Susan nervously held her bow and arrows up.

Bally squeaked and rammed against his cage with a lot of force. It swung once then dropped to the ground with a quiet thump. The door tilted open and Bally ran out to Alex. Alex looked up and muttered feebly, "Go.. Find.. Caspian.." Alex knew that might be impossible for his little pet but he held his hopes. Bally squeaked and scampered off, avoiding everything by jumping out the window and landing in some bushes below.

Caspian eyed the bushes as it rustled more, then suddenly a black shape jumped at him, squeaking excitedly. "Aaaghh!" He reached for his dagger then stopped and laughed, "Bally!?" The little squirrel squeaked excitedly again and pointed his tail to the window he'd jumped out of.

Bally twirled his tail and scampered in a circle. He sat on his haunches, went chuck! then smiled. Caspian laughed, relieved, "That's definitely Bally!

Susan covered her mouth and giggled.

Caspian sat cross-legged and Bally sat on his leg, looking at Susan. "Bally, Susan. Susan, Bally. Bally is my best friend's squirrel... When I ran away the time I blew your horn, I guess Alex, my friend, went looking for me... But he never found me and I never found him... I guess now we know he was captured by this new evil.." Caspian's eyes grew distant.

Susan smiled at Bally then it turned into a frown, not knowing what to say about Alex.
