"It was in the crate with the spare thermoelectric cooling unit," Wesley said, pausing to swear as a small explosion sounded from within the ship's wall. A few more seconds passed, and the engineer emerged, soot covering her face. "That's where I hid my sandwitch. And besides, a little mold never hurt anyone, especially when that someone is going to be pulling all-nighters trying to put this rust-bucket back together." Climbing down into the engine compartment and retrieving her plasma cutter from Minerva, the engineer moved back to the acess panel and sealed it back up. "I routed everything I could into the exterior shields and structural integrity fields," she said, "that should get us through the atmosphere. Life support will be a little sparse for a while, though, so try not to breathe too heavily." An acrid smell reached her nostrils, and Wesley eruped into a fit of coughing, before saying "and somebody clean whatever that is up! Ventilation's shot to hell as it is, we don't need that mucking things up too!"

Rikimaru put their sleeve up to their face at Nicholas's advice. "It's disgusting, pitch it! Are you seriously going to eat a moldy sandwich?" They sighed in exasperation before heading to the ventilation shaft and checking it out. A small fire had erupted in the vents. "We got a fire. Panacea, cleaning's on you!" they called over the comm.
They ducked back down into engineering and snagged the fire extinguisher from the wall. Blasting the fire with it, they coughed with the tainted air.

Reinen had managed to make his way through the thickening smoke to Taurus section. He could hear voices within. Good, some of the crew were still alive and well enough to argue. He cracked open the hatch. His head spun. I might be concussed, He thought to himself. He could see a few figures further into the section. He swore they were arguing over a sandwich. Maybe it was the concussion. The tall, darkly garbed figure was Rikimaru, for sure. He approached them on unsteady feet. "Do you have any injured in here?" He asked

"Unless you count my sanity..." they muttered under their breath "No. How are you, you don't look so well." They began to escort Reinen out of the room and out of the smoke. They put a hand on his shoulder and lead him out, stepping past Montague who had been sitting obediently outside the door. They called back over their shoulder at Wesley and Nicholas. "Either eat the sandwich or get rid of it."

"Of course! Why waste a perfectly good..." his comment was cut off as the doc stumbles in. "Sandwich." Nick finishes before giving the medic a good look over. He crinkles his brows. "Sorry to put a damper on things, but you're the only one in here who seems injured. Maybe you should sit down for a minute doc mcmuffins you ain't lookin too good."

Noticing the coughing of his crew mates he shook his head. "See, and people made fun of me for carrying around my mask." He said before shaking his head. "I should have some spares in my room but I don't think it'd be smart for the engineer to leave the room when the ships having system failure." He looks around for any volunteers. "Anyone willing? Yes?No?" He sighs, "I mean, if I really must.."

Artemis

By the time the chemist reached her workspace, it was clear that things were Not Okay, both for her and for everyone else. First of all, something had exploded and covered the area in glass shards and volatile materials... and second of all, she was pretty sure that the "something" belonged to her. Muttering apologies, she tried to go about helping in the cleanup as discreetly as possible, avoiding the android already at work.
Great, Artemis. Why don't you just blow up the airlock while you're at it, send yourself into space like some sort of messed up kamikaze mission. Tell everyone you work for the Nazis, that'll do it. Artemis shook her head and emptied a handful of chemical-coated shards into a waste receptacle, mulling over her excuses. At least nobody was hurt. That's good. Maybe they'll even wait until we return to Earth to fire me.
August

August placed the last of the plants back in its spot, considerably calmer now that he'd had time to think things over. He took off his dirt-covered lab coat and spoke into his transmission microphone, picking up the pieces of his chess game as he did so. (And he'd been so close to winning, too! Or was it losing? Nevermind. The fact that he'd been playing by himself was lame enough as it was.)
"This is August, reporting from Gemini. This area seems to be safe; is there anywhere I could help out?"

"On it!" Minerva said, emerging from the engine compartment and zipping off down the hall. "And neither of you eat that thing before you can sanitize it, Medbay's probably trashed enough without the two of you being sick all over it."

"Scrap bucket," Wesley said darkly as her creation swung around the corner, which was followed by a swift cry of "I heard that!"
Picking up the rancid sandwitch, mold and all, the engineer took a quick, angry bite of it, barely tasting it before swallowing. At this point, it was fuel, not food. Also an act of rebellion. She didn't need people telling her what to eat or not eat. The ship rumbled again as The Owl reappeared, mask in hand, which Wesley proceeded to pull over her face, grateful for the cessation of contaminated air. "Pressure's building in the plasma transfer network," she said, "Find a way to reroute it, last thing we need are EP leaks all over the ship. I'm gonna keep working on stabilizing us, I think I can get a bit more efficiency out of the shields, should keep us together a bit longer."

Rikimaru checked Reinen over, eventually coming to notice his hand. They held his hand up to show it to him. "You hurt yourself, huh?" They looked up at him as they spoke and paused. They noticed a certain glaze in the medic's eyes and blinked. "Are you certain you're alright? Have you hit your head or inhale a lot of smoke?"
Montague whined and lowered his ears, scared by the noises the ship and people were making. He sat next to Rikimaru and Reinen as his master watched the medic.

Reinen shook his head slowly, the motion making his vision swim. He pushed his glasses up his nose shakily. "Yeah, I think... My head and the smoke..." He decided it would be best for him to sit down, but his knees gave out half way down, and he ended up dropping akwardly to the floor. It was worse than he thought. He held the emergency kit out to Rikimaru. "Would you mind.... please, the scanner. Make sure there's no.... inter-inter-intracranial.... no brain bleeds."
At least he was sure the argument about the sandwich wasn't his imagination.

Riki nodded and unlatched the kit. Withdrawing the correct tools, they placed the scanner against his head and listened to its beeping. "It looks like you got something in the left hemisphere, closer to the frontal lobe if I'm honest. Come on, lie down here." They carefully put the scanner away but did not shut the kit. They next grabbed ace bandaging and alcohol swabs.
They took his hand gently and dabbed at the blood with a swab, pausing whenever the medic hissed in pain. After the wound was sufficiently cleaned -or rather, the swabs all bloodied beyond usefulness- Rikimaru wrapped his hand in ace bandaging as carefully as they could.
"What do I do for a concussion? You need to lie down, yes?"
