I would definitely say the first. It's worth more, and store pets only increase in value as the years go by. The 2009 rare alone is overpaying.

I need so much help DX I've tried this two ways: converting pet value and converting C$ value, and I'm really not sure where to go with this.

If I remember right the store pet is worth a 2010 rare which would be 4 2012 rares roughly (yes, yes, "rarity math" everyone hates me now,) and by my own personal values all the UC pets add up to about 3, including the 2 there making 5, or about 10 C$ value over, but when I converted directly to C$ they're offering about 35 and the pets on my side went to about 59 and now I'm very confuuuuused. >.<

I really haven't seen a smiley traded in quite some time - that being said I don't know much about their demand. The demand did drop quite a bit when the feature that lets us move items behind pets and add backgrounds was added - but I do think they still tend to go for a little bit of overpay just because they aren't terribly common. It doesn't look like a bad offer to me - but I don't really know if it's a high or low end offer for the smiley with what little I've seen of them lately. :)
