Emily Roberts
bisexual | natural | 21% Steller's jay | group three | Dorak
Emily was continuing on her walk towards the mountains, having long abandoned the girl she had attempted to speak to earlier. She didn't feel upset at missing the prospect of having company; to be honest, she was just as comfortable alone as she was with others.
As she moved along, a strange figure came into view in the near distance. Straining to make out what it was despite the heat haze, she squinted her eyes and held her hand over her forehead to shield from the sun. After a moment, she realized what she was looking at was a person, albeit a strange one. That was quite a tail the figure was sporting, and were those things on its head some sort of horns or just giant ears? Emily knew she shouldn't be too surprised by these anomalies, considering they were in the Dome, but she always found it interesting to see how the animal DNA had affected other domies.
As she drew nearer to the figure, she suddenly stopped mid-pace, then quickly crouched and jumped off the ground, spreading her wings as she did so. Having launched herself into the air, she flew as high as she could go (which really wasn't too high; just under seventy feet at most), then rather noisily flapped and glided closer to the boy until she was almost directly over him. From this position, she swooped down, coming to a quick but quite unsteady landing only feet in front of him.
She stumbled a bit from the poor landing, but managed to regain her balance and looked up at the stranger, a little smile playing across her face. "Hello, I don't think we've met before. Where're you headed?" She said it all a bit quickly, not even bothering to introduce herself.
Eva Deichmann
bisexual | experimental | 45% Peary caribou | domestic | Karasuma
Eva shook her head slightly. "No, I have no idea if they're in the lab or not. B-but, sir, isn't Ms. Nagachika in group three? I, um, I'm not sure if you're allowed to bring her in early like that. You will, well, you'll have to wait until that number comes around, I think." It was very evident how uncomfortable she was to be telling the scientist what to do. She sounded terribly unsure of herself as she informed him of this, even though she really knew without a doubt that he couldn't have her brought in early. Still, she couldn't help but suggest to him, "Maybe you should talk to Dr. Sutton about it? He, um, might know more."
Nakai Taya
demi-pansexual | experimental | 30% cougar | domestic | Alexis
Nakai barely paid attention as the girl ranted to him. "Hurting that domestic was a dumb move. If you want to lower your chances of staying in the lab for a full cycle, I'd suggest you come quietly," he threatened, grabbing the rope that was still around her neck and tugging at it. He stopped, however, as she began questioning his motives for staying a domestic. Glaring into her eyes, he hissed, "I have my reasons, and I'm not going to waste my breath to share them with you." As to why he didn't just kill the scientists, he knew it wasn't that easy. He'd most certainly be caught and killed for doing such a thing, or at best be turned into a domie. It just wasn't something he wanted to risk. Besides, what would the world think of the hybrids if they did manage to escape? They'd see them as hideous monsters, no doubt. At least in the Dome, they were safe from the scorn and hate of the outside. Shaking himself from his thoughts, he tugged at the rope again and took a step towards the lab.
