Hey cat! He has now been released. It took him a while to learn how to fly and land, but he finally perfected it and proudly perches in the trees. Thanks for the help. =)

I also now have a zebra finch! His name is Paprika. Any tips on them? He's a male and quite friendly, but very flighty; though I hear that's how finches usually are. Would it be a good idea to let him out of the cage while he's mostly hand trained? He wants to come out, but would he return? I know the doves and parakeets always returned to the cage while half trained but i'm not sure if he would go back in. Everything is bird proofed, so he can't hurt himself if he comes out the cage.

Don't you just love when wilds bird just random come close to you when you have a bad day, i swear everytime i look at the bird outside they look at me then come closer and when my siser was diving the bird didnt fly away from us like i see cars driving and the bird fly away and the bird was close, Man I love animals they will never hurt your feeling and they always forgive people for what they have done

Congrats on both parts! Zebra finches are adorable.. but... they make the equivalent of a sun conure noise XD.. "honk.. honk.. "
I wouldn't suggest letting him out since you described him being so flighty and skittish.. Try to bond with him more first. Even though it is bird proofed they are very small and very fast.. A dove could not compare to the speed of a little finch!

He's chirping all day, he sounds like a squeaker toy! He only took about three days to tame, surprisingly. He is still kind of "flighty" but that seems to just because he's got a lot of energy. He'll zoom around at full speed, then return back to you and fall asleep. The doves don't really care that he's there, but the parakeet is in love with him. She follows him around, responds to his chirps, and snuggles with him. She's about a year or less old.

Guys!
I found little tiny Baby birds, that their parents rejected because they are runts
I took them in, and have been feeding them/cleaning up their waste.
One of them is larger than the other, and can shakily stand but not walk.
The other one is the runt, but hardly opens her eyes, where as the other one is always looking around!
I'm planning on raising them, and then letting them go but I need some advice on how to wean them!

PS: They seem to have gunk on their wings, should i clean it off? They just got in some grey feathers ^^

Take Blue and put her in a different cage, at least until Zebra and Fern mate. If Blue is in with them, once they lay the eggs she may interrupt their nesting and destroy the eggs.

Do you know what type of bird the babies are, and are they are eating seeds, insects, worms, or baby bird food? How old do you think they are? Are they being kept in a box or bird cage? Need to know a bit more about them to answer questions on how to wean them. Take a soft rag and soak it in warm water, and hold it against any dried up stuff until it's soft enough to rub off the baby. If it's not soft enough it could damage growing feathers.

I feed them Plain, Boiled Eggs.

I keep them in a low-sided box, with very soft fabric and paper towel underneath them.
I think they are 1 Week old.
