The young female glanced left then right as she walked in the pine tree forest, sighing as she thought of how the lake had again caught fire around the edges. It was a strange lake, that was for sure, but she rather liked it. Anyhow, she shook her head as she headed for the nearby meadow, where she knew that that herd of deer always hung out at and grazed. It was likely also the place where they had their babies and raised them until old enough to make the long journey back to whatever place they went to once summer arrived. As she was walking, she heard a growling sound, and glanced up to see a large, non descript black dog staring her down. She drew up to her full height, and with a growl it ran off...
