As soon as you enter the large, beautiful white room, soft music could be heard playing from the room nearby.
Image
The wondrous timing was astonishing that it distracted you from the tiny girl resting inside. As you gain back your focus, you noticed that she was now standing up, lifting herself easily off of her chair. You heard a few foot steps prior to her showing her face, nervously peeking out from behind a large bookcase. Before you could open your mouth, she began to speak.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Oh... Uhm, welcome..! I apologize for the mess. My caregiver hasn't come in yet to tidy up the place and I've been a bit busy with royal duties."

The bashful lady approached even closer, trying to now beckon you to fully enter the room.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Please don't be shy. This room is big enough for both of us. Besides, you won't be in any trouble being in here; my father welcomes guests of all sorts since he knows he won't allow me to exit the castle's walls."

She shrugged slightly as a quiet laugh escaped from her mouth. As you think of it now, the laugh sounded forced. As the fake laugh echoed in your head, mixed with her words, you begin to feel oddly sad for her. You look into her eyes for a split second, trying to see if you could get anything out of her. Maybe it was just your imagination, but there was a glimpse of sadness on her face.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Ah, where are my manners! My name is Krystal Aria Lovell, but you probably already knew that by now. Anyways, I must return to writing replies to the letters I've relieved before the day ends. Please feel free to stick around; I feel terrible not being able to interact with my guests as much as I wish to do so. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."

And just like that, she returned back to her chair behind the bookshelves. Before feeling too awkward, you quickly escort yourself to the couch in the middle and rest upon it. What would you do now, stranger? Will you keep to yourself and investigate with only your eyes, or will you approach Krystal to get answers straight from her?

You can freely choose whatever you wish to do here. You can go ahead and perform a specific action according to the list, or you can choose to simply scroll down. Whatever your choice is, I hope you have fun revealing Krystal's character!

The castle's interior was just as pleasant as the castle's exterior, and Krystal's room was no exception. The princess' room was large, much larger than you initially thought it was. The ceiling was high up above your head with the highest point in the middle of the room. From there, the ceiling cascaded downwards, but not by much. Even at the large door frame, the ceiling wasn't close to touching it. From the middle point of the ceiling, you noticed that there was a white glass chandelier hanging downwards, illuminating the whole room with its powerful glow.

You direct your gaze to the walls now; they are covered in a blue floral wallpaper. The walls themselves are also decorated with large white curtains. You don't understand why the walls would need such frivolous decor, but nonetheless, it is quite stunning... At least for a while. The room is indeed large in size and the windows are massive, but you get the feeling that you're trapped the longer you sit on the couch in the middle of the room. You peer downwards at the glass table in front of you, staring through it to see the soft floral rug beneath your feet.

After a while, you find yourself standing up. You head towards the left side of the room, walking the opposite direction of the bed. Your foot steps are fairly loud as you walk on the birch wood flooring. You hope that the sudden sounds didn't spook or annoy Krystal. You see a hand painted portrait of Krystal hanging on the wall in front of you. You stop in front of it to admire the craftsmanship, wondering how the artist was able to work on such a large canvas as that.

You turn to face the left wall, only to notice that there was a single door in front of you. Not wanting to invade too much privacy, you ignore it, only to assume that it was a walk in closet. You begin to walk back towards the couch.

Music Box

Krystal's Music Box
Image

Image
A silver colored, floral themed music box catches your your attention out of the corner of your eye. Sitting nicely on the glass table in front of you, you proceed to scoot closer towards it. You bend forward slightly, keeping your gaze upon the elegant, musical mechanism. When you push the top of the box, you hear a small click noise. When you remove your hand from the top of the box, it slowly springs open. Inside, you find smaller buttons, as well as an extended floral design that runs along the top part of the small chest.

Curiosity is tempting, but you're unsure if you want to proceed to press one of the buttons. Do you close the box or do you press one of the silver buttons available to you?

You closed the music box once you were done with it. You figured that whatever songs were on here, they certainly had importance to Krystal. You looked over to her, trying to catch a quick look at her face. Your efforts were fruitless, however. The book cases that surrounded her made her seem as if she was cut off from you.

If you clicked the buttons...
You began to ponder why the songs all sounded sad... You agreed that most music box music does come out a bit depressive and nostalgic, but listening to these songs made you feel more trapped inside the large room. You feel uneasy. It is as if the room is starting to come closing in on you. Of course, you pay no mind; it is just your imagination after all.

Krystal's Bed

Postby Yugi » Sun May 29, 2016 6:24 pm

Krystal's Bed
Image

You looked over your shoulder towards the princess styled bed sitting in the corner. The bed was large, just like this room, and complimented the area nicely. It was decorated with the same colors, patterns, and accents the rest of the furniture in the room had.

Placed on top of the bed were many pillows and stuffed dolls. Right now, they were all over the place; they were mixed in with the thick sheets and blankets. You look back towards the princess. With a nervous voice, you ask her if it would be alright to fix her bed for her.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Sure, if you really want to."

