Squirrelpaw awoke to see a silvery cat beside her. She started out of the tree, only to stop when her own usually fiery orange fur was faded and glimmering. She yelped in surprise, whirling around to face the starry cat. "Where am I?" the young she cat demanded, "Am I dead?" she croaked, suddenly tired and weary, she sank to the ground. "All I remember is being restless, and taking a walk... then my tail got caught and the wound reopened... I bled out didn't I?" as the words came out the tom nodded slowly. "Your mother wishes that you go back to join your friend, Ashpaw, isn't it?" he mewed slowly, a sad edge to his mew. Squirrelpaw was ecstatic, but it quickly deflated as she made note of his edginess. "On what condition?" she asked warily. He bowed his head, "Flamewing is special, my mate. But she and I have lived full lives, and are fading as starclan cats arrive. She and I have decided to let you live, if we leave starclan permanently." his strong voice quiet with despair. Squirrelpaw stared at the tom, his toirtesseshell pelt a faded mottled brown. "Your Swiftbreeze? I didn't recognize you..." Swiftbreeze bowed his head, "You were young when the badgers came. Anyway, you must agree to this, we will be completely faded very soon anyway, so it wont matter if our lives are ended early." Squirrelpaw leaned against the tom, "OK, send me home." and with that, the two cats shared a lick, and in no time Squirrelpaw was lying on her side near a stream, her tail stinging and her breath coming in quick, short gasps. "Ashpaw?" she squeaked weakly.

Berrypaw

After she did what her mentor told her she returned in a hurry to the camp and go straight to the nursery. If I don't do something the kits may die. Starclan,help us. Berrypaw was searching in her head for something useful then a memory came into her mind.
*flashback*
Berrypaw: "Cobweb is for bleeding right?" She asked as Threeleg started to fix her leg.
*end flashback*
Goldenpaw and Threeleg said that it is right... Maybe this can be usefull somehow to Gullstep. But how? She was lost in her toughts but soon her glare fell on the medicine cat den so she walked inside searching for anything that seems usefull.

( Berrypaw doesn't know how to help a queen give birth,but I do and I can't use the things I know as DumbBerry doesn't know them...)

Gullstep nodded a silent thank you to Sorrelpaw for the water as she continued to bite down on the stick. The first kit was soon out and then another followed that one fifteen minutes later, "They... they look just like my mother," Gullstep wheezed as she looked at the first kit, "Wavekit," she named the first, "Owlkit," she named the second.

Although she was in pain Gullstep thought she was doing pretty good without a medicine cat. She supposed loners and rogues had to give birth without medicine cats so she could be strong like them.

Ten minutes passed and another kit was born, "Applekit," she breathlessly named this one. Five minutes after that the last kit was born, "Otterkit..." she finally named that one.

Silverkit heard four new kits. She squeaked back, a small, reassuring mew.

Fernstar's eyes widened. "Berrypaw! Go and get Threeleg!" She ordered but before Berrypaw could find the medicine cat he came hurtling into the den with Goldenpaw and Crabwhisker. "Threeleg! Thank StarClan you're here!" She watched the medicine cat hop across to Gullstep and help her out. For the first time ever, Fernstar wondered what it was like to have only three legs, and it caused her to glance at her right back leg.

Threeleg threw himself into camp and towards the medicine den, slowing his pace. He lead Goldenpaw into the crowded medicine den. "Sorry I wasn't here Gullstep." He apologised, sitting down beside her with the raspberry leaves and borage. Seeing the kits already born, he let out a sigh of relief. "At least there wasn't any complications." He muttered to himself. He handed Gullstep the raspberry leaves. "These will help with the pain." Then he turned to Goldenpaw. "Raspberry leaves act as a painkiller during kitting." He told the blind golden apprentice.

Ｊｕｎｉｐｅｒｆｒｏｓｔ
Juniperfrost turned at an unwelcome yet familiar voice. The rogue from the gathering. Her neck fur began to stand on end and he arched her back slightly as Fernstar confronted the tom. When he turned and disappeared, she looked at Berrypaw. "Go and tell the patrol to keep a sharp eye out and to make sure he stays out of our territory." She told her apprentice as her neck fur lay flat.

