Wings of Fire: The Darkest Hour (Not Accepting)

Starkeeper looked at Bayou for a moment before returning her gaze back to the sky and speaking. "No. They got what they wanted. They could've taken all of us, I'm sure." She decided to keep Snowstorm's secret, and do the same with the NightWings' - including herself.
Then, she heard mental shouts from inside the volcano. They were directed at her, and Starkeeper quickly figured out it was Snowstorm. If only the IceWing was a mindreader... But that wouldn't have been good in the long run. She'd have figured out how Starkeeper was with the Foreseer, somewhat, all along. I... What can I do?

Bayou gave her a curious glance, then turned back to the mountains. "I'm not making assumptions, but you say that as if it's not too big a deal." He scanned the ground as they reached the other side, and he pointed to a small spring near the volcano's base. "Down there." He slowly dived down, spreading his wings and balancing both himself and Rift as they touched down. He gently slid the SeaWing off his back, then looked up at the mountain. Bayou's eyes widened, and his talons twitched. "Oh. That's not good."
Towering above them was a black fortress, even larger than the older one, with twisting spires and huge walls that surrounded it. The structure seemed to glow with an eerie, unsettling light as the moonlight touched the black stone. It almost surrounded the entire volcano, and he could see that more was being built. Bayou gulped, wings flexing. "We should hurry. And I mean, we should hurry." He threw a glance at Starkeeper. "I thought you said they were based in the rainforest!"

"How do I seem like I'm saying it as if it's not a big deal?" Starkeeper asked as she lay Rift down as well.
She looked up at the towering fortress, multiple ways to get in entering her head without even thinking about it. "They were! This place is abandoned, or at least those rogue SkyWings live here." She looked at Bayou, thinking up something quick. "Didn't you know that? Well, sorry, you actually probably didn't." Starkeeper sighed. "It's a long-forgetten island, you know. The SkyWings are mostly descendants of SkyWings who moved here during Scarlet's rule, and stated even after. And a few more came eventually. Mostly because it's near the rainforest and the SkyWing kingdom. Maybe a few RainWings are here. Anyways! The NightWings built that lair before even Sunny, Glory, Clay, and those other prophecy dragonets of long ago."
NightWing mindreaders! Starkeeper called out loudly with her mind. Stay watching, and make sure you're not seen. We might need these dragons. More bargaining chips, but for Snowstorm the IceWing.

"Even so, we better hurry, if we don't want any others to find us." Bayou gently poured the water on Rift's wounds, washing out any small stones or dirt. What could they want with just Snowstorm? He couldn't help the trails of worried thoughts that circled in his mind. And he doubted that SkyWings would try to live here. Bayou dropped his bag on the ground, rummaging through it. "Did you bring anything to wrap the wounds with?"

(If you want, Pathfinder could capture Rift and bring him to the prison. Or Taleweaver can help Foreseer make Snowstorm use her powers for their plans.)

Taleweaver slunk down the corridor, snapping at any puny NightWings that got in her way. She was visiting the 'queen'. When the guards at her doorway halted her, she hissed at them and shoved back one so that his partner's snout glanced off his shield. She smirked. Pushing the door to enter the throne room, she flicked her black forked tongue in and out with a slightly mentally unstable air. "Foreseer," she greeted with an inclination of her head, sweeping her lanky tail over the polished floors. "I have assembled a plan."

Foreseer had returned to the throne room after torturing Snowstorm, sitting elegantly on her dais, and polishing the dark blue stained dagger. She turned her yellow gaze to Taleweaver as the other NightWing entered, but she didn't lift her head. "Oh?" she hissed silkily, turning the blade over in her talons, then set it on one of the armrests and lifted her head. "Do tell." The queen looked over the female once, eyes cold. Taleweaver was older, almost by twenty years, and about as disrespectful of Foreseer as Chaoscaller. She'd have to have a talk with her as well, most likely, but the queen had to deal with Snowstorm first.

"That IceWing animus," she hissed languorously, "She could help us with... our plans." The word 'our' tasted like bile on her tongue- she wanted nothing to do with the younger queen -but in order to earn the respect of her, she had to pretend as if she was actually in with their tribe's plans. "Either we torture her or invade her mind." Her actual intentions were completely different, but she couldn't have the queen thinking that.