The princess answered back. She sounded as if she was still busy, but thankfully she didn't sound annoyed at all by your question.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"I apologize that your visit isn't all that interesting and that you have to go and make my bed to provide yourself with something to do... I promise, by the end of this day, I will make it up to you. Once I'm finished with my letters, I will answer any questions you have for me."

You thank the princess before standing up and walking towards the bed. The first thing that you do is move all of the stuffed dolls and pillows to the foot of the bed. You gently pick up the sheets one by one, starting from the bottom and working your way to the top. You drag the sheets back into their place, smoothing out any wrinkles that might have formed while doing so. Once you fixed all three sheets, you began to work on the several pillows that sat before you. Trying your best to make it look nice, you carefully place and stack the pillows on top of each other.
Image
However, once you grabbed the one purple colored pillow, you noticed that a letter dropped out of its case. Startled, you quickly squat down to hastily pick up the letter. Before you could place it fully back into the pillow's case, you accidentally read the words on the envelope. Nicely written inked words were largely displayed on the paper envelope; "To The Lovely Princess Lovell," the words read. Once you were able to put back the letter, you continued to place down the rest of the pillows.
Image
You returned back to your work. The final items that were left on the bed were the hand sewn stuffed plush toys; a majority of the plush toys were of European styled dragons, albeit a more cuddly form of them. You grouped the colorful stuffed dragons together and carefully placed them on top of the pillows. There were two other plush toys were of horses; one was white while the other horse plush was black. You added them to the mountain of pillows, placing them close together to a point where they were leaning on each other.

You then head back to the couch.

Letters

Krystal's Letters
Image

You decide to get up off of the couch to interact with Krystal. You hoped that your interference wouldn't cause her much distraction. You proceed to walk towards the youthful girl, stopping near the white bookcases that surrounded her. You softly knock on them to let her know that you're nearby, asking if it would be okay to come closer to talk to her. She nodded her head, not saying a single word as she continued to scribble down words hastily.

She didn't seem to mind that you stood close to the desk, close enough to read the letters sprawled out in front of her. As you casually scanned these letters, Krystal spoke up.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"These are the letters that I'm being force to reply to by my parents. They think that it's rude to not write a reply, even if it's just a rejection letter. I kind of wished that they would stop sending me so many. It seems to grow worse when I reply instead of just ignoring them outright. When I read these letters that ask for my hand in marriage, I can easily sense that they don't care about me or the people that I guard over. Royals should care about their people instead of worrying only about themselves and their status."

She looked sad. Really sad. She wasn't even trying to hide it now. You gestured towards a letter on a desk, asking if you could pick it up to read it. Krystal once again nodded her head to allow you to proceed. The letter read as follows;
Anonymous Lover wrote:Dear my lovely Krystal,

You are as beautiful as the night sky itself. Your glow is as wonderful as light reflecting golden coins.

Will you join my hand in marriage? Will you finally be mine? You keep on replying back to me. I still have hope.

Image
The words were cliche; there was obviously no effort put into that letter. The words focused mainly on the princess' looks. It contained nothing about her personally. You put down that letter and picked up a couple more, scanning through them. They were all simply written, filled with cliches, and based around her looks. She was being fed compliments left and right by admirers that probably couldn't care less about how Krystal truly felt.

You murmur an apology to the princess before returning to the couch to wait some more. Even though you didn't do anything wrong, you felt sorry for her. You wouldn't want to be placed in her position; you didn't want to be hounded down by greedy, false admirers every day and at every hour.

Closet

Postby Yugi » Mon May 30, 2016 3:55 pm

Krystal's Closet
Image

After waiting a few hours, you heard Krystal's chair be pushed backwards slowly. As you turned your head to face the sound, you see her stand up, organizing all of the letters she has opened and written. She places the stacks of envelopes and papers neatly down before approaching the middle of the room.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Please, let me show you something. You seem... different from most visitors. I can easily sense that you feel uneasy in this room; many of my visitors keep on going on and on about how they would love to have a room like mines. As soon as I tell them that it's not as nice as it appears to be, they always scold me, telling me that I am much too greedy for such a young princess. What they don't understand is that I'd rather have a smaller room. I would be more than happy to live in a house a peasant lives in instead of being stuck in this large castle for what seems to be all eternity.

I appreciate your patience and I feel that I can trust you with a little secret of mine. I hope that this will be somewhat exciting to you. I apologize if it's overly boring."

The young princess laughed softly. Sadness was still noticeable on her pale face, but it appeared as if talking to you has made her feel a little bit better. She reaches out her gloved hand towards you, urging you to grasp at it. You do. She pulls you up with absolute ease, surprising you once again. You follow in her footsteps as you both approach the door to the left.

As she opened the door, you were amazed at how spacious the room was. While it was definitely smaller than her bedroom, it was large enough to put a medium sized group inside. Covering the walls were different kinds of dresses, boxes, shoes, hats, and more. You noticed that all of the outfits had similar crystals decorating them; they were of a crescent shape, with a small tapering effect at the bottom. You looked at her current outfit, noticing that she had a belt on at her waist with the same symbol.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"That is the symbol for the royal family. Those who are of royal blood can wear these outfits with these symbols on it. Our guards wear something similar, but instead of the taper being at the bottom, it's at the top. Same with our citizens; their symbol is just a simple crescent shape.