Ｓｐａｒｒｏｗｐａｗ
Sparrowpaw's eyes brightened and he smiled as Blueheart said they could go to the StoneClan border. "It will be awesome hunting together." He mewed, padding forward to stand beside Dustpaw. "We can have competitions to see who can catch the most prey." He mewed happily, crouching on his front legs and waving his brown tabby tail in the air. He could t wait to hunt with his friend. It would be fun.

Aquilo smiled at the ginger tabby. "Don't be upset if they reject you, they are in a tough situation at the moment. If you want a better chance at being accepted, I would give them a few days. Oh, and don't just walk into their camp, wait until you are found by a cat. But the more obvious, the better." He advised, waving his tail in a friendly manner.

She looked at Fernstar when the medicine cat entered the den."I aleardy called them when I was out to warn the patrol about Bloodwolf."She said smileing and looking at the queen and the newborn kits."They are so small and cute and beautifull and,and" Berrypaw let out her excitment.

Ashpaw anxiously padded around the forest. He sniffed around but no matter how hard he tried there was nothing. Ashpaw finally got it..a scent. It was faint but definite. He followed it for a bit then he heard he calling his name. Sprinting towards the place he heard the noise and accidentlly leaving Silentstream behind he finally reached her. He took one look at her tail and grabbed some cobwebs. Ashpaw knew they were good for wounds as his mother had taught him that at a young age. He gently pressed them on then sat down next to her. "What happened?!" He meowed rather furiously. He then looked down and looked at the hurt in her eyes and apologised. "I..I'm so sorry...I was just so worried" he meowed, his voice filled with grief. He gently licked her fur until Silverstream caught up. Ashpaw then meowed "We need to get her back to camp and to Threeleg now"

Dawnflower was just getting into her meal when the kittypet entered the camp. What now? she thought to herself. The kittypet's smell made her wrinkle up her nose and almost loose her appetite but she was so hungry she continued eating. Dawnflower kept a close eye on the cat as she slowly ate. She knew that clan cats have had problems with kitty pets in the past but she didn't think a single one could do much. She continued watching the kittypet, waiting to see what would happen.

Owlkit finished drinking and curled up beside Gullstep. He knew that his siblings were trying to move around and explore but her was to tired. A small meow came from his tiny pink mouth then he fell asleep.

Sorrelpaw sat in the clearing, unsure of what to do. She heard the mewling of kits, and exhaled. Gullstep would be ok.

Wavekit squealed as her brother shoved her away, showing her bright pink mouth to the world. She squirmed in place, flailing around until she managed to get close to Gullstep and her siblings. A small front paw bats at her brother's face in annoyance, but soon she too started drinking milk.

Blueheart gave Silentstream a understanding nod "Just make sure to bring someone else with you, there could still be some foxes that have not left the territory" He ordered as He looked back at his patrol "Alright, seems like we are ready then?" he asked "Look out for Bloodwolf mark the borders and hunt" he said out loud just repeating what they were going to do. Once Sparrowpaw spoke he looked at him to hear him out "Yes we will go by Stoneclan but we will not cross the border, we are only there to mark them" he said at Sparrowpaw who looked to be in his own thoughts "My plan is to mark the borders and stop a few times at places that smell of prey" he added "Or do you have other suggestions?" he asked the group.

Tiredly the queen looked down at her kits, eyes full of love for the newborns. She felt such pride for her kits... but a twinge of sadness as well. She wished Tideleap had been alive to see his children... she knew he would have loved them. Somehow she felt as though he was with them though... watching from Starclan.
"It's quite alright, Threeleg," Gullstep purred. She nodded at the medicine cat and ate the raspberry leaves.

Returning to camp Crabwhisker saw that he was already to late. He put the stick down and sat outside the nursery -- far enough away that other cats could go in and get out easily without him in the way. He could see glimpses of the kits and for the first time in a long time felt a swell of pride for his Seaclan blood.
