, and one more thing - I have to take medications to keep me...stable, I suppose you could say."
"How much do we need to pay you to get those medications?"
"Oh, just take it out of my salary."
"Fine by me," Caspian said with another nod.
"I may have to leave the ship every time we dock to restock on my pills. Is that okay?"
"Your medical needs are understood. I am perfectly willing to accommodate you, should you show yourself to be a hard-working member of the crew."
"Of course!"
"Then it's settled. Pack your bags and say your goodbyes. I will see you in three days' time."
"Thank you, sir."
"It's Captain, actually."

Morpheus quickly gave a notice to his job and apologized about leaving without giving them a larger time bracket to deal with. He packed his things up into three suitcases and rolled them after him after he told his landlord to put the apartment back up for renters to apply for. After vising all of his children and grandchildren and explaining to them the positive things happening in his life, Morph only had one other individual to visit and tell about this change of events. All of his children and grandchildren were happy for him - some of them even cried at the notion that they'd only get to see him a couple times a year - and agreed that they'd write him letters as long as he sent them an address they could mail them to.
Now, Morpheus stood outside the house belonging to the last individual that he'd have to talk to. He took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.
Aqua opened the door. "Morph! It's so good to see you again, honey!" Realizing her blunder, she reworded it instantly. "It's great to see you again, Morph."
He smiled and hugged her. "I forgot how beautiful you were. You're just as stunning as ever, though!" Checking himself, he stuttered out a more appropriate response. "Um, it's great to see you too! Your hair looks great. I, uh, I love the streaks."
"Oh, uh, thank you. So, what are you doing here, Morph?"
"I actually came to say goodbye. I've gotten a new job with Captain Caspian aboard his ship, the -"
"Oh, I'm so happy for you!" Aqua smiled. "You've finally gotten a job that you love. That's so great, Morph! I assume you'll be on the sea for awhile, which is why you're here saying goodbye, right?" She smirked and punched him in the shoulder. "Congrats! When will you be docking back here again?"
"Probably in December."
Her eyes looked shocked. "So long...?"
"Yeah, we only dock twice in this town per year. He's docked now, and it's April. He'll probably come back here for Christmas."
"Can I write you?"
"Sure! I'll write you first, so you'll have an address to mail the letter to, okay? And don't mail me several things at once - some stuff might get there before others, and you'll just waste postage. We move around frequently on the ship, so my mailing address will continue to change throughout the year."
She nodded. "I'll miss you, Morph."
"I'll miss you too."
She awkwardly hugged him.
"I'll always love you," he whispered in her ear.
"And I'll always love you," she whispered back.


Morpheus was happy once again. He picked up his medication at the hospital - they had a pharmacy a few doors down - and though the doctors did tell him he'd be on the meds for the rest of his life, he was still joyful. He was still here, and hadn't seriously injured himself at the prompting of that annoying voice. He had beaten that into the dust long ago, and he would never be hurt by that again. He knew that he could overcome anything that came his way.


With a spring in his step and a smile on his face, Morpheus grabbed his clipboard and trotted down the deck. He was ready to get to work.

Short personality// She's friendly, gentle, patient, and loves to be around others. She's very polite and almost motherly in her personality. She can be very playful and funny and she loves to make cheesy puns. What many don't realize is her friendly and gentle personality is just a mask of who she really is. She's really untrusting, cautious, and unconfident. She does hold honesty as extremely important and tries to never tell a lie. Other than that, she's quiet yet fiercly protective of those she cares about. She's determined and stubborn. She doesn't care much about what others say. Why I want them// She's absolutely gorgeous! I love her design and her color scheme. Her colors are actually some of my favorites. I also feel like she can really relate to me. She reminds me so much of almost an old timey kinda steampunkish look and that just makes me so happy!

