The smell of baked bread wafted through the air. Sakuraki's eyes snapped open. Sea green curtains danced in the wind. Wait a minute... This isn't my palace... Oh! I just moved here, to be nearer to the school I go to! And the smell of baked bread is... The bakery shop next door! She turned her head towards the bedside table. The clock reads 7:30.
"I'm going to be late!" Sakuraki cried to no one in particular. She scrambled out of her new bed, stumbled into the bathroom. Her pet bunny Peppermint nuzzled her pajama-clad legs as she quickly brushed her teeth. She hurriedly dressed into her uniform, threw on her mint green bag and raced out the front door. Then, she took a turn into the bakery shop and dashed in.
The old lady, who was the shop owner, smiled and remarked, "Our first costumer! And our new neighbour too! You must be having a busy day!", as she grabbed a ham and cheese sandwich and payed the right amount of money.

5 minutes later

Sakuraki halted at a navy blue vending machine on the side of the road. She hesitated, then looked at her watch. "There's still time." She mumbled to herself and she fumbled for her purse. As she inserted a few golden coins into the machine, she heard the satisfying clinking sound made by her coins. She pressed the glowing blood red button for Chocolate Milk, bent her pale knees and reached for the drink.

Another 5 minutes later

Sakuraki stood in front of the classroom door as she held her half-drank Chocolate Milk, telling herself to breathe normally (since she ran as fast as she can to school, with, cough, with a few detours. She also told herself to smile and be cheerful as it the first day of the school year.
She slid open the door, and scanned the classroom with her emerald green eyes. Eli! He's in my class this year! Why didn't he tell me? He is the green gang man after all. She smiled shyly and thought to herself: Act natural act natural act natural act naturallllllll . . . She weaved through the wooden desks and tried to casually sit at the desk next to Eli.
"Hey." Eli turned his pine green eyes at her, and raised his hand slightly.
She averted his eyes and stammered, "Hello." as she placed her bag onto the sharp, grey hook stuck on the side of her table. She thought, Act cool! He's your gang man. She sipped a bit of her Chocolate Milk.
Eli eyed the Chocolate Milk and said, "It looks like it tastes nice. May I try it?"
Sakuraki stuttered, "But I d-drank it!"
Eli produced a lime coloured cup from his school bag.
Sakuraki frowned a bit and added, "Why... why do you have a cup?"
Eli grinned. "I am a green gang man after all."

"Oh!" Sakuraki felt several eyes stinging onto her, staring intensely. This is so embarrassing! Her face blushed rose pink.
"I'm... sorry. I didn't notice you coming into the classroom." She fidgeted, looking down at her hands. She sneaked a glance at Eli, who was, suddenly looking at the blackboard again, as if nothing even happened.
"I'll let this one slide." He said, picking up a piece of chalk.
Everyone turned back to the teacher. "My name is ___(Jauke, decide the name)__ Sensei." Writing his name in blocky letters, ______ Sensei turned his head back to see if anyone wasn't listening.
"Today we will be learning..."
Every voice or sound in the classroom turned hazy, as if Sakuraki was underwater. This.. She squinted at the olive green blackboard. I know all of these equations already...
Don't fall asleep! A voice inside her head snapped.
Sakuraki's heavy eyelids kept threatening to drop down.
She reached inside her bag. The forest green gem keychain that dangled from the zip outside tinkled faintly as she pulled a bottle full of Green Tea. She gulped one forth of it down in 10 seconds. All at once, Sakuraki wasn't sleepy anymore. She swiped her seafoam green hair out of her eyes. The curled bottom part of her hair bobbed up and down, as if it suddenly felt energetic.
A smile appeared on her face as she turned towards the blackboard. I'll do my best in learning!
