Okay, so, I did this math assuming that 1 Rare = 3 Uncommons, 1 Uncommon = 4 Commons, and 1 Common = 4 Very Commons, so 1 Rare = 48 Very Commons. That's how I would value it. I also divide by 1.5 to equal previous years (so the '10R = 1 '09R + 1 '09U). Values are different for different people but this is what I think.

There are:
12 '16VC = 3 '16C
61 '16C = 15 '16U + 1 '16C
10 '16U = 3 '16R + 1U

Doing some math, that adds up to 4 C 16 U 5 R + 1 U 8 '16R + 2 '16U.

So they have 8.5 '16R = 5.67 '15R = 3.78 '14R = 2.52 '13R = 1.67 '12R = 1.12 '11R = ~0.75 '10R.

Using my math - which is definitely not without its flaws - I would say you overpaid.

The unicorn is worth a mid/late 2010 rare, so it's unfair to the top. Like you said though, the unicorn is a special one so you might be able to get more, and I myself have had better offers. It depends on how you and your trading partner value demand.

The Raven right now is going for (value wise) from a Green Toxic to a Sorbet. The BMD with it's demand goes for about a Balloon dog, so I have to say this is a pretty good offer, if you take in all the extra rares ^^
They are overpaying, but I would say this is up to you and your take on the pets being offered.
