Hey, I have a quick story.
4 years ago, there was a cat, wandering around my neighbourhood. My family decided to start feeding him. We called him Dee, and we believe he is a Chantilly Tiffany cat, one of the most rarest breeds. Why would someone abandon him? He was scared of boots, so maybe he was kicked. I remember the first time I lightly touched his head; he ran away, came back and let me rub him.
He has survived -30 winters, because of my family. He would cuddle into my jacket as I picked him up. He would hide in his heated shelter. He would close his eyes and raise his head at the sight of my hand, waiting for the pleasure of me to stroke his "mane".
Now, the most devastating part.
He got kicked in the leg by a rabbit. His leg was fractured for almost a week. He couldn't walk, and still, he got in fights with other, stronger cats.
My cat was an outcast, abandoned. Not loved... Until he met me.
He's scared of my mom and dad, but not me. I can touch his sensitive hip, and brush him there. He doesn't scratch, or bite. He nips, and I learned that from when my neighbour started to pet him aggressively.
But he survived.
Almost 6 years after I met him, he's grown, and I have too. I would be devastated to lose him, he was the best cat I have ever heard of. Right now, his estimated age is 7-9 years old. He was about 3 years when I met him. He is a stray, so he will live longer than a house cat.
Dee is believed to be a mate of 4 other females. I have found him in his hut with a kitten just like him before.
Right now, I am working on a book, called Dee and Me.
The photo is Dee a few months back. Now he has shiny fur, glossy eyes, and barely any injuries.
