Emily nodded in response to what the other had to say about the domestics, her small smirk returning. "If only they wore bells. It'd be hella harder for them to bring us in if we could hear them coming from a mile away. Or, some of us, at least." She glanced up at the girl's rather large felid ears, wondering what it was like to have such advanced hearing. Being part bird, she didn't really have any enhanced senses or anything like that; in fact, her vision was considerably worse than your average human, at least at night. Other than that, she really only had a pair of wings that barely flew, the dark crest of feathers atop her head that really didn't do much other than look pretty, and those pesky little feathers that popped up all over her upper body like out-of-control acne. Of course, she did have the ability to imitate noises pretty well, and that did come in useful occasionally. Most of the other effects the jay DNA had on her were next to useless, however.
As the cat girl continued going on about how she'd been brought here, Emily kind of started zoning out, but she snapped back into the conversation with a dry laugh as the other asked how to get home. "Sorry, kitty, but there's no way out of here. Chances are, you're never going to see anyone from the outside ever again." She glanced up at the quickly-darkening sky before continuing. "I'd love to explain more, but it's getting to be too dark to safely stay out and about. I know a place we can wait out the night, though. I'll tell you everything there. ...That is, if you're smart enough to say yes to a free offer of fire, shelter, and company." She quirked up an eyebrow after she had said this, waiting for the girl's response.
((Ah sorry Vesi, I just finished typing this up when I saw your post >.< Sydney, could you respond to them in your next post? We don't want to leave people out of course ^-^))
