Recently I saved this scrappy looking orange and white kitty off the streets of Florida, where I live.
He was extremely underweight at first, and had BAD wounds on his neck. I was scared he was going to die, but thankfully the worst injury he had was he was badly starved. He did indeed have a collar, but the number didn't work and whoever once owned him abandoned him. So we kept him!

We've had him for just about 2 weeks now and he's looking great =3 his name is Xander
P.s my rooms a mess because I'm getting rid of my old toys since I'm to old for them, plus we just moved some birds in my room (Xander has no interest in them don't worry) so it's messy!

Just make sure you never let the birds out while Xander is in the room with them! Cat saliva is toxic to birds, so he could cause them serious harm without even trying to!

Frisk and I went on another little outing downtown today! Originally just went to get lunch but there was a music festival going on so we walked around a little before settling down at a cafe (outdoor seating, of course).
She got lots of attention and compliments on how chill she was hanging out of my lap. Overall, a good experience!

@plum

My cat named Callie that I used to own looked practically just like that! Unfortunately she sorta was always a very wild cat and she sort of went off on her own. She's the mother of one of my cats... We aren't sure if she was Rachet or Clanks mother, we had two litters at the same time, both Braveheart and Callie had their kits so close together.

Oh... Sometimes I wonder if Clank is traumatized... When we had two litters and were trying to find all of the kittens in both litters, we were able to catch them all fairly easy... Except for Clank. He ran into a large pipe in our yard.. And unfortunately we had to use "other methods" to get him out. We stuck a net at one end and a water hose at the other.. And out came the kitten, basically clinging to the net. He was always one of the nicer kittens which is why we kept him and his brother/cousin in the end. But now he's a very demanding, vocal and nippy cat. We always joke around that he is traumatized from his kitten experience.

What do you do if your dog (ya I know this is a cat thread but I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask..) keeps chewing a sore on his leg to the point that he is worrying it? We don't bandage it anymore cause he always takes it off. He licks off the medicine too. I'm really worried he will have to go into sugary if we don't stop him from chewing on the sore on his leg. Please send me a PM if you have any suggestions...

Anyone wanna hear a story about my Luna Sky?
WARNING- It's upsetting...
We adopted her from HAWS... Her name was Topaz, but we renamed her Luna. Luna Sky Johnson.
She was the sweetest little shorthair, although she looked like a siamese. And we loved her right from the start. She didn't wrestle with my dog... She didn't fight back whenever my dog tried to tear her into little pieces... She was so calm

And then we found out why...

She had a heart murmur. Her heart was beating too fast... She wasn't expected to make it to her first birthday.
It was mortifying. We could pay thousands for surgery, but she had a 50% chance of survival, and that would only cause her more pain and suffering, and wouldn't do much good... Maybe extend her life for a few more years, but it would be too painful to bear.
So we simply kept her... Everyone ignored the fact that she wouldn't live long. We acted like we didn't know.

Honestly, I wasn't very nice to her, and she wasn't nice to me. I remember when she crawled onto my bed one time and laid on top of my pillow, clawing at my hair. I picked her up by the scruff and threw her out, shutting the door and heading back to sleep.
We were rivals... I guess... But she loved me in a different way than I loved her.

We were at a cross country meet in October, 23, 2015. Me and my family. I got 6th or 7th place out of a heck a lot of people. Later we went out to Buffalo Wild Wings. Had a great time, everything was so pleasant.

Until my dad said that when he had come home today while we were at school, Luna wasn't breathing. He had buried her out in the yard, in the tall grass, or 'forest', as we refer to it. We cried enough water to fill up the Amazon River.

But me? I hardly cried at all. I still regret it, wish I could go back and undo some things... Wish I could get a chance to say sorry to our poor cat.

We got her grave a nice stone a few weeks ago. It said 'I Love my Cat' on it, and we laid in there. It was nice and flat, and it worked nicely. It wouldn't blow away in the wind or anything.

But really... She had 4 days left until her first birthday... The birthday she'll never get to celebrate

Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. I was on a trip a day ago and I got homesick... which I never do, but I did. But then I thought of how my cat was watching over me, and I toughed it out.

Whoa! How do you even get your cat to wear a harness/collar?! My cats would claw my face off if I even thought of doing that, ha. ^^ Anyway, I have three cats. One is a stray we adopted (Nightmare) and has green eyes and black fur. She never scratches or bites- she's not declawed, either (none of them are)- and she loves everyone except my younger brothers because of... Prior experiences, but she puts up with them. My second cat, Soshi, is chubby and lazy. He's brown/orange with brown stripes, a white belly and paws, and green eyes. He doesn't do anything- not even chase strings, birds, bugs, or toys... And then there's Blinky. He's just like Soshi, but with a white face and he's skinny and 'mean'. He doesn't like anybody except for me, ESPECIALLY my dad. My dad wasn't nice at all to him when he was a kitten, and now he's afraid of most people- males, specifically- and he bites and scratches. Is there a way I can help him be less afraid? ^^;

Hey, I have a quick story.

4 years ago, there was a cat, wandering around my neighbourhood. My family decided to start feeding him. We called him Dee, and we believe he is a Chantilly Tiffany cat, one of the most rarest breeds. Why would someone abandon him? He was scared of boots, so maybe he was kicked. I remember the first time I lightly touched his head; he ran away, came back and let me rub him.

He has survived -30 winters, because of my family. He would cuddle into my jacket as I picked him up. He would hide in his heated shelter. He would close his eyes and raise his head at the sight of my hand, waiting for the pleasure of me to stroke his "mane".

Now, the most devastating part.
He got kicked in the leg by a rabbit. His leg was fractured for almost a week. He couldn't walk, and still, he got in fights with other, stronger cats.

My cat was an outcast, abandoned. Not loved... Until he met me.

He's scared of my mom and dad, but not me. I can touch his sensitive hip, and brush him there. He doesn't scratch, or bite. He nips, and I learned that from when my neighbour started to pet him aggressively.

But he survived.

Almost 6 years after I met him, he's grown, and I have too. I would be devastated to lose him, he was the best cat I have ever heard of. Right now, his estimated age is 7-9 years old. He was about 3 years when I met him. He is a stray, so he will live longer than a house cat.

Dee is believed to be a mate of 4 other females. I have found him in his hut with a kitten just like him before.

Right now, I am working on a book, called Dee and Me.

The photo is Dee a few months back. Now he has shiny fur, glossy eyes, and barely any injuries.

That's so sweet ;n;
Very cute cat! He looks exactly like my (now deceased) grandma's cat, Solomon. He was gray, but the resemblance is uncanny!
