She was in her room, throwing stuff into a small backpack. "Clothes, books, phone, phone charger..." She stopped and ran a hand through her hair. The girl ignored the fact that Steve was now in the apartment.

He watched as Steve left, but his gaze made its way to Ella. "Running? You've been running? From who?"

She swallowed the hard lump that was forming in her throat, she looked back down at her shoes, "people... it's a long story, and you probably wouldn't understand," she tried to look back up at Scott, but couldn't bring herself too.

He could hear her voice coming from what he guessed to be her room. He entered quietly before clearing his throat, "what exactly happened back there?"

She froze and looked at him, "Nothing." With that she threw the backpack on her back and headed for the window behind her. Opening it she looked to the left, a fire escape wasn't that far away. Sighing she climbed through the window and pressed herself against the building before jumping to the fire escape. "Whos strong and brave and running from SHIELD all the time..." She sang unhappily as she made her way to the roof. "Ella and Coal. Ella and Coal."

He looked up and blinked, a small black dot was working its way up the building. "Ummm...."

Ella looked up to where Scott was looking, her eyes quickly focusing on the figure of her friend climbing the building, "not this again," she huffed, turning to walk towards the building, "I probably won't see you again," she turned back to Scott for a split second, before sprinting to the run down apartment building.

He poked his head through the window, watching as Coal scaled the building easily, "did you just say SHIELD?" He called after her, hoping she would hear him.

She had just made it to the top of the building and was leaning over the edge to talk to him, "Yup. You jealous?"

He stood there, "Again?" He squeaked out, a sad feeling took over as she ran off. Scott didn't want to go after her in case Coal felt threatened and set something else on fire.

"Where is a pigeon when you need one?" Ella whispered to herself as she ran into the building. She went slowly up the stairs, knowing if she went after her, Coal would probably only get more frustrated, and that wasn't a good thing at this moment.

"Be jealous of who I work for? Why don't you come down so we can talk? It might help this whole situation," he leaned out the window and craned his neck up to look at her, "I'm not in a climbing mood."

She growled, "No. You work for them, why should I trust you? Oh hey look Cap, your boyfriend is lookin' for ya." She let more of herself lean over the edge so if she let go her head would smash into the ground.

"Steve!" He called, he didn't want her to fall. "Steve get her!" He started towards the building, his pace quickening at the thought of her falling.

Ella came up behind Steve, "is she hanging upside down? I feel like she is..." Ella knew her best friend all too well, nothing she did ever really surprised her anymore.

"You should trust me because," he paused and trusted himself out the window, and onto the fire escape, "because," he continued, "I'm about to keep you from killing yourself," he began to climb the building.

She grumbled, "No. I don't want your help." Quickly she pulled herself back over the ledge and stood, looking around the roof.

"What floor are you guys even on?" He shouted up at them, trying to count the amount of windows. Putting a hand on his hip and another on his lip, he recounted.

"Let him help you!" Ella called after Coal, not daring to out the window herself. As Steve thrusted himself out the window, she grabbed a bag from the floor, and started throwing random things into the bag, knowing that after Coal got off the roof, they wouldn't be staying long.

"Whether you like it or not," he pulled himself up on the roof, "you're getting my help. Am I really supposed to just turn a blind eye after you ignited a whole building?"
