"We're off course. Mr. Frost is checking out the engine room and I have Enyo taking care of the chem lab. You alright?" Rikimaru eyed him shrewdly. He was much older; if he was hurt it would take longer for him to recover. They had moved to help him to his feet but he had gotten up too quickly. They looked over at the comm button and held it down again. "Nicholas, status."

Nick nodded at her commands, grabbing a pair of goggles and snapping them into place. "You got it." He said before grabbing his toolbox. Opening the sublime engine file he begins rapidly typing before a large error box pops up on the screen. He curses before slipping himself inbetween the machinery with blow torch in one hand, screwdriver in the other. The sounds of screws falling are heard along with the roar of his blow torch. "Hell." He grumbled before shimming out of the cranny he was in and sifts through his toolbox. "Where is it..." he scrunches up his nose before raising his head. "She needs a replacement, the crash caused her to overheat and destroy one of her doo dads. You wouldn't happen to have that Uh..." he snaps his fingers before lifting it from the box. "Ah, never mind then." Turning around he squeezes through into his previous spot and clicks a few switches before a rough hum begins to sound. He raises the communicator at the sound of his name. "I've fixed the sub engine but it's taken a real beating. It won't last forever but it's the best I can do here, some of this garbage will take days to repair, weeks even." He said, placing his goggles on his head.

Theo nodded, checking the various readouts within the command center. Too many systems were damaged. They would need to set down. Not only were they minutes away form being completely adrift, but ventilation, water, and other key systems were completely offline. He glanced over the navigation charts that Rikimaru had already pulled up. The kid was on it. The closest three planets were a no go. Two gas giants and a frozen hunk of rock with no atmosphere. The fourth was cold, but at least had manageable gravity. The fifth was too far off to be sure but initial scans indicated liquid water, moderate temperatures and a breathable atmosphere.
He laid a reassuring hand on Alyssa's shoulder. She seemed shaken, but determined. "You think you can you get us to that one?" He asked, pointing to the last planet.

Rikimaru put a hand to their face and sighed, exasperated. "Lovely..." they grumbled to themself before looking to Theo and Alyssa. The two could handle themselves here just fine. Snapping their fingers at their dog to follow, Rikimaru and their corgi Montague set out for engineering.
Leaving Montague in the doorway, they pulled their cap down closer to their eyes and stepped inside engineering. They walked briskly over to Nicholas and watched him work. "Anything I can do, Mr. Frost?"

Nicholas jumped slightly at the man's entrance, the blaring noises making him drift off for a moment. "What?" He asked in confusion, seeming a bit startled. After a moment the question registered in his mind. "Oh, well let's see.." he said before grabbing a wrench, twirling it calmly around his fingers as he thought. "Well let's see. If you could do me a favor and look through those junk boxes, see if you could find me a thermoelectric cooler in there that's still intact? The engine is overheating, real bad." He said before snapping his fingers and leaning over the table in the direction of Wesley. "Hey Wheeze!!! wouldn't happen to have any spare clamps would you?" He called over all the noise.

ƤanaceaxxxPanacea waits for a few moments, still, for instruction. They watch their hands, the thin synthetic skin dissolving a little around their edges, but when no direction comes they move to begin clean up. They quickly wash the acidic compound from their frame with a neutralizing agent and then move about securing and adjusting the lab. They are still shaken, worried, but they busy themselves with work and try to ignore the blaring sounds of chaos aboard the Zodiac.
xxxThey assess the damage to the lab as they work, take in the whole of the sector. The floor is covered in bits of glass from beakers and test tubes, a Class III organic hazard but of no concern to a synthetic body. A few compounds and solutions have been uprooted and spilled but none as dangerous as the compound that had consumed part of their skin. Class II at the worst. Most Class I hazards have been locked away in much safer boxes and so, as they clean up the hazards in order of importance, Panacea is pleased to find their second favorite lab more or less intact, at least structurally.
ΣnyoxxxEnyo counts to fifty as she waits for an order, shifting her weight from foot to foot anxiously. Her job description centers on taking orders from her commanding officers but she knows, she knows she should be moving. She needs to be moving. She gives the XO until fifty to respond to her statement and then huffs, clipping her helmet to the back of her armor. She doesn't waste any more time, tapping into the med bay's communications system.
xxx"Medical Officer Reinen? Are you in there? This is Security Chief Alkaev. I'm on my way into the bay." She strides forward, down the corridor to the doors of the bay.

Rikimaru nodded and knelt down to begin rummaging through the crates. Blowing the dust off the lid, they opened it and found a variety of, well, junk.
Spare nuts and bolts...Wrenches and tools... Was that a half-eaten hoagie? What was that even doing there? Where did they even get that? It was disgusting, mold had taken over half of it and, wait. Where were they? Right. Finally they found what they were looking for and withdrew, handing it over towards Nicholas.

"Sorry, Frosty," Minerva said, buzzing over to Nicholas, "I had to use the last of them to secure the plasma conduits. It wont' hold for long, but it's better than you all getting cooked alive. Here, let me see that, I can hook it up." Without so much as asking, the AI plucked the cooler out of Rikimaru's hands and disappeared inside the engine compartment, getting to work on intalling it.
"And don't touch my sandwitch!" Wesley called out to the second-in-command, her upper body buried in one of the ships shattered access panels, "I'm saving that!"

"It's disgusting! It's got mold all over it! Throw it away." Rikimaru made a mental note to throw the nasty food out the airlock later and closed the lid to the crate. They were thankful they had no sense of smell, otherwise they would have recoiled at the smell. However the fact that it was still considered adequate to eat by Wesley's standards concerned them.

Nicholas narrowed his eyes at the name, but let out an annoyed little sigh and let it slip, knowing that it wasn't the best time to be getting all riled up by a simple nickname. "Well I mean it's not like I was planning to do that but whatever, less work for me then." He said before noticing the sandwich his fellow engineer had hidden. "Your sandwich?" He questioned in surprise. "You sure you have the right sandwich? I could've sworn that one was mine.." he said as he typed rapidly onto the computer, errors popping up on the screen. "Hey we got some protocol 172 on here." He says as he squints at the screen. "Anyone remember which one that is??" He called, "Think it's something about dangerous chemicals..." he speaks into the communicator after further thought. "Hey, how's that cleaning up going guys? Ships picking up some dangerous stuff in the air. I have my mask on over here but poor wheezy and second cap over here aren't. A ships no good without people to fix it you know. Second cap, unless you're looking for a fight I advise you not touch my sandwich."
