I don't think it should really matter what breed of cat he is. Why should this play a factor in whether or not you should bring your cat inside? Your cats health is slowly deteriorating because of what he is doing outside. That should be a red flag to er, not bring let outside, or supervise him, but that might be hard to do.

Also, from your first sentence, are you saying if your cat wasn't a rare breed, like a regular ol' tabby, you would let him romp out on the streets? You wouldn't care if he died because he isn't a rare breed? That's what I'm getting from that...

Horse, it's most likely he's just a mix breed/'domestic long hair'. Chantilly/Tiffanys seem like a pretty rare and recent breed and most rescue/shelter cats are complete mutts. Plus, most people don't just abandon papered/purebred cats.

IMO breed isn't that big of a deal with cats unless you're buying a purebred or looking for specific traits in a cat so personally I don't fuss over what my shelter kid could be. She fits what I need and that's what matters!

Sorry if I sound rude, but I don't think you understood. He is not a shelter pet.. He is an abandoned stray, I can tell because he knows how to use a litter box. He does look exactly like a Chantilly, and I don't think someone will keep a cat, even if it's rare. Dee is mean a little, so maybe that's why he was abandoned. My mom, dad, and my friends all say he looks like a Chantilly. Is there a way I can specify what breed he is?

Dee does have the traits of a Chantilly, acts like one, and even chirps. Could that be another possibility he is a Chantilly?

P.S I'm wondering what breed he is so I can decide to bring him inside or not. He is slowly getting sick because he is drinking street water, and fighting with cats.

A purebred Chantilly costs upwards of $400. I seriously doubt that someone who is going to go through the hassle of finding a breeder and paying $400-$600 is going to just abandon their cat. Especially since there is really only one cattery for them in America, and they are no longer breeding due to a fire in 2014.

As others have asked, why is the determining factor of if you bring him in or not his breed? The threats and downfalls of outdoor cats don't care the breed of the cat. Dogs will still attack an expensive cat, cars can still hit them, other cats can still give them diseases and cause damage during fights.

If he's sick, even more reason to get him in. Like I said, wrap him in a towel(or a blanket) to stuff him in a carrier. He'll be pissed about it but it's one of your options to get him some actual medical attention without getting clawed.

There are people in this thread that have experience catching feral cats, myself included, who would be happy to help you if you weren't so quick to jump to accusing everyone of bullying you. I'm also not sure why you keep stressing that he's not a shelter cat? There's nothing wrong with shelter cats.

Asking for clarification and explaining why it's unlikely that your cat is a rare breed is not bullying you.

When I 'caught' my babe, Nightmare, she was just so sweet... Didn't even care that I was picking her up! I was just a teeny-tiny little kid then, too. But anyway, I guess she's just like that. A little underweight, but amazing nonetheless. We did try to give her a bath once... Really the only time she's ever lashed out. I don't think we're doing that again anytime soon.

Does anyone have any pointers on what I should feed my older cats, Soshi and Blinky?
Soshi has stomach issues, and throws up a lot (from a surgery he had to get a long time ago, different story!) and Blinky's just old. Should I be feeding them soft foods, or should I continue with the hard food I'm feeding them now? They don't seem to be having any issues with eating it, other than Soshi's stomach issues (though that is unavoidable), but I worry.

I am an owner of.............................. well let's just call him a heinz 57 if you will (we don't know the breed, but that is just fine. Though I'm convinced he's part human.) anyway, he's a sweet loving cat who loves to be the center of attention, but when it comes to clipping his nails he's super mean and not afraid to whack with his paw. Any tips for keeping him calm when trimming his nails other then taking him to a professional nail trimmer.

You'll want to counter condition him. Basically start from the beginning and get him used to having his paws handled.
With my cats, I got them used to having their paws touched and manipulated before the nail clippers ever came out. I'd pick up their paws and play with them and unsheathe their claws. Once they were used to this and showed no reaction, I pulled out the clippers and did one claw at a time until they showed signs of discomfort. Then I stopped clipping and heavily treated before letting them go. Don't think you have to clip all four paws every time! When he starts getting uncomfortable, end the interaction. Try to get him out of that mind frame and praise him for doing well up to this point.

Then all you do is continue this method until he's comfortable having all four paws done. Make sure you treat when you're finished and praise him!
