↳ Their Relationship: "I never thought of myself as a mother."
No, never had Bonnie thought of herself as the maternal kind.
She couldn't even picture herself with a mate, let alone falling
in love! "My heart belongs solely to wind and wherever it takes
me." Well, that's what she thought. She wasn't against love, no,
she just wasn't that type of girl... until a little pigeon crashed
into her life. And he desperately needed her to help him fly. ♥
↳ Their History: Something wasn't right; Bonnie could feel it.
An unsteady, broken heartbeat thumped alongside the rhythm of
the forest, and it begun to muddle with her own, racing curiosity.
It could've been risky and dangerous to sift through the uncharted
turf where she'd deiced to camp, but something, perhaps the pale
moonlight, told her she'd be safe. She was; however, sidetracked
by her first discovery. A tattered, muddy crown. As she took it by
her paws, she could feel her own heart beat grow. She swore she
felt it's mysterious aura try to tell her something. The crown was
heavy, could it be made of real gold? It's untold secrets haunted
her as she stared at it and it stared back. She wanted to put her
new found artifact in her trusty backpack, but, something told
her, not yet. There was more of this puzzle to piece together.
So she kept it clutched tightly in her grip as if, if she let it go,
it might drop and shatter through the earth disappearing with
the answers she needed to know. Suddenly, up ahead, Bonnie
saw something that made her heart stop and crumble apart.
Instinctively, she clutched the crown tight to her chest as she
stood and stared at the being before her. It was a Rainbow
Paint Wolf pup! And alone! What was it doing out, dead of
night, without it's mother? Bonnie didn't know what to do.
Silently crying, the young child knew they had company,
but didn't want to look up. They feared the worst of who
could be before them and what they might do to him.
But with nothing more to lose, they lifted their head,
reveling tear-stained eyes, and what appeared to be
some kind of animal uncomfortably in their clutch,
who struggled to get out of the pup's paws. Their
eyes met, and for a second time stopped and the
two were lost in each other's eyes and the secrets
the other possessed-they do say the eyes are the
windows to the soul. Abruptly, Bonnie thrust the
crown out towards the child and said,
"I think this is yours."

↳ Napoleon's History: Napoleon came from a dynasty of animal-bird "gods."
These creatures weren't birds, but resembled them to give the birds a voice.
They were represented and respected as royalty, and ruled the forests before
human kind rose to power and technology existed. But as the world evolved,
so did they. They begun to live for shorter periods of time, and their powers
of connecting with birds slowly faded away. They were no longer needed.
Now, they are represented as legends and told to children at bedtime.
Only a handful of these creature still exist, haunting the forests they
ruled once upon a time. Napoleon is one, but he was kicked out of
his home by his brothers and sisters for being an "ugly" bird, not
worthy of his crown. Their mothers and fathers had passed away,
leaving the thrown to their boisterous sons and daughters.

Companion Gender: Female • Companion Pronouns: She, her
↳ Their Relationship: Harmony is one of the last birds to exist
that the bird gods represented. When Napoleon was exiled,
he grabbed Harmony and took off with her. He had talked
to her lots of times before about his worries and troubles,
although he knew Harmony could not speak back. But he
did know she could listen and understand. He could almost
hear her thoughts and well wishes back to him like the way
his ancestors used to talk to the birds. Truthfully, Harmony
does care for him, but wishes he not treat her like a "pet."

What Happened: Bonnie was enthralled by Napoleon's story.
She'd heard of the powerful and respected bird gods before,
but this was nothing like she'd expected. She wanted to hunt
deeper into the forest to find the others, but she knew it would
not be safe for Napoleon. And although she wasn't a mother, she
was an adult and knew she couldn't leave the child alone. So, she
took him under her wing. She took him back to her campsite and
packed her things up. They went to a nearby town where he had
his first real meal for weeks and where their friendship started to
grow. They still come back to this town every year. Bonnie learned
that Napoleon liked to explore and instantly she knew that he would
love to join her on her world travels. Napoleon was fascinated by her
stories, too. He'd never left his forest kingdom before.

