She blinked up at him, "You are Steve Rogers?" She narrowed her eyes at him, looking him over. "Well your built, and handsome... I'm Coal." She smiled cheekily at him.

"I like that name." he smiled and tilted his head down trying to get her to look at him.

Honestly, she could see the first squirrel's standpoint, but on the other hand... he was trying to get her to look at him, she could sense it, "I like your name too," she whispered, looking up slightly.

"I'm going to take that as a compliment," he smiled and laughed quietly, "nice name by the way, is Coal a nickname?"

She looked over at Ella her eyes bright, "Nope its my name." She stated kindly to Steve, "Ella, they aren't gonna bite. If they do we both know I can take them." She looked over at the two men, putting her hands behind her back smiling.

He blinked at Coal, take them? How? He shrugged it off and stared at Ella once more.

"I mean, I'm pretty sure I could take the squirrels on my own..." She was still half zoned out, only half focusing on the conversation around her.

"Well, shouldn't we get going if we want ice cream, the place closes at six doesn't it?" He had to fight himself to look away from Coal... something about her made it hard to look away.

She shook her head and took the lead, "Yep." She started to skip again, making her hair sway once more. Slowly to a stop she stared at the cross walk sign, it quickly turned green much to her joy. Right as she was about to cross the street a car zoomed past, jumping back slightly she squeaked in fear.

He blinked at the comment about the squirrels but pushed it back, he followed Steve and Coal. Making sure to keep pace with Ella all the way.

Ella smiled slightly as she noticed Scott keeping pace with her, but quickly diverted her attention as she heard Coal squeak. "Coal, are you okay?" She asked quickly, not really worried about her, she could see that she was perfectly fine, but rather asking about her emotional levels, it was crucial to keep those in check.

Steve was caught off guard as the car rushed past, almost hitting Coal, "woah, are you alright?" He asked the question before Ella rushed up in a panic, she was overreacting in his opinion.

Anger erupted in her, the flames grew and grew inside her stomach. They had seen her walking, but didn't stop. They could have hit her, or maybe if she hadn't been leading they could have hit Steve or Ella. Fear and anger started to mix and the flames couldn't be controlled anymore. Letting out a growl she let her hand fling out towards a building. Suddenly the bricks caught on fire, screams filled the air as it grew. Looking towards it she froze, confusion in her eyes. That had never happen before.

Grabbing Ella's hand he pulled her back, as the building caught on fire. "Steve..." He warned, he wanted his friend away from the emotional wreck of a girl who was standing in front of him. Screams of pain came from the building and he watched Coal drop to her knee's, tears falling from her eyes. She seemed to working something out in her head, maybe trying to get the flames to die but they didn't they only got bigger. "Make it stop!" Coal screamed as she covered her ears with her hands, closing her eyes.

Ella looked around, not so much scared at first, but dazed. This had never happened before, sure, small ones, the size campfires, but never this big, no, not big enough to burn a whole building. She snapped out of it rather quickly, instantly dropping to her best friend's side, reaching out cautiously to touch her, "what did you do?" The question came out as a whisper, a genuine question. She turned to Steve and Scott, who were staring, "this is a bad time, it isn't what it looks like," she put her focus back on her friend, forcing herself not to zone out.

Steve looked at Scott for a second, "did you see that?" The question was rhetorical, everyone around had seen it, just they were the only one's that hadn't run for shelter. He tossed Ella's statement around in his head, what was this supposed to look like?

"What did I do?!" She snapped at her friend, "Is that all? Ella! I may have killed some people just now and that's all you can say!" Tears ran down her face as she looked up at Scott and Steve, "I am so sorry..." Quickly she stood and raced towards their apartment.

The man nodded to Steve, his pity growing for the young girl. "Coal it's okay... I think everyone is okay.." He looked up at the building and flinched.

Ella sighed, knowing it was no use running after her, she needed time, and a lot of it. "What happens now? You kill us, because I know that it looks like we're the bad guys, but we're not... it's a lot to ask, but can you forget what you saw? No one else will believe it, so it'll be relatively easy, running is all we do lately."

Steve looked at Ella, then to Scott, "you handle this, I'll be right back," he turned and walked towards the building the girls had exited earlier, also the direction she had run in. He entered the building quietly, taking the stairs two at a time, until he smelled smoke, coming from behind one of the doors, he entered the small apartment, "Coal?" He said her name as loud as he dared.
