Elijah looked at Willowpelt in disbelief, "I'm not going back to camp! I'm a rouge, I don't belong in a clan camp!" He let out a small hiss, lowering his ears as he flicked his black tail. Why would she think that! I ran away for a reason and they want my back? No way. He felt his whiskers twitch with anticipation.

Stormpaw looked at Echo, his pleading gaze telling her she had to do something. She looked at Ebonystar, sighing. "Forgive me," She mumbled, coming out from behind Ebonystar. She looked at Skylar, letting out a small hiss, flicking her tail impatiently. She then ran at the she-cat, leaping over her and running into the forest, hoping the female would follow him and let Echo be.

Ebonystar watched as Stormpaw darted off. She sucked in air, watching with anxiety. The she-cat was gone, who knows where. Ebonystar felt temptation to follow but her attention was quickly drawn to voices nearby, much more important than Echo and Skylar. Ebonystar's eyes looked to Echo, he seemed like such a scared cat but he interested her. He was not alone, he was not with Skylar. Another scent clung to the tom, faint where she was but evident. She made a mental note of the location and moved off towards the two voices, her body was hesitant and stiff, but Stormpaw could take care of herself, correct?

Rabbitfoot looked to Willowpelt, he shook his head at her command and Elijah was quick to follow with rejection. Rabbitfoot looked on, remaining silent for quite some time until he felt the need to speak up. "Perhaps we should leave him alone? It was his decision to be on his own and he looks well. He's not thin, he's perfectly fine on his own." Rabbitfoot mewed to the she-cat in a bit of a quiet voice. Elijah could still hear him but the words were clearly intended for Willowpelt to hear and find reason with.

Glancing back at the noise the younger cats were making, a quiet purr rose in Blossomlight's throat. It was when her gaze landed upon Adderfang that she halted in her tracks, just before they crossed into the forest. An idea simmered at the forefront of her mind. "Let's invite Adderfang along," she suggested to Lilystream, and without waiting for an answer, called out to him happily. "Adderfang! Would you like to come along with us? We're going looking for feathers to line our nests with."

Relief flooded him as Stormpaw caught his gaze, his chest swelling with gratitude when she jumped into action, something he hadn't actually expected her to do. With Ebonystar's attention diverted from both him and the female rogue near him, Echo began to slowly creep backwards, back into the brush he originally came from, almost desperate now to reach his brother again. At about five or six paces back he took off, paws flying as he fled back towards his little set where Raven awaited him. He zigzagged through the trees and practically tumbled back into their den once he reached it, surprising the other catling, alarm reflecting within his pale blue gaze.

Alarm flashed through Raven as Echo crashed into him, knocking them both to the dusty ground underfoot. "Echo? What's wrong?" he mewed worriedly, voice muffled by the fluff that covered his face. The catling in question scrambled off of him, pupils wide and chest rising and falling as he struggled to regain his breath. "Forest cats," he managed in a whisper. "I almost got caught by them." He could tell there was something his littermate wasn't really telling him, but he shook off the thought and leaned against him comfortingly. "Hopefully they didn't follow you," he murmured.

Elijah felt relief when Rabbitfoot agreed with him. I might still be young and I might still be making mistakes, but this is something I know I have to do. Elijah stood up, flicking his tail to where his wound was. He just looked at the two cats, "I'm leaving," he simply stated, turning around the the mess of brambles. He then leaped into the air, digging his claws into a nearby oak tree.

Skylar watched in confusion as the apprentice leapt over the leader and pelted into the forest. She knew she was making a distracting so they could escape but she didn't understand why. Even more to her confusion the she-cat suddenly went from aggressive to passive and simply walked away towards the voices. She relaxed a bit now that the clan cats were gone. Behind her she heard the sound of the loner running away. For a moment she was left standing alone before she sprinted after him. She stopped behind a bush out of sight but able to see where the tom stopped. There was another cat with him. The she-cat nearly hissed in annoyance. Does no cat around here realize that it's better to be alone. She turned away and accidently noisily snapped a twig. She hissed, "mousedung".

His relief was sapped the moment he caught wind of a twig being snapped a short distance from the mouth of their den. He pressed back into his brother, ears flattening against his skull as he saw his brother lift his chin and part his maw slightly, tasting the air. Echo's mind reeled. Had they followed him after all?

Apparently he'd spoken too soon. Raven tasted the air as his brother cowered into his side, obviously shaken, which concerned him all the more. These cats were definitely not a force to be reckoned with. He rasped his tongue over his brother's ear and bravely skittered to the mouth of the yawning den, poking his dark-furred head out to see if he could catch a glimpse of their pursuer. Confusion bubbled to the forefront of his mind when he saw nothing, so he ended up pulling back to look at his brother with wide, unsure eyes.

Skylar stepped out from her hiding spot. She wasn't really sure why she did though. She normally stayed alone but today she already risked her life defending a cat she didn't know and now she was approaching them. She pushed the thoughts aside. What's done is done, she thought to herself. There's no going back now. She padded forwards keeping her gaze set on the two loners. They both seemed young. Probably about the same age as the apprentice that allowed them to escape. She hoped nothing bad happened to him for doing that although she suspected he had motives more important to him than our escape.

Standing tall and protective in front of his brother, Raven's tufty fur puffed out to twice its size, making him appear slightly bigger than he really was. His short coat didn't help too much. "Who are you?" he demanded, though instead of sounding strong and confident like he'd intended, his voice quivered, a hint of fear audible beneath his apparent façade.