I don't know exactly why my family has such a peculiar symbol, but my parents said it had something to do with finding this kingdom in a patch of moonlight. Apparently my ancestors thought this patch of land was blessed due to the way the moonlight focused on it and they wanted to create a family symbol that would celebrate the moon's likeness."

You watched as Krystal went through her closet, picking out one outfit from the ones hanging on the wall and multiple boxes from below. She brought them out towards the center of the closet, laying them down neatly on top of each other with the outfit sitting on top of the boxes. She then stood back up, gently patting down her dress.

Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"I suppose I'll start with the outfit I'm wearing right now. My parents encourage me to wear this dress often, just in case if visitors stop by randomly. It's one of my most formal dresses that I own at the moment. As you can see, my family's symbol is on my belt, like how you noticed before. There is also one on my tiara. Each symbol and gem you see on my outfit is made out of moonstone. Only nobles are allowed to wear such crystals due to their protective magical abilities. Even though my family doesn't believe in such magic, they still use it as a good luck charm and a symbol of class."

Krystal stooped back down to grab the outfit on top of the boxes before her. She held it up to her body and smoothed it down, ridding of the creases that had formed. She reminded you of a child playing dress up, especially when she let out an innocent laugh.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"I hope I'm not boring you!

This is one of my favorite outfits that I own. It may not look like much, but it's comfortable and I think it's beautiful, especially with how it flows. Usually I wear simple lace up sandals with this dress instead of these painful heels, but I'm afraid that I hid them a little bit too well from my parents. They always get upset when they see me wear them, always saying that it doesn't look royal or princess-like enough."

You watched her neatly put back the outfit on the wall, continuously smoothing out the wrinkles and creases. She then knelt once more to open the boxes below her. She waved towards you, telling you to kneel along with her. You follow her command.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Sorry to keep you waiting. Here's the little secret that I want to show to you. It might not look like much, but I'm honestly not supposed to have a thing like this in my closet. This is something that I hand made myself... Well, that is, besides the armor and the jewelry. You see, I'm actually into magic; I believe that it exists, even though my parents don't. The learning of magic is also banned due to my family's irrational fear of it. Everything that I know is from books hidden away in the library that my family owns. They didn't burn the books out of fear of being cursed, so instead they made them nearly impossible to find. I don't think they expected me to go into the library to read books on magic seeing how often they tell me to stay away from it.

You also remember how I told you that these moonstones we own are supposedly filled with magic, right? They honestly are; without these stones, I wouldn't be able to cast a single spell that I've learned. What's even greater is that, due to how powerful these shards of stone are, I don't need a wand to use its power. Instead, the magic of the moonstones flow through me."

She put the outfit back into the box before grabbing the one to the side of it. She removed the lid from it, presenting a large mask.
Image
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"And this is the final piece to the previous outfit. It's made from painted lacquered wood, reinforced spider's webbing, and more moonstone shards. This mask not only allows me to gain more strength from the crystals inside it, but it also helps conceal my identity.

If anyone were to know that I was doing this, I don't think it would end nicely for me... But I really do trust you, visitor. Please promise me you will keep this a secret?"

You nodded your head yes as she put the lid back onto the box. She smiled, putting the boxes back where she stored them. You both exit the room; you head back to the couch and she heads back to the desk to finish up her letters.

Insect Box

Postby Yugi » Tue May 31, 2016 7:21 am

Krystal's Insect Box
Image

There was a large glass container sitting on the small, round table next to her bed. On further inspection, you noticed that there were weird looking winged creatures sitting still on the branches inside it. You approach the glass box.
ImageImage
Belongs to Nintendo's Animal Crossing

You leaned over, staring at the box. The creatures inside the miniature enclosure were insects; one had royal blue wings while the other, much larger one, was a nice muted brown. Their wings fluttered slowly as they rested on the large branches. You thought it was peculiar to have a butterfly and a moth as a pet, especially for a princess. You expected someone of her status to have a more elegant and expensive creature, like perhaps an avian or a feline.

Now that you thought about it, you came to the conclusion that maybe these insects weren't exactly cheap or easy to find. You've never seen a blue morpho butterfly fluttering about, nor a giant oak silk moth resting on a tree, at least not in front of you like they are right now. There were books that you have come across in your life that had painted pictures of these winged creatures, describing them in fine detail and then some.

You definitely had questions for Krystal now. You went back to the couch, hoping to get an opportunity to ask her them.

Interviews

Postby Yugi » Wed Jun 01, 2016 10:49 am

Image
After waiting a few hours, and a couple of naps on the couch, you heard Krystal get up once again. She notified you that she was completely done with the letters for the day; now was your chance to interact with her and ask her anything you wanted to know. She sat next to you on the couch, bringing a tray of tea and cups along with her. She placed one cup in front of you and the other in front of her before pouring the hot tea. She sat still and silent, smiling slightly, as she awaited for your first question.

The next page is filled with interviews. By clicking on the questions, you will be taken to the post regarding that question. Krystal will answer each question to the best of abilities.