And so, Bonnie helped Napoleon find his wings and they flew into new adventures and memories together!

okay,,, decided I'd give an update

I'm not too sure when the end date will be- AP testing, mothers day, and my own anniversary are coming up so I don't want to set an indefinite end date yet (especially since I don't know what everyone else's schedules are like)
I'm thinking maybe this could end around the 21st? its tentative x v x

if anyone entering wants to let me know an end date that might be good for them feel free to let me know so I can try to accommodate and find a good date for this to end on !!

Mackenzie >> Being his new father, Charles is unsure of what to think of the bigger wolf. They are completely different from each other; Charles being related to royalty, and Mackenzie coming from a tribe located miles away. But Charles has to admire him to a point - his speaking skills are not the best, nor is his writing...but his behavior and calm nature make up for it. He does feel calm around this guy, and its a big help when he's panicking about the real world not surrounded by large roles - for example, having to do chores. He's also a great person to cuddle, Charles has found, and he dubs his adoptive father with the nickname 'McSheep'.
Minunn >> He adores this bigger wolf like he would his biological mother. She's very soothing and understanding, and is always there for him when he stumbles into a new obstacle. She helps him through new things he has to encounter, and is almost like his safety blanket...but in much bigger form. And they share a closer connection, as Minunn's family herself is a very...grand one at that, with her fathers powers being connected to that of a gods. She tends to tell him stories about it, to help him calm his nerves and get on with his new life. She gets him treats of things he wants, but makes sure he does chores around to help out, and helps him out usually as he may forget where things go or what he has to do.
Wisp >> Being one of his two adopted siblings, Charles sure does like Wisp. Her more outgoing nature is a bit much for the young wolf, but he tends to deal with it. But he shares a few things in common with her, and she also had to see the world in a different light, like how he is trying to learn how to do. She is the sibling Charles will go to if he wants to go somewhere, and the parents are out or currently too busy. She's his favourite out of the two, and she even helps him get food for his companion, Alfred.
Nirvelli >> Charles is not sure of what to think of Nirvelli. Since they are more quiet and tend to hide in the shadows, the majority of the time he barely even knows if she's around or not...but at least she doesn't get on his nerves. He doesn't hate her or anything, as she tends to leave little messages around for her and they can spend time together - in mostly silence. But he does wish that they could spend more time together, that she could come out of her shell and that they could talk.

Alfred, a female red milk snake
>> Alfred is Charles' red milk snake...yes, a female. She's a much more recent family member, Mackenzie and Minunn getting her for him for his most recent birthday two months back. Despite the rather short time together, the two have bonded very well. Charles can often be seen with the snake wrapped somewhat around his neck, or one of his arms - the snake barely spends time in her enclosure, only at night. or if Charles has to go somewhere and cannot take her with him. If you were to ask him about her, he would say that Alfred was his best friend, and that she was a snake full of surprises.

How he escaped ;;
Now while it may seem like a long shot, yes, Charles was once a prince from an unknown kingdom...but he had run away, he hadn't been handed off by his parents or sent away because of the kingdom falling apart. The kingdom had been fine; his two fathers rules over the castle and village with kindness, and it was a rather kind place to be...Charles wouldn't leave it for the world.
But as a curriculum the kingdom has, he was sent on a journey to find something...every prince was to do this in order to be heir, and they were given no hints...they just had to find something which would become of value to them, to contribute to the castle and its growth.
It may seem like he was too young to be sent off, but his father did the same, and the king before him. It was a tradition passed down. He is still on his journey, even now. How he had turned up being 'adopted' however? In order to get to where he is, he had masked his identity in order to be able to pass borders...and had found this family, which could perhaps help him in finding what he needed,
But perhaps...he has connected too much? Connected to those of lower status, to those who were just strangers...
Perhaps this family is his item of value.