What will you do with them?// I'll do artwork (Mainly traditional but also digital and pixel), order artwork, do small stories with her and maybe some poems. She'll be added to my character page where I keep personalities and adoptables, characters, etc. She will definetly become my favorite and main RPW (I don't have any right now but I've filled out a few aplications previously). I know for sure that, with permission, she will get a spot in the book I'm writing. (It's an original fantasy novel called Divided We Fall. I hope to turn it into a trilogy once the first book is done. I will also probably enter her into rps when I get a little more free time.

just cause i noticed some people trying out for some of the wolves I put up for adoption, i figured i'd mention some small details i'd prefer you kept for any and all wolves i've put up -

carrington -

- carrington MUST REMAIN TRANS. i listed this within their original adoption criteria and i'll say it again - they must stay trans. i don't care if you make them a transboy, a transgirl, nonbinary, agender, genderfluid, whatever; all i care about is that they stay non cisgender. if you're not prepared to keep them trans then i'd prefer if you didn't try out for them.
- carrington is poc in their human form - more specifically, latinx, and even more specifically, puerto rican. i'd really like for their human form to remain latinx - even better if you keep them puerto rican, although it's your choice. however i do see a disturbing lack of poc within the rpw community, so it is rather important to me that they stay as a poc <3
- carrington's relationship towards castiel should always stay platonic no matter what, as otherwise would make me reeally uncomfortable, thanks!!

sardonyx

- sardonyx literally has it within their adoption criteria that i'd like them to remain gender-neutral or trans to some length. it doesn't bother me too badly if you decide their character fits better as someone cis or whatever excuse, then i don't reeeally mind.
- sardonyx is black in her human form, please don't change this (for the same reasons that i listed for carrington)!!

oakley

- oakley's gender is completely up to personal choice, however i'd really like for them to remain, you guessed it, gender neutral or trans. of course, with oakley i don't really mind as they're pretty much a blank slate, however i'd still really love for them to remain non cisgender if possible.
- oakley is, although not listed on their reference, intersex. you can read more on being intersex here; i didn't add it into their adoption criteria but this means that they are technically infertile and therefore cannot have kits/pups/children biologically. this isn't really optional as it's something i'd like to say permanently.
- their family is really huge and of course i'd love for them to be included in any forms for oakley. their adopted mother is belinda - belinda is a therapist who works mostly with veterans and victims of domestic abuse and child abuse. she's black, has obsessive-compulsive disorder, and is bisexual. their adopted father is lycaon, who is a veteran working at a VA alongside his wife. he's half Filipino, half white, has ptsd and everything awful alongside it, and is pansexual. he's had 2 tours to afghanistan (both when oakley was younger). oakley is the oldest of all of their children, follwed by bronx (whos a bi birom tattoo artist w bpd and paranoia), maddox (who i know nothing abt but hes owned by rockpelt), arma (whos an intersex nb lesbian w anxiety whos dating cascadia), pete (whos a pan birom guitarist w bpd whos dating ruby), josh (whos an autochorissexual birom transboy w adhd and dpd and is owned by j.d.), cosmia (who is owned by space kid), gee (whos a gay nb boy w paranoia and selective mutism) and jackson (whos an aro lesbian w bpd). if anyone needs more info abt the family feel free to pm me!
- whoever wins oakley should be prepared to roleplay or at least converse with myself about stuff within the family (since i own most of them ) :^)

Hey - just adding to this. I will more than likely drop out for Oakley this round, as I managed to get some nursery slots and have some adorable pups to spoil with art and such, so...probably won't continue, hence why I'm giving information to whomever wants to try out for Oakley instead. I now own Bronx, and he is Aliquaromantic Aegosexual, and is mated to Ballari. A rock climber and electric guitarist, Bronx likes to live on the wild side. He and his mate have recently had their first - and probably only - litter of four pups, so he's a new dad on top of everything else. He'll be a stay-at-home dad due to Ballari's line of work (she's an assassin, and can't just quit her job). If anyone wants more information about Bronx, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM!
