Wings of Fire: The Darkest Hour (Not Accepting)

Taleweaver hissed after the slightly younger NightWing. As if he could tell her what to do.Huh. She scooped up the torches in her forearms, igniting them with a burst of flame from her maw. She contemplated it as it spluttered into life with a whoosh of blazing heat. I don't get enough respect around here.

Foreseer glared even harder at the NightWing, lifting her head to the full length of her neck. "Do not question my orders," she hissed silkily, her star-studded wings flaring out. "We do not want the dragonets to be suspicious of us here. Only take the IceWing, do you hear me? I will give the word. We need her the most." She tucked her wings back close to her sides, unblinking yellow eyes still glaring. She then waved a talon in the air. "And remember to tell Pathfinder, either mentally or in person, to bring me the SkyWing twins. Not the annoying older duo, but the newborns." And that goes for you too, Dreamjumper, she hissed in her head. Only engage on my word.

Snowstorm stood stock-still, leaning against the tall strip of ash-covered stone between the two entrances that made her back nearly black with soot. She twitched her ear as she heard the conversation the others were having, but still made no sound as she glanced around.

Torrent hissed, louder than ever, and slamming her back talons against the bars. "You moron NightWings will never be more than flea-infested squid-brains," she snarled, continuing to slam the bars. "I'd rather eat snails for the rest of my life than follow your asses."

[AGGUA!]

Chaoscaller-
Chaoscaller spit a small burst of flame at the queen, but it was rather pitiful and left no trace of being there as she swept out of the room. "You don't need to be such an ASS," she muttered to herself as she continued along the corridor.Hey! Pathfinder! You there? Queen's angry AGAIN, apparently I need to speak with you, she sent out.

Pathfinder gently placed the twins on his back, just behind his neck, and he raised his wings slightly so that it created a sort of safe 'wall'. He snorted as he heard Chaoscaller's mental message, and he hurried along into the corridors of the rebuilt fortress. Seems the queen is ALWAYS angry, he thought to no-one in particular. Chaos' mind was getting stronger as he walked along, and finally he found the odd-colored NightWing. "What's up?" he asked, flexing his wings.

[AGGUA!]

Chaoscaller-
If she was being completely and totally honest, she could NOT remember what the queen had told her to do. "The dragonets are HERE," Chaoscaller hissed. "On the island. I watched them bunk down in a cave not far from here. Apparently Foreseer wants that one... The icewing female." But really, shouldn't we be capturing ALL of them? They can't know about our plans! she thought, before realizing that her trail of thought had probably leaked into Pathfinder's mind.

Pathfinder slashed his talons across the wall, leaving long trails in the stone. "I know why, but I'm not sure if I should tell or not," he half-growled. "I think the queen's reasoning is that maybe, if we capture the IceWing first, the others will go nuts looking for her, and they'll scatter and be easier to catch one by one." He twitched his tail, glancing over his shoulder at his back to make sure the twins were still there. "And, the queen needs her because.. She's an animus, and she can help us find our.. you know," he said softly.

Starkeeper sent another glances at her friends. "I'm going to see if there's any prey on here. I don't think the meat Pharaoh is putting away will sustain us for too long." She flew out of the cave and towards the volcano.

Snowstorm, Dreamjumper thought, almost eerily, to Chaoscaller and Pathfinder and whoever might've been listening. Of course, he wasn't able to get the information from the IceWing's mind, but Starkeeper's. Her name's Snowstorm.

Chaoscaller-
Chaoscaller nodded, understanding reasoning. "I know, but still-" She froze when she heard another voice in her mind. She narrowed her good eye. "You heard that too, right?" she snapped. "Snowstorm?"

Pharaoh-
Pharaoh had managed to store the meat, but Starkeeper was right. It probably wouldn't last very long. "Good luck!" he called after her, heading over to the entrance and sitting down next to Snowstorm. He didn't say anything for a while, but then, "I think camp's about set up, if I'm being honest. Water might be a problem, since we can't exactly drink SALT water... But maybe we can find some volcanic springs."

Terra creeped to the shore and jumped back as the water stung her eyes. "That was a bad idea. Ouch."
