Bear was born as a kittypet to Smores and Kodi. Once him and his sister, Valentine were at the age where twolegs would take kits away from their mothers, Smores and Kodi took Bear and Valentine away. Smores took Valentine away to a different tribe that was very far away, where she now has a mate and is about to have her second litter, and Kodi took Bear to the Tribe of Strong Pines. The brown tabby tom trained and grew up with Sunteller and most of the older tribe cats, including Light and Horizon. He got the scar on his forehead from the same eagle attack that killed Light, Petal and Talon's parents, and injured Talon.
