If I'm serious about adopting from the pound, I wait for ten minutes before it opens and snag a nice pet at the first or second refresh.

I've even found a few nice Nick's in the pound, too. Like a purple Nick dog.

For pound..I see it's open in like an hour and decide I'm going in. (xD) I amuse myself on CS and then ten minutes before the pound opens I start an Oekaki. I switch between pound page, clock on computer and Oekaki until it's one minute left when I refresh repeatedly at the pound page. When it opens I frantically search the page for pets, wait until I can refresh if there's none and there's usually a nice pet on the first refresh. I snag it and boom! Nice catch!
