I shook my head, laughing at Sonia's joke. I take her hand a ran out the door, yelling "We'll be in Vegas if anyone needs us!" before it closes. I navigate around the front garden and reach the portal to the human world. "Cannonball!" and with that, I jump into the pools of beautiful blues and purples.

"Still. Nicky, just why? Why would anyone like someone who acts like that? It's just.. weird." I said, shaking my head and sitting down next to Lilly.

Stumbling out onto a busy street, Sonia took in all of the bright, dazzling lights around her that shown even during the day. Some may have hated the feeling of that portal, but Sonia actually didn't hate it. She actually quite enjoyed the feeling of being whisked to another place. Still gripping Larkin's hand, Sonia began to lead them to a grand building with a dazzling sign on the front that read "Golden Luck Casino". Tricking the humans into loosing a considerable amount of their money never failed to create bitter feelings and negative emotions amongst those of their kind. It had been a while since Larkin and Sonia had last been on one of their infamous missions to mess with humans, and even longer since they'd last done so in Vegas. Sonia couldn't wait to see what the night would hold.

With a wide smile, I stared up at the lights. Vegas was my favourite city to visit, even if I wasn't causing trouble. The bright lights and busy streets just cast this effect on me that I couldn't even begin to describe. Walking into the casino after Sonia, I grabbed a random, pretty looking drink off a serving tray and took a sip. "Where shall we begin?" I ask, looking around at all the slots machines, billiards tables, and poker games. 'Poor souls, addicted to wasting money on their silly games' I thought.

Ruty snuggled into Nicky, purring quietly. "You should be nicer to her..." He said quietly. "She's a really nice girl." He laid down across Nicky's lap and yawned.

Sonia grabbed another colorful drink that was placed by someone who clearly wasn't paying attention and clinked the edge of the rim with Larkin's, raising the glass, and taking a small sip of her own, "Cheers! I say we begin with poker and work our way around. No one usually suspects two girls to beat everyone out, so we will walk away victorious as always. Then we can just coax other humans into betting their money on some impossible odds, and feigning surprise at how crazy it was that they could have even possibly lost! Sound okay to you?"
